Las Animas Grill is a Farm to table restaurant.....Our Restaurant Not Fast Food... We have brought great customer service, exciting fresh food, and craft beers to Trinidad. All of our sauces and food is made fresh daily and prepared to order. We are the only place in town serving real craft beers with a rotating selection. Saturdays and Sundays we serve brunch and bottomless Mimosas and have a Bloody Mary bar. So try something different and come down to Las Animas Grill! The only farm to table restaurant in town.

Food was mediocre. The leasing agent for the Air BnB was the real problem. The food isn't to die for but the attitudes of the people that claim to own and work for them are shit. Avoid!!! There's better places to spend money in Trinidad

Just had the most lovely lunch here driving through on a road trip. The food was was VERY reasonably priced, delicious, and we felt as though we were a part of the small town for those two hours. We were befriended by everybody in the restaurant and I look forward to making las animas a pit stop for now on.

Surprisingly good food! We hunted and hunted for an open restaurant in town and this was the only one. Wound up loving it so much that we came back for breakfast the next morning. Tacos are great and so is the green chili soup. Breakfast served all day!
Tip: For a quaint and cute place to stay, check Airbnb for one of the lodging options upstairs. Reasonably priced and has all you need!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Trevor G.Baywood-Los Osos, CA75Jul 6, 2019
Sick of fast food on the road? Eat here! I'm posting for fellow travelers whom normally don't use Yelp because it's used mostly by ding bats.
Traveling through. Cool hipster-ish vibe. Interesting and clever menu. Easy parking. Cool laid back crowd. Sort of like a mini-portandia scene here. Great service and great for kids. The town is kind of amazing.I'm glad we found this place and if we gone through here again will return.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sarah H.Athens, TX06Feb 16, 2021
Awesome place. Great staff, even greater food! Burger and hand cut fries are really truly delicious! A new favorite of mine.

I love this place in the evening, but if you do not eat meat or eggs skip this spot in the morning...no options for you. They DO have great coffee with several milk alternatives to choose from.
After 10:30 there are several vegetarian and vegan dishes that are amazing!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Becca C.Amarillo, TX1911513Apr 9, 2018
The good: burger & fries, service
The okay: salmon taco, buffalo wing taco, espresso, atmosphere
The ugly: the ketchup-y salsa, green chili soupHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Heather A.Amarillo, TX606Oct 28, 2018
I would have really liked to have tried this place. Unfortunately, the service, or the lack thereof, was so very disappointing, we never got the opportunity.
Just before 11 a.m. on a Sunday, we happened to be passing through town. Our normal local breakfast favorite was closed while the owners were on vacation. We decided to try something new. This place popped up and after reviewing the menu, decided to give it a whirl. The place was not packed, with only a few tables occupied and one couple at the bar. A gentleman greeted us and got us drinks once we picked a spot. Everything seemed normal, but that's when things went south.
We asked for menus and he dashed off to grab some but never returned with them....side-tracked with cleaning and another drink order. After about five minutes of waiting we retrieved our own from the front. After browsing the menu and making our decisions, another ten minutes pass....nothing. Of the three staff that were there and passed by us multiple times, no one ever asked if we were ready to order, if we needed fresh drinks, or if we had any questions. It's like we did not exist! We even witnessed another couple get tired of waiting, get up and walk out. The staff only realized they were gone when they finally came out to deliver the food they had ordered, after the waitress had already cleared their table.
Needless to say, we gave them an additional five minutes. I had really been looking forward to trying the breakfast nachos, but sadly, we had to get back on the road. We paid for our drinks at the front and left....next stop....whatever we can find.

Driving through Trinidad, I needed a place to stop and grab lunch and found myself at Las Animas Grill. I ordered the veggie wrap, and found myself waiting 43 minutes for (HALF!?) of a wrap that was sparsely filled with veggies and not filling whatsoever. The place was empty and I ordered before the lunch time rush. Prepare for poor customer service, very slow food prep and unsatisfying food.
