Be ready to meet the most happiest person in Paris who made our night with her great hospitality. A small restaurant with only few seats and absolutely delicious food made our last night in Paris. We tried a dozen of oysters and smoked salmon which they both tasted like heaven and not to mention the great wine which was the best combination. This restaurant is already in my bucket list for the next time that I'm in Paris.

I have to start this review by saying from the moment I rang up to make a reservation the lady was extremely friendly, polite and attentive...something which can be a rarity here in Paris.
When we arrived to this small unasuming quaint little restaurant it was clear that the food and the family spoke for itself. I have to say these were the best oysters I had ever eaten. Keeping up a traditional method of farming oysters this family proves how traditional family hard work brings the best produce to the table.
This is without doubt the BEST place in Paris for oysters and you get a warm friendly service. It's a must!!!!! Thank you for a fantastic night xxxHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Evelyn L.New York, NY761577Oct 16, 2012
We stopped by this little oyster shop just hours after we got off a redeye. The place is tiny and unassuming, so it's easy to miss. We walked by a couple of times before finding it. One thing to note, they have no printed menus, only what is posted in the window (in French only). The waitresses here don't speak a whole lot of English. So, if you don't read/speak a lick of French or any romance language, it's best to use google translate and pick out what you want before entering.
You can order oysters ala carte or you can order off of one of their set menus. Since we had lunch plans afterwards, we were interested in sharing one of the lighter options, which gave you 12 oysters and your choice of foie gras, smoked salmon or cheese for 21 euros. Although the bf was worried about his LDH cholesterol going through the roof, I talked him into ordering the foie gras. The oysters were briney and flavorful and the foie gras tasted like rich, fatty, velvety heaven (sorry PETA). The whole thing was simple, yet very delicious. No wonder we saw so many locals lounging around sipping wine and slurping dozens after dozens of oysters.
There was some confusion when the bill came. The waitress charged us the price for ordering each item ala carte, since we needed to order a set meal for each person in order to get the set price. Also for the germaphobes, I did find a hair in one of my oysters. Despite these annoyances, I will definitely be back the next time I'm in town.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Wenchao X.El Segundo, Los Angeles, CA037Mar 10, 2017

Make a reservation on Friday or Saturday. If you love oysters, then definitely go here. Family run with oysters direct from the bed to the table. Definitely try the cheese plate. I'd suggest this as an involved appetizer course before a later, longer dinner unless you're on the Kate Moss diet plan. The only French you need to know is "huitres, du vin, and fromage." Oh yes, and "l'addition, SVP."

My husband and I ate here during our vacation in Paris - it was wonderful. The owners were extremely friendly and even added a small table for us when seating wasn't available. And the oysters..they were delicious and huge! Wish I had some right now!

Very nice, small seafood place. Owner is friendly and knowledgeable, let him choose your oysters. We would return, always a good sign. The salmon and soup were equally good. Go.

We loved this restaurant! My wife and I found out about La Cabane while searching for seafood restaurants on our Paris trip. We had already done the big, expensive tasting menus -- so we thought we'd try something a little simpler -- and we discovered "The Oyster Hut." The place was packed on a Wednesday night at 7:30, and we didn't have a reservation, but the woman, who we think was one of the owners, told us to come back in 20 minutes. Upon returning from a beer at a brasserie next door, she sat us right away. There is only room for 18 people in the entire place. We never saw a menu -- she brought us a bottle white wine, and told us the smoked salmon appetizer was good. It was some of the best salmon I've ever had -- served simply on a bed of butter lettuce -- along with fantastic French bread. Next she brought us two huge platters of oysters that were also excellent. And for dessert we had a small cheese plate. I will definitely go back again - but this time with a reservation. Dinner for two, with a bottle of good French wine, all for 60 Euros.
