A hole on a wall, clean, the owner attending cashier, very friendly and open for suggestion. Not a restaurant is a empanada factory they starting to serve singles and the future plan is to place tables outside with umbrellas so people can eat there. I ordered 2 empanada's beef boricua good flavor. Is hard to see because of a huge restaurant next door with a bunch of flags blocking the view of this little place so I suggested to put something indicating the place so people won't missed and maybe make the empanada's little bigger!!

We stopped by today. It's such a quite restaurant, very friendly. We ate and played cards.
We had 3 different type of empanadas - Aztec and Florentina, and Guava.
They fried. It was very fresh.
The green sauce was nice and spicy.
We also had 2 different drinks cold and hot.
Love that they are starting a farmers market in front of the restaurant on Sundays.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 02836Dec 21, 2022
This is a hole in the wall that makes excellent empanadas.
We used to get them all the time through delivery, but then they changed things and came out with their own app.
Went to pickup at their brick and mortar location for the first time after the World Cup Final and was impressed, although the door was a bit stuck - I had to keep letting people in because they couldn't open it.
The Spinach and Azteca empanadas are wonderful. The Caprese works great with the chimichuri.
The one problem - other than being far away - is their stock. After my order, they only had four empanadas left, and this was right in the middle of lunch time.
Great empanadas - just be ready for them to run out.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Abigayle M.San Antonio, TX969Aug 6, 2023
These empanadas were incredible! The green salsa was really good, it had a really nice kick and tasted amazing. I had gotten the Florentina-
Mexican style and it had a lot of flavors, you can taste the spinach, the cheese was so stringy, and the chicken was excellent. We had the option to either have them air-fried or deep fried, the air fryer did not disappoint. If you would like to see photos of them, go check out Sonia Palacios Review. We went around 1:30 on a Sunday, and it was very peaceful. It was very relaxing because as you're waiting for your food you feel as if you can actually talk and have fun and even play games. We played a card game while we waited and it didn't take that long either. The man, which I assume is the owner or the cashier was very polite and patient. I hope my review brings more business to them. Overall, I am most definitely coming back here, 100%. Thank you.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Felix G.San Antonio, TX405269496Oct 25, 2023
Pretty dang good empanadas the sauces were all great! A bit pricey 7 empanadas and four drink turned out to be about $65 before tip. But not a bad spot.

I placed an order of two dozen appetizer size empanadas, one beef and one chicken. They were the best and absolutely delicious. Each empanada was individually wrapped which was an added surprise.

Absolutely loved the chicken empanadas, also the spinach and cheese! My family loved the Boriqua so I'll try those next time.

Every year we do Friendsgiving with a theme. This past one was Latin foods. But of course with no time to make a dish or even look into one that I could find all the ingredients. I came upon La Che Empanadas & thought this is perfect! I love Argentinian empanadas & hadn't had any in a while. I called and they were very helpful with explaining their menu. I was able to order a week in advance since it was some what of a big order. The day I went to pick up, I was very surprised that:
1: it was literally a while in the wall place.
2: it was packed!
I didn't have to wait long but the time I was there waiting, I noticed the live this family put into their restaurant. You could tell it was a family owned place & that they had poured their heart & soul into this dream that became a reality for them. I'm telling you this lace is not very big, but there was a lot of people with their families eating. You could hear the chatter & laughter from the dining area. Once they had my large order ready they even gave me instructions on how to heat up the empanadas, to make sure we got to enjoy them properly. Needless to say everyone enjoyed them! I had to share the name & location to everyone because they were hands down so delicious! 100% recommend!!!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cesar F.San Antonio, TX02Aug 17, 2023
I went here once. Loved the vegan options. Unfortunately I can never have them again. The hours suck! who opens at 9am??? Most people I know are in school or at work by that time. Then when i try to order thru Uber Eats (at 9am on the dot) they are sold out!!! So no I can never support them no matter how hard I try.
