Was closed. Appeared to have been closed for aime time. I was there around dinner time, no lights, no signs in the windows.
Not sure what else to say in order to get this review to post.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Oct 26, 2019
Nice set up! Super classy... attempts to look very upscale but the staff/bartender desires to treat it like a neighbor hood not-so-classy bar. Based on language and demeanor. Prices on drinks are very much based as if it was a more upscale. Just had a Mint Julip... pretty good, a little pricy. I mean it's not like I had an upscale bourbon with bitters.
Thought about an appetizer, then thought better if itHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 439440917Aug 25, 2018
Killarney's is just what this area needs, it's a great venue with an incredible staff. There was a cover tonight since there was a band. The band sounded incredible, this place always seems to pick the right bands.
The bartenders and entire staff here are awesome. Not only because they make great drinks and provide great conversation, but they make you feel at home. I've been here a few times and each time I meet someone in their staff that is equally impressive and complements my night. Demarion (I think I butchered his name) was friendly and funny, and always knew my drink, even when I forgot what it was I had. Zac was equally friendly and on point and has a great sense of humor as well. Zach the server has a great personality and knows how to treat people, he's a pretty attentive guy and an asset to the place in my opinion. There's also a server named Stacy that is hilarious and keeps a smile on your face. How can this place get any better?
I've ordered food here several times, it's always fast and delicious. The quesadillas and made perfectly and they are tender and incredible. I think I will be catching a few Monday night games here.
There's a room in the back of the bar where you can play pool or darts. The room is always low-key and there is plenty of room to assure you still don't feel too cramped.
The bathrooms are clean and I feel the place is fresh and not bar smelly like some of the older bars I've been to in the area. Aesthetics count, and they take the extra step.
When I walk into this place and feel the vibe, I'm happier than a clown with a pile of makeup. I feel like this is my new Cheers in Allen/Fairview where everybody knows my name...Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jeff M.Plano, TX479387Aug 1, 2021
TLDR: Mediocre food. Nonexistent service. Great drinks. Killer band.
Out for some fun on Saturday night. Band called Counterfeit Radio was playing Fantastic time!
Way, way, way understaffed. After an hour of "I'll be right with you", gave up & ordered from the bar. Drinks were quick, appetizers were another 45 minutes. Food was mediocre. Two people in our group essentially became our servers running back and forth to get drinks.
No band = no go for me. One of only a few spots in Allen/Fairview with any sort of nightlife. Good for music, drinks, and dancing. Useless as a restaurant.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jack L.Greenville, SC53781452Jul 28, 2021
Went here with a coworker tonight and actually enjoyed this place. Looks like they have a limited menu now with only 10 or 12 items. Was hoping for Shepherds Pie but that wasn't offered. Got the Reuben sandwich and it was delicious! Made with actual stewed beef! The wedge fries were good too. Coworker had the Irish burger and he said it was one of the best he's ever had.
There was only one other person I. The whole restaurant at 6pm on a Wednesday so not sure what was up with that. They had karaoke going on later tonight.
I really liked this place. I would definitely go back!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jana B.Allen, TX66328200Sep 28, 2018
First time to this place & disclaimer: I am not an Irish citizen, but over 50% Irish DNA and have traveled there several times. My first impression was mixed.
FOOD: We had the Irish Stew, Guinness (with a shot of Chambord) and the "Irish Apple Pie". The Irish stew was not what I had in mind, it was a decent American stew with celery, potatoes & carrots--but beef. I am used to it being lamb stew with a large piece of Irish soda bread. Not the two baguette slices this place served. Would be more authentic with the soda bread at least.
The other menu selections were lean on real Irish food.
ATMOSPHERE: Good location, great pub atmosphere, live music and lots of diverse patrons. We went on a Friday night and it was Biker night.
SERVICE: The waitstaff is excellent--attentive and do not hover, hurry or rush.
TIPS: This place has a poor website. No menu, calendar is not up to date. Will go back again & try the Fish & Chips. My tip--stick with the Guinness and Jameson's.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jul 6, 2018
My wife and I had lunch there today and it was our first visit. The place is much bigger than we expected and seemed like more of a sports bar with all of the TV screens. We were almost the only people in the place and there was only one server. He told us it is more of a night crowd. It is called an Irish pub but I will have to come back to figure out why. There did not seem to be anything that reminded me of the pubs in Ireland but maybe that changes when there is live music??
My wife and I had sandwiches and they were well prepared. Our server apologized for the length of time it took to get our order out. We were not in a hurry so it was not a problem. If you are on a tight schedule you might ask how long it will take to get your food. I think they were just short handed because another server arrived before we were ready to leave.
We agreed that we would like to come back and check out the live music. Our server was excellent and the place was very clean. Check it out and see what you think.Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Brian M.Newark, CA16685143Sep 20, 2019
Drinks specials every day. Tonight $2.75 domestics.
Fire kitchen. Locals are found at this pub.
Live music most nights.
Pool and darts.
Pretty large venue which makes for a great place to socialize or just have drinks.
Had a fun time and made it home.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bob G.Plano, TX9315Jan 5, 2022
Love this place but the Owner told me that they are temporarily closed. I hope they reopen soon. Great place, good location but like so many places, they can't find enough help.

Went the first week that it opened to grab a burger and a beer. It was earlyish so the place was empty and got to talk to the new owner. They have a nice size stage and will be a super cool place for night life. The burger was made fresh so was very tasty and their signature fries are a must try. Will definitely be back!
