La Michoacana Taqueria offers tacos, nachos, tamales, different entrees, featured specials (on the dry-erase board), as well as some imported beer.
When you walk in, there are about 5 booths and some counter seating. We took place at the counter, and we ordered the following to share: Asada (steak that came with some sauce; good flavor), Carnitas (fried pork, this had some little bits of fat chunks, but the taste was good), Pastor (marinated pork; this was more like roasted pork; the hubs liked this, but I thought it was forgettable), and Taco Loco (a mix of chicken, beef, chorizo, cactus, jalapenos, and a mixture of veggies; this reminded me slightly of a savory Ethiopian dish; pretty tasty). You choose either handmade corn tortillas or flour tortillas (we opted for the corn), and choose your 'style' (they had 2; 'Mexican Style' is a topping of cilantro and white onion; 'Super Style' is topped with cilantro, onion, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and shredded cheese) - I opted for the 'Mexican Style,' no cilantro (of course), to keep it as authentic as possible.
There was a little sauce container 'bar' with tomatillo, salsa, watery guacamole, and hot peppers; there was also a little plastic container of pickled spicy carrots & onions (that was tangy and great to add to your tacos).
The handmade corn tortillas were delicious, and definitely held and compliment the fillings well.

The menu offers tacos, nachos, tamales, different entrees, featured specials (on the dry-erase board), as well as some imported beer. There was a little sauce container 'bar' with tomatillo, salsa, watery guacamole, and hot peppers; there was also a little plastic container of pickled spicy carrots & onions (that was tangy and great to add to your tacos). The tacos? They were actually quite delicious! I really liked the Asada and the Taco Loco, as they all had great flavor with the seasoning, the freshness of the raw white onions, and even a nice kick from the pickled onions & carrot slices. The handmade corn tortillas were delicious, and definitely held and compliment the fillings well. We also tried the horchata, and it was slightly grainy, but still refreshing to down the tacos. The staff here were very sweet and friendly, and the place was really buzzing with families and the locals just dining in Just a note that they only accept cash! Definitely a great taco place, I'll be back! :D

Solid 4.5. Legit Mexican food, not typical TexMex with free chips n salsa. Small dining area with some outdoor seating too. Everything is a la carte...and delicious LOL. Staff are patient and helpful. Our clan of 6 enjoyed chips x2 and queso, Flautas, Nachos Supreme x2, Quesabirria, Tostadas, and Tacos. Totaled over $90 with tip. Gotta love corn tortillas to feed gluten free peeps and a made fresh daily, self-serve authentic salsa bar. Quesabirria was a Saturday only special; dipping soup tasty but prob not best on a 95 degree day. Tacos were above average at first BUT instantly elevated when salsa added.
Parking lot is easy to miss; not a ton of spaces but many people just Tetris'd themselves in.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jan 7, 2024
I love this cozy little spot. It just feels like home. Everything I've eaten here so far has been amazing but the Quesadillas a la Parrilla is my favorite. Everyone working is so friendly and the food comes out so quickly. They have a salsa bar with a variety of different salsas which I love. Their passion fruit agua Fresca is amazing. There is parking right out front and some additional parking towards the back/side of the building. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Such an amazing authentic spot!

Such good AUTHENTIC food. Always full of Hispanic people so you know the food slaps. Portions are huge and the guys working are so nice! And the food.... The food is next level. Do yourself a favor and check it out!

My husband and I ate today and got the fajitas and nachos. It's a small place but the food was good and the prices are right! We will be back!

Thanks to other reviewers for leading us to a fantastic meal! Tamales were excellent, esp the mole sauce. Asada is amazing. Best Quesadilla my husband has ever had. Very nice little salsa bar included. Service was friendly and fast. Just a few tables inside, and the parking is a bit confusing if you don't get a spot in the front. But any hassle is overshadowed by the delicious food!!

Hmmmmm. Three times in one week. Veggie tamales. Chicken mole tamales. Chicken tinga tostadas. Chicken tinga empanadas. Carnitas tacos. Homemade tortillas and chips. Homemade guacamole. A lot of homemade. Simply delicious.

Excellent tacos!!
People are nice and the price is inexpensive. We shared the four taco platter and that was plenty. I would prefer Coca Cola to the Pepsi fountain.
Small, family owned independent restaurant.
We have avoided all chain restaurants on our three weeks of vacation and we love to support family places.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
