I love this place for my lunch sushi! I usually order takeout but I have eaten there a couple of times for lunch. Great service and owners. Fresh sushi, good portions and great prices! They were open during Covid which was AMAZING! I love this place and highly recommend!

Oh no 0Jul 4, 2021Previous reviewI come here for take out lunch and it's the best! Fresh sushi and they have a great lunch menu. Kushi Sushi also stayed open (for delivery only) during the pandemic and I cannot thank them enough! I would totally recommend Kushi Sushi as a "go to" sushi restaurant!!

Every time my boyfriend and I come here (as we're regulars) we are always greeted by Joy and Nate. Nate is a fantastic sushi chef who creates delicious eats on and off the menu. I always opt for the menu items including sautéed baby bok choy, and my usual staples, the 2019 roll, volcano roll or the spicy salmon roll. Fish is always fresh. Great flavor. Nate's dishes never disappoint and he makes his creations a beautiful piece of art. They never rush you out but don't worry, you'll never leave hungry. Oh did I mention you'll get a complimentary appetizer (spicy salmon balls prepared on sliced cucumber)? If you are in the area, I highly recommend stopping by to satisfy your sushi cravings.

This place is still king!
Nowadays my go to order is the sushi/sashimi combo for lunch and it is always excellent. The fish is fresh and delicate, the rice is always perfectly done. My favorite part though is the salmon that comes with the order. Always smooth and has a nice, fatty taste to it. Delicious.
Even after all these years, its still my favorite sushi place on Long Island!

I've been to many LI sushi places and there seems to be a competition among them to find a new innovative way to dress up imitation crab and sticky rice. Plus the location of the restaurant makes it so easy to pass by.
But Kushi Sushi, exceeded my expectations by far.
The place inside is well put together. Very classy, intimate, it's a nice surprise considering the strip mall it's in.
Granted I just got take out, but it was good takeout! I got the Super White Roll which was spicy white tuna, white tuna, crunch and wasabi sauce. A little concerned with white tuna listed twice, but Kushi Sushi made that roll work. The texture of the rice, crunch and fish melded so well.
And dare I say it, I didn't need to make a soy sauce-wasabi paste (Yeah, you all know what I'm talking about) to dip the sushi into. It was pleasant all by itself.
I will definitely be back for more.

This place was one of my favorite Japanese restaurants growing up since it was so close to my house. It was a nice small dine in with a sushi bar which is great for those stopping by for a quick lunch or dinner. The staff have always been nice and the food was good. Recently I stopped by here again and I am not sure if it is worth coming back. The portions were much smaller than any of the other Japanese restaurants in the area and the food did not taste cooked well. I stayed on the safe side and ordered the Salmon teriyak lunch special and what I received was very small.
