Ahhhh! This is a hidden gem if I've ever seen one. This place is on the Main Street but you have to walk around the bldg to get in. We ate dinner at 11pm (which is one of my favorite things about Rome). They were still packed.

We looked at food on our way to our table and I was worried. It did not look great. We were referred to this place by our AirBNB owner who lives 1 block from the entrance. We decided to give it the benefit of the doubt and boy are we glad we did.

We ordered the Tomato, Garlic, Oil bruschetta €2 and the mozzarella and ham bruschetta €4 - let me tell you these were both so good. The bread was lightly buttered and perfectly toasted. The tomatoes were perfectly seasoned. The Ham and Cheese one I'd eat for breakfast if they let me.

We also ordered a bottle of red wine €7.50 and it was actually very very good for being inexpensive on the menu.

Finally we ordered Shrimp Risotto €10 and Carbonara €8 and they were both great. Seasoned well, tasty, and plenty of food for a meal.

I'm going to post pictures but just be warned none of these pictures do their food justice.

The staff was super helpful and very friendly. They seemed to know everyone in there. We will eat there again. For sure :)

Whole meal for 2 with two appetizers and a bottle of wine was €31.50

This is a place to come, no English , but we understand Italian so it was fine!
      No tourists here, only locals!
The place is not fancy at all, rather cheap tables and chairs. Get the house wine!
We had pizza, pasta coffee and tiramisu... guys awesome. Very good value for the money. Outside the city center, no fake food. Things are made to order!
      Enjoy!

Eggplant and sausage pizza and they let us eat before 8. Great house wine. Friendly, English speaking waiters made it enjoyable.
