La Barbería Barbershop

I started coming here about 3-4 months ago when I was searching for a new barber once my original barber decided to relocate his business to Atlanta. My brother came across Raymundo's Instagram page once he got back from basic training and flight school. He's a little more care free and risk tolerant than I am when it comes to appearance so I let him be the guinea pig for a couple of weeks before I tried him for myself. I was reluctant at first because Raymundo is of Spanish/Latin American decent and I'm African American so I wasn't sure if he was skilled and familiar with cutting my texture of hair. But I must say, the kid got skills. Not only is he good with the clippers and listens to direction well but he's also very engaging and easy to talk to which is essential when choosing a new barber shop. He also looks out with his or candy when he has it to offer. The shop is always kept clean and the other employees are cool as well. I usually go and get my haircut in the middle of the week during my lunch break when it's not busy. They take walk-ins and appointments so it shouldn't be hard to get into a seat and get a cut. There are also TV's and WiFi to help with your wait if you end up having one.

I'm visiting Richmond on a desperate need for a good haircut and luckily I found La Barbería. Ron hooked me up as if I was still in Los Angeles with a tight high fade. This place is nice clean and big. I came on the afternoon so there was no line. New place that would become my new to go place if I lived here. Located on the second floor there is plenty of parking. Haircut was $15 dollars and customer service was priceless. $10 Wednesday special. (Came in on a Tuesday).

I'm new to the area and think I've found my new barbershop. Barber was top notch and took his time to get haircut and beard just right. Shop was clean and the staff was upbeat. I even had to stop the barber a couple of times because I was laughing so hard. Highly recommend.
