My mom came here first and raved about it, so on her next trip she brought the fam and me.
When I first walked in, I was very pleasantly surprised by the look and feel of this place. It's so quaint with a sweet romantic feel to it -- wooden tables with red and pink roses made it look very nice.
We were immediately greeted by the two girls working that night; they were very sweet and accommodated us the to table we reserved. We came here with a Groupon and they thoroughly explained how it worked.
We started off the with delicious bread. We then had the brie and the flatbread tomato appetizers, both of which were very good.
Problems started when we ordered our entrees: they were out of many of their popular entrees! Most of my family wanted the shrimp ravioli, but they only had enough for one person (darn my lucky little cousin). We all ended up ordering pretty much whatever they had available. I got the chicken alfredo pasta which was very, very good but I wish it would have had a little more sauce (perhaps my personal preference). The chicken in the pasta was grilled or cooked very nicely. Everyone else was also very pleased with their meals.
When it came time for dessert, we encountered the same problem -- they were out of nearly every dessert. The only thing left was the crepes, so we unwillingly ordered them. Although we really wanted to try the other desserts, I must admit that the crepes were great. They were drenched in this sweet orange sauce that was delicious.
Service was sooo incredibly fantastic and sweet. However, the two girls were hustling their butts off to serve an entire full restaurant! Owners/management need to seriously work out all of the kinks. They should especially definitely tell their patrons FIRST THING what they're out of (they shouldn't even be out of anything in the first place) AND secondly, get some more servers!
If it wasn't for these kinks, I'd rate it a full 5 stars. Great food, great feel, great service....major kinks.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Cati B.Miami, FL35146Oct 11, 2015
The food here is so good. We had their roasted chicken which I think is their specialty and it rocked my world! Everything was great and the waiter was very attentive and friendly.
The only reason I gave it 4 stars was because it took me half an hour to find the place. Their sign is tiny and barely visible from the street.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Terry P.Coral Gables, FL03434Mar 15, 2015
My husband and I just had lunch at the wonderful restaurant and I have to say I was very impressed!!
First of all the brioche they bring to the table is out of this world:) I ordered the bib salad and the fois gras:)
The salad was light and very tasty!! The foie gras was delicious!! The menu they offer has light salads and wonderful entrées:) Oh and the good news is you can bring your own wine and there's only a $15 corkage fee:) can't beat that::)))Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Cookie S.Miami, FL195212Nov 1, 2015
4.5 stars as compared to casual French restaurants in South Miami & surrounding area.
This place does casual, French-ish in the same price range as other middling places in the Grove and South Miami, just better (though no good outdoor seating to gawk at strangers).
A company of three went for lunch, had a delicious soup, two huge sandwiches, and a competent omelette. 3 diet cokes. The bill was $60 including a 20% tip, and all 3 of us cut our main plates in half and took the rest home.
Soup: carrot ginger bisque. Flavorful and light, made with veggie stock, came very hot. I think they used both butter and olive oil. Honestly good.
Croque Monsieur: (Welcome to cellulites-ville, population: your ass.) Layers of Gruyere and bread and cream and turkey, then more Gruyere. I managed a single bite and quit. This came with a side salad dressed with a sweet, tart, creamy dressing.
Prosciutto sandwich: Plenty of meat and cheese piled within a crusty ciabatta roll that was slathered with tapenade. Minus a halt point for the half-ripe tomato inside. Fatty, rich, and too salty for my taste. Also came with a side salad.
Omelette with ratatouille: Good! Lighter. The egg part of the omelette was really good- no big brown tough spots. Just nice and fluffy eggs. The ratatouille was watery for an omelette filling, though if the omelette hadn't wept a little, the roasted new potatoes on the plate wouldn't have been bathed in savory goodness. The potatoes were crispy on the outside, a little creamy in the middle.
Still feels like it has new restaurant jitters. It took a while to get our food, but the quality made up for the wait. Our waiter was charming and added much to the experience. Leftovers were packed into a reusable canvas tote bag. To my delight, the check arrived with a petite jar of gummy candies.
Location is next to Shula's steak house, and it's very, very hard to see this location while zipping by along the street. The interior is modern yet cozy and warm with a few outdoor tables along Red Road. It's reasonable and good and and has personality, just what you want in a neighborhood restaurant. I enjoyed it and plan to come back for an apple tart and a glass of sparkling rose.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Carlos M.Coral Gables, FL52Oct 24, 2015
Food was serve cold and service was really bad. They only offer champagne and order 2 glasses 5 times, even got up to their counter to no availability or service. I don't see this restaurant lasting very long with this kind of service.
Will never go back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Grecia C.Miami, FL1441941166Dec 16, 2015
I purchased a Groupon a few days ago to try out this new restaurant and when I called to make reservations the number was disconnected. So we decided to drive over here anyway and take our chances. When we arrived the restaurant seems to have been closed down. Although there are still tables, computers, even motorcycles In there. Maybe it happened recently but it is very aggravating that they would still be selling groupons for a place that is no longer in business. I will take it up with them tomorrow. Very disappointed because I'm always in search of a new French place.

My husband and I went with a Groupon. We were treated like third class citizens. We were sat outside in uncomfortable high chairs. Neither one of the waitresses was familiar with the menu. It was a total disaster. After seeing us there with nothing on the table , they finally brought out the appetizer. It was a beef carpaccio. It was ok. No bread, breadsticks or anything with it. We asked the girls if they served any bread. They said they did , but we never saw it. In the meantime a group of 6 French-sparking people came in and they we served right away. Apparently they were friends/family of the owner as one of the ladies kept going inside for cutlery. We got tired of waiting and complained to the waiter. They are not worth my time or money. We didn't finish our meal and left. We're asking Groupon for a refund!

5 stars on just the Duck Foie Gras starter alone, exquisite dish. The service was excellent, the ambiance nice....will be back soon.

Had the broccoli and bacon soup and the carpaccio salad. Both were amazing but the carpaccio salad was outstanding.

Best Tarte aux Pommes Fines that I have ever eaten State side. Now I don't have to go home to France to savour my favorite désert! It comes with a crème Anglaise, but it does not need to, as it is delicious on its own. I also highly recommend the duck shepherd pie. And you might run into Chef Christophe Leroy having his lunch there... I did!
