La Famiglia Ristorante & Pizzeria

Very good food, but the service is a bit slow. Very friendly staff and it's BYOB so it makes up for the slow service! Great family restaurant that is kid-friendly. We've been here several times and every time the food did not disappoint! We've had the hot honey calamari, baked clams, chicken Milanese, lasagna, pizza, penne vodka - all amazing!

I can't say enough about this restaurant. The staff is so friendly and efficient, the dining room is beautiful and decorated so well, and the food was to die for. I get penne vodka everywhere I go (it's my favorite) and this is hands down the best one I've had. The chicken giambotta is also so good. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I also had a great experience booking an event with them for my daughter's baptism. The prices are fair, the menu choices are great, and again everyone's so kind and helpful. Both Paul and Deanna are great.

Tonight while making some tees for a client, I had the pleasure of indulging in a delicious pizza and wings combo that left my taste buds singing with joy. The pizza was simply outstanding, with a crust that was crisp and chewy, and a perfect balance of toppings that made every bite a delight.

The cheese was melted to perfection, creating a gooey and savory layer that complemented the tangy tomato sauce perfectly. The sauce itself was rich and flavorful, with just the right amount of acidity to cut through the richness of the cheese.

But the real standout of the meal was the wings. They were cooked to crispy perfection, with a juicy and tender interior that practically melted in my mouth. The buffalo wing sauce was spot on, with just the right amount of heat to give them a little kick, but not so much that it overwhelmed the flavor of the chicken.

Overall, I would highly recommend this pizza and wings combo to anyone looking for a delicious and satisfying bite. The quality of the ingredients, the perfect cooking techniques, and the overall balance of flavors made for a truly memorable dining experience.

Had an excellent and enjoyable evening at La Famiglia. It's much larger inside than I expected as it has two rooms. The service from Paul and Dena was excellent. They were very friendly and attentive. The food was delicious. We were not rushed and were able to take our time. It's open on Mondays which is a plus since many restaurants are not open. We had the meatballs and House salad to start. For entrees we had Chicken Parm, Chicken Milanese and Chicken Francese. All three were great. We enjoyed dessert as well. The apple crumb is homemade. They have live music on Wednesdays starting at 6pm. It's a BYOB.

We had recently visited this restaurant and were very disappointed. The service was awful- food not much better. The chicken was rubbery and not heated (I felt like I was eating leftovers). We had to try to catch someone to help us - Finally, we got it back and got the same piece, and it was a little warmer, so I picked at it so I wouldn't be hungry, but I did NOT enjoy it. ( they didn't offer to make a new one - so I was like, whatever- side note- never sent food back before)
We were left all hungry and very dissatisfied. Other meals seemed to have smaller portions, and no one seemed thrilled with their food. We asked for the check, and when we tried to give a credit card, no one returned for a long time. We decided to pay them in cash so we could finally leave.

Delicious, fast and friendly service! One of the friendliest restaurants! Attentive service!

Best Pizza ever! Delicious

I placed a $65 delivery order at La Famiia. Escarole with garlic, eggplant parm and pasta with broccoli rabe and sausage. The escarole was gritty and hadn't been cleaned. I had to throw it away. The eggplant in the eggplant parm didn't taste fresh. I had to throw it away. The pasta with sausage was completely unappetizing. The sausages weren't cut into bites but were instead sliced down the center. I had 4" pieces of sausage swimming in an oily mess. I've never seen this dish prepared with so little consideration.

I called the restaurant and spoke to the manager. I told him that my order was very disappointing for the reasons I explained above. His only response was, "Thank you". NO APOLOGY. No mention about making it up to me or doing better. NOTHING. I have never written a food review before, but this experience was awful.

Friend of my husband raved about this place.

It started out great. Restaurant is very pretty and atmosphere is good. Service was outstanding!! Prices are very reasonable.

Bread was hot and delicious.

We started with the Famiglia Special appetizer.
Sausage, long hots, broccoli rabe and potato which was delicious. Very large portion.
Caesar salad was also very good. big enough to split.
Mozzarella sticks were good.

So far so good!!

Angel hair with marinara was delicious.

Now.. Double cut pork chop Giambotta.. (cooked medium) they butterflied the pork chop? Why?
The flavor on the chop was outstanding... unfortunately it was overcooked. (still don't understand why you would butterfly a double cut)

Linguini with clams in white wine.
Linguini was cooked perfectly. Lots of clams. But.... The sauce was not good. It was a thicker sauce (looked coagulated) which lacked any flavor. I was surprised considering the amount of garlic in the sauce but couldn't taste it at all.

Dessert ... apple crumb
Was not even warm. Was gummy and not flavorful.

Had high hopes for this place.
Will give it a second chance and update accordingly.

This Italian American eatery had been mentioned to me by a couple of people over the years. I finally got to try it. It was a Friday night and the place was packed which I thought was a good sign. I had a reservation. Upon arrival we were greeted and seated right away. The staff was very friendly and our waiter Paul was attentive and very funny. He knew the menu and was able to answer all questions and make recommendations. For apps my table ordered hotsy totsy calamari & shrimp and artichoke hearts oregonata. I love both of these dishes and get them often at other restaurants I frequent. However, they were not what I'm used to. There's was barely any spicy tomato type of sauce on the calamari and shrimp. The breading on the shrimp was nice and crisp but the breading on the calamari was soft and mushy. I also didn't care for the texture of the calamari. I thought it was little rubbery. The artichoke hearts were overloaded with vinegar and mushy breadcrumbs. They were also topped with a pile frizzled onions which I felt did not pair well with the flavor artichokes. I really did not care for either dish at all. I did not like the way they tasted or some of the textural elements. After tasting a bite or two of each dish I knew I didn't like them or want to continue eating them so I told my waiter and sent them back. He apologized and said he would take care of it. I told him it wasn't his fault and that I appreciated him taking them back. Shortly after, the owner stormed up to my table, to me, and bent down to my ear so I could hear him. I could tell by his body language and the look in his eyes as he approached me that he wasn't annoyed and insulted and I was right. He asked me what was wrong with the food. When I expressed my opinion he said no, no, no! Not my calamari and if you want it crispy you have to order it that way. He reluctantly said he would take the apps off the bill this time but he was not happy with me at all. The issue was not with his food but rather with me, my tastebuds and my opinion. However the others dining with me who also tasted the apps agreed with my critique. I found his demeanor very offputting, rude and unprofessional. Although my entree of ribeye giambotta was tasty, the tres leches cake I had for dessert was yummy and I really liked my waiter Paul, chances of me returning or recommending La Famiglia are slim to none due to the owner's behavior. Overall the flavor profile of the food that I tasted that night was more American and less Italian. The decore could use some updating as well. I'm sure there are many people out there that love and frequent this restaurant. Unfortunately I am not one of them.
