Great salon! LaTonya is great and personable. I love to get my natural hair straightened by her. My hair is healthy and moisturized. Her prices are also super reasonable too! I recommend; I left my old stylist a couple years ago for her.

Best salon in the ATX area! The staff is very professional and does quality work. My toddler gets his dreads washed & retwisted here.

This is the first negative review I have felt so compelled to write on someone's business and services, but I felt my experience at La Tonya Jackson's hair palace was just unacceptable.

I had payed for a wig of mine to be sewn down. This was my first time receiving this service so I was unaware of the process. Having left the appointment, my wig cap was noticeably visible. The wig in which I had sewn down was a 360 lace wig meaning I should be able to wear in updos. The wig didn't even sit right on top of my head which later I found out was because of how she braided the hair. I couldn't pull my hair up without my wig being pulled back exposing the cap.

My hair looked like a complete embarrassment. I have never been so disappointed about a hair service. It is very important you do your research & find someone who is a certified wig stylist which La Tonya Jackson is not.

Thankfully I was able to find a real certified wig stylist who was able to do my hair under such short notice because I model and had a photo shoot the next day.. I would not recommend this service or place for anyone seeking professional and quality work.

Moved to Austin in 2015. Initially was off and on. Just started going back and even though the salon is further than I like to drive, it's worth it. The atmosphere is professional and upbeat. I love my hair!

Can't speak on her other services, but please AVOID if you need a virgin relaxer and a trim.

I thought she did a good job with my relaxer, but after two days I noticed that many parts of my hair were still natural. Now only 2 weeks later, my hair is basically completely natural! I'm so mad because I paid her $100 ($95 +$5 tip). I honestly think she just used some sort of texturizer and not a relaxer. When I first spoke with La Tonya, she said price depends on the amount of product she uses- she was extremely skimpy with the product, literally scrapped it until the last drop and barely even put any in my hair. I did notice this and was skeptical, but seeing the end result made me happy so I didn't say anything. I basically got a damn blowout. The product was not even a good one because it had an extremely strong smell. I asked her to trim my ends and cut a side bang, and my ends are still awful and the bang is nonexistent. To make matters worse, my hair is uneven! Now I have to get a corrective relaxer to fix this mess she created. Waste of money and waste of time.

La Tonya is awesome. She is very friendly and made my hair look really nice. I would recommend her.

This is my second time getting my hair done by La Tonya. She's one of my favorite beauticians because she really focuses on my hair, she's quick, and she doesn't make me stay too long by being overly social with clients or overbooking.

PHENOMENAL experience. My 16 yr old daughter got her hair cut & styled today and Latonya's patience, expertise and professionalism is the BEST we've experienced in Austin. She was very personable, communicated and checked throughout. It didn't take long; warm & comfortable atmosphere. We've found our hair salon finally!!!

La Tonya was awesome!! She was very professional and my hair looked great. Pretty clean salon, great conversations. Im not from the area, but I would recommend her for anyone new to the area!! She gave me a partial sew-in, cut and style. Thanks La Tonya!!

She moved much farther north so it's a lot less convenient. The new place had repair issues, but I really wanted to stay. I left after paying $50 for a wash/style that she let her daughter do even though she wasn't licensed and I wasn't asked if it was ok. My hair was in bad shape afterwards,so I've been seeing Cynthia a HCS in Mueller for perms.
