Good for supplements, but I wanted snacks for the road. They do have a small selection so it worked. The only disappointment was that I had already eaten a hotel breakfast and I would have rather eaten at the restaurant inside the store. It smelled delicious!!!

A great organization. A real hometown treasure. Without exception, the staff members are kind, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. The Carrot Patch Cafe is great too, as are the team members.

This is for the cafe; I have no opinion on the store itself. I was in Kerriville for the day and looking for a healthy place to grab some lunch. If this is what Kerrville calls healthy, they may want to Google the definition. The entire menu had either meat or cheese or both in everything.
I ordered a garden salad, which was supposed to have mixed greens, carrots, cucumber, red onion, cheese, and sunflower seeds. I asked for it with no cheese and raspberry vinaigrette. The salad was on the board for $4.95, but the final cost was $6.45. Not sure what they think taxes are, or if they actually build in an inflated gratuity for a counter order restaurant, but $6.45 for that was a joke.
While waiting, I watched them in the kitchen area and neither kitchen staff wore gloves while handling food. The woman actually smacked a spoon onto the inside edge of the garbage to knock food off and continued to use it!
After my salad was made, this same woman started to pour the wrong dressing into the to-go container and instead of dumping it or using a new container, she just grabbed the right dressing and poured it on top. My salad then sat back there on the counter for 5 minutes, before someone handed it to me.
I got my salad and left. When I opened it, there was barely anything but greens; maybe a tablespoon total of non-greens. Even more ridiculous; there were pine nuts on it and not sunflower seeds. BIG difference between those two flavors on a salad.
Now I would have just chalked this up to a poor choice for lunch in this town, but for the fact that I spent the next two hours sick. If you want to run a "health food" cafe, don't forget the "Health" part.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - J. F.TX, TX02Jul 10, 2020
I like this place so much! My "go to" for all healthy food and anything vitamin or supplement related! High-quality foods and the staff is always very helpful and friendly. And the staffers are highly knowledgeable when it comes to vitamins. I like to pick their brains, a little when I'm there. Ha Ha! I will most definitely be a long-time patron to Kerrville Health Foods! Thanks or the outstanding service, everyone!

Went in looking for SAMe , having only read a few things about it. The man who worked there was very helpful and informative giving us several and less expensive items to choose from and recommended some more. Very knowledgeable on everything we asked and also very patient, I recommend it if you are looking for a supplement of some kind or a vitamin or herb and have questions. And its local so you know you're helping out the local economy.

In May, 2018 I purchased two bottles of local honey from this store. The clerk told me about their discount card which I could use to purchase the honey. I bought the discount card for $10.00, and purchased the honey at 10% discount of $7.20 per bottle. On August 20, 2018 I went to the store to buy two more bottles of the honey. The price had been raised to $8.50 per bottle. I offered my discount card to the cashier, who told me that the discount card could not be used on the honey. I objected, and was referred to the owner. The owner explained to me that the profit margin on the honey did not allow them to offer the discount. I explained to him that I had purchased the card with the express purpose to use it on the honey which I buy routinely from this store, and that I buy no other product there. He was verbose and unreasonable, and finally offered to return $5.00 of the fee for the discount card. I agreed to this since I saw that reasoning with him was not going to happen. I equate this to the typical Bait and Switch tactics practice used too often in retail stores.
