Best burgers ever! And holy moly the kids pb&j was so good. Owner is a very cool guy and the staff was super accommodating to our overtired-from-the-road trip-toddler. Will def be back

What a great place right in Trinidad's historic downtown. Kamela was our waitress, and she was so friendly and welcoming. She even provided us (and the other diners) with eclipse glasses so we could enjoy the natural phenomenon of the day. The food was great. I ordered a barbecue chicken salad that was excellent. Tons of chicken, nicely seasoned. My husband got a cheeseburger that was ladled with delicious green chili. He ate every bite.
Our meal was great, and the memory of sharing the eclipse with such a warm and welcoming community will be a a memory for years to come.

Trinidad Colorado is one of the cutest towns! So many nice people that you run into on the street. And then you have this restaurant.
Upon walking in, there's a moderate amount of seating. They appear to have a bar barista station and beverages that you can purchase for the road.

Upon entering, the waitress asked us to pick our own table. She came by with menus and my husband ordered a cheeseburger with french fries. I had the cod sandwich with fries

Everything was really good. My husband had to add salt to his burger and I had to add salt to my cod sandwich but once we did, it really hit the spot. The french fries are fresh cut french fries. Those are my favorites! They have the cute bottles of ketchup that you can squirt all over your fries. So that was fun!

Prices are reasonable about 13 to $18 a plate. Our ticket came out to around $40.

The waitress was adequate. We ordered. She brought our food. Had to call her over for a refill and she accommodated. It was no frill service. No smiles or asking if we had questions. But that didn't bother us because the view was so nice.

Definitely make sure you come by. If only to take in the ambiance of this old mining towns. Diner.

Had a great pub style meal here. Fish and chips with an excellent, on tap Amber! My wife ordered the Christmas burger and she loved it. Dessert was a super moist carrot cake with heavy whipped cream and cream cheese frosting. Excellent service and food!

We travel south from Denver frequently and this is a favored stop. Delicious fresh food, clean restrooms, efficient friendly service . Recommend it highly.

Wow...things have really improved since the last visit. The overall ambiance and terrific pictures of Trinidad were an added bonus. The server was excellent and our breakfast was hearty and delicious and reasonable. We'll be back

Excellent fast service and a top notch burger!

This is now on my list of places I must stop by when traveling through. Good tasting coffee and a nice range of beers can let you experience Las Animas any time of day. There is a lot of variety on the menu including vegetarian options, or you can load up your yummy Mac & Cheese with some meat protein. The building has some great history to ask about and you can tell it is a favorite of the locals.

      Hello All,
I have been in the area for five years. I own a resort in Stonwall Colorado. The restaurants are, the great restaurants, are few and far between in Trinidad.
This restaurant is one of the best restaurants I have ever been to period! Breakfast, lunch, dinner, happy hour, a great place to meet friends etc.!
The wait staff and the bartenders are always fantastic. They all make you feel at home. Megan was my waitress this morning.
I recommend this place to my friends, family, & business associates.
Be kind, stay safe and healthy!
      Love, Larry
