Las 15 Salsas Restaurant Oaxaqueño offers a delightful dining experience that captures the essence of Oaxacan cuisine. The cozy interior and inviting outdoor patio set the stage for an enjoyable meal. The attentive service ensures a pleasant evening.
The mescal Serrano pepper margaritas pack a punch with their strong flavor and spicy kick, while the sacrificio cocktail tantalizes the taste buds with its mezcal, smoked rosemary, and Jamaica infusion.
The appetizer of memelas bursts with flavor and the perfect texture, offering a warm, soft interior and lightly crispy edges. The tlayuda, adorned with beef, pork, chorizo, refried beans, and Oaxacan cheese on a crispy base, impresses with its generous portion size and delicious blend of ingredients.
Overall, Las 15 Salsas Restaurant Oaxaqueño delivers an authentic Oaxacan culinary experience that is sure to satisfy. Highly recommended for those seeking flavorful dishes and a welcoming ambiance.Helpful 0Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Mar 31, 20241 check-in
From a Oaxaqueña, the food is as close as Oaxaca Culinary is. The flavor was so good and very present. It was aesthetically pleasing and delicious too! It had the perfect spice, temperature, and portion! The tortillas are warm and just the perfect yellow corn.
We were sat outside during the light rain. The hot cafe de olla hit the spot. The food was so warm and steaming when we got it. The mole was delicious and thick, not too spicy but if you want extra spice, they bring some delicious red and green salsa. The rice was a perfect addition to the mole leftover! The place is small but big enough to enjoy brunch, and lunch and even sneak away to get a mezcalito.
I ordered the enchilada trio with chicken. The green and red enchiladas were not my favorite, however the mole was so good. I would definitely buy the mole enchiladas in a heartbeat. The tamales de mole were served on a banana leaf and it was soft enough to cut through but even to enjoy.
Service was good as it can be. I thought it was weird the server was taking our order on his phone but hey! Innovation at its finest.
Definitely a must visit.
Honestly this place won my heart. I will definitely be back and enjoy the rest of the menu.Helpful 2Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Craig B.Mesa, AZ562731705Mar 4, 20241 check-in
I love this place, the food is good and it is local: so it has it's own standing, not selling/buying a name (for those, that, read my other reviews/what would be the difference in how I is reviewing of THEM), for you can tell that they care: when they are there, helping you to have an exercise.
Yes, I say this place gets a 10 out of 5 starsHelpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - A. C.Mesa, AZ07115Apr 22, 2024
Clean, comfortable, welcoming. Traditional music, friendly service. Delicious Café de Olla. Kind and accommodating server despite our disorganized group. Delicious meals, flavorful but not too spicy for the gringos... the mole is superb. Look forward to returning.
A suggestion would be to clean restrooms at least hourly as one of the fixtures needed help in that regard. Surprising as the room was otherwise well kept.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 456488440Aug 3, 2023
Location; Found this place from a Foodie on TikTok, it is located on Hatcher road - small and itimate inside.
Food; Very authentic food first ordered the memelas, so tasty and yummy. My main course was the Chili Relleno with just cheese, and it was really tasty. Everything was homemade, and fresh. I did order a michelado, that was very tasty.
Service; everyone was super friendly, they literally crush the ice for all drinks and you can hear it.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - May 9, 2023
Found this place a few weeks ago on our way to the Arizona Humane Society.
The location is not the best and I wouldn't come alone at night. However, once you are inside the food and service make up for the location.
The staff is friendly and the food is authentically delicious. My husband and I love tacos We decided next time to try something new as this restaurant is known for its Oaxaca food. I am not a big chocolate fan so I am not sure if I'll like it. However, I do love tamales and spicy food!
What is Oaxaca cuisine???? Great question!!
Oaxaca cuisine is from southern Mexico in the city of Oaxaca. Oaxaca is well known for its ingredients of chocolate which is prepared in preparation for hot species. Oaxacan-style tamales will have variations of mole sauce (mole sauce - local papers and Mexican chocolate.
This is my year to step out of my comfort food zone and try new things!Helpful 13Thanks 0Love this 11Oh no 1 - 23250140Oct 3, 2023
Found this place via an article on AZ Central. Sounded interesting so stopped in for dinner on a Friday night. The place is easy to find with plenty of parking. The restaurant itself is good sized with a mix of indoor and outdoor seating. The ambiance is nothing special, but not off-putting. Neighborhood and family run vibe. The menu is fairly large. I was interested in trying the more regional items so I passed on the typical enchiladas, tacos, burritos, etc..
I went for guacamole & tlayuda Chips to start. Quite tasty with a good bit of spice. The chips are interesting - not the typical chips you would get in a Mexican restaurant. For an entree, I went for a tlayuda combinada. It is a large tlayuda chip covered with refried beans, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese and a mix of meats (pork, chorizo, and beef). It was quite good! Different than other Mexican dishes I have tried.
If I have any downgrades, it would be the service. It was quite slow. We were not in a hurry so it was not that big of a deal. That said, it might not be ideal for you.
Worth a look. N*joy!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lisette R.Phoenix, AZ62826Mar 25, 2023

Super legit oaxacan food in Phoenix. It has cute outdoor patio or indoor seating. I would eat here everyday.
We got the fiesta 3 mole plates which has red, black and estofado (stew) moles. This plate is good for two people. And also the tamal qaxaqueno was delicious. It is wrapped in banana leaf, with chicken inside and soft maza.
Side note, the place also sells oaxacan coffee to go, grasshopper snack in Chile lime and mole blocks to make at home.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 0
