If you visit El Chalten and decide to skip out on La Wafleria, you're making a mistake. La Wafleria is conveniently located near the trailhead of several popular hiking trails in El Chalten and is a welcome sight at the end of a hike. They have something for everyone: savory and sweet waffles, breakfast and lunch/dinner waffles, fruity and chocolatey waffles... as well as a wide variety of hot drinks. They have both indoor as well as outdoor seating. And the service!! The staff here at La Wafleria could not be more accommodating! Seriously some of the nicest, happiest people we met in El Chalten.

Be aware they only take cash, but are more that willing to work with you. They also do not have WiFi, so get off your phone and enjoy your waffle!!!

"Chocolate Explosion" waffle that almost brought me to tears after 15+ miles of hiking! That's REAL melted chocolate!

A restaurant that serves a little something different than the rest of El Chalten! Instead of serving your standard burgers and sandwiches, they serve it on waffles. They also had plenty of sweet options as well. The portion sizes are huge so we only ordered 3 dishes for 5 people. The meat in the burger style ones were juicy and flavorful. Service was quick, however, there was no wifi. Staff were friendly as well.

I always like a good waffle. La Waflería has a wide variety of sweet and savory waffle options. I went a little early for lunch. The hamburger waffle sounds great but I was drawn to the waffle with banana and chocolate. The waffle are not large and a little thin. Food came to me so fast, they might be pre-made but either way they were still an ok waffle. No shortage of banana and chocolate toppings. Wry good and exactly what I expected.

Staff are very friendly and immediately asked me if I wanted a menu in English or Spanish. The only big negative is no Wifi. I'm finding this more often in El Chalten but still rare. People tend to linger if there is wifi, could be a reason not to share.

Super cute little shop with employees who speak English and Spanish. There's no WIFI here, but they do take visa. Food portions are huge and will def leave you full! And it the food came out fast. Tried one of the savory waffles with steak and it was delicious

We had a really nice dinner here. No lines. Plus the staff speaks great English and is very welcoming. They were happy to change up our orders upon request and paired local wine with our orders. Yes, you can eat waffles for dinner and they go nicely with wine! Don't think of this place as just a dessert spot. It's much more!

Chori Waffle: Argentianian sausage con chimichurri sauce! Who says you can't do waffles for dinner?
Added bacon to "Dos Ojitos". Paired with a glass of Torrontes!

This is the best place ever!!! We walked in and were so warmly and enthusiastically greeted by the servers. They treated us like friends the whole time. They had menus in English. The food was a super great price. The portions were very large. We LOVED the food!!! It was so yummy. I wish I was hungry enough to eat everything on the menu! I would go back any chance I get. Their motto is "before and after the mountain" and they definitely would be good enough to eat more than once in a day . And the atmosphere was so cute and cozy. Everyone should go here!!
