BEST SOUP EVER! Asopado de Pollo/ Chicken and Rice Soup
Thanks so much to the chef for remembering and accommodating my preference of side (I order using Grubhub delivery service).
Most restaurants wouldn't bother or care. It's that touch that brings me back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 966192Apr 11, 20241 check-in
We stopped in for breakfast. The breakfast menu isn't big with a few sandwich selections and a breakfast plate. They also have baked goods and croquettes and another item like a croquette but made with plantains. The lunch hot bar looked and smelled amazing. Which I must come back for next time! I got the sausage egg and cheese sandwich. My husband got the ham, egg, and cheese. They were large sandwiches that are pressed and cut in half. We split both sandwiches and our consensus was the ham was better but the sausage was also good. The ham just had a little more flavor all over the sandwich. We ordered a plantain item for our little guy which was filled with meat and delicious! We also got their cafe con leche. It was strong and creamy! The inside is bright and clean and the staff were friendly and helpful! Can't wait to go back!

Nancy had a craving for some Mofongo Chuleta Kan Kan. I tried the La Tripleta Empanedado sandwich and a Beef Pastelilios. Nancy's said the Kan Kan was exactly how she likes it. Crunchy skin and juicy pork chop. The Tripleta sandwich was a pleasant surprise. Better than the Cuban sandwich I got the last time we visited Latin Creations. The Pastelilios had a crunchy pastry crust that wasn't greasy like many empanadas are. Could have used a little more filling, but for the price can't be beat.

A little slice of Puerto Rico in Jacksonville no less. It is hard to find authentic Puerto rican food. Mexican food outshines in Florida 10 to 1. We did a salsa through the door and was splendidly surprise with friendly service and delicious food. Don't sleep on Latin Creations near the corner of Beach blvd a St John"s Bluff south which 2 blocks in. The food made me want to Welpa down the street and tell everyone I meet. Latin Creations is here. I had the mouth watering rice and beans with pork. The wife had yellow rice and bistec. Dont ever forget the sweet plantains! Latin Creations provided the eats and we enjoyed every bite. Wife smaid the bistec was so salty but taste oh so good!

"All I can say is Salty Salty Salty!" I went there today, ordered 2 meals to go, the food was so salty that it wasn't fit to eat. Then the dessert! The pastry tasted like I got a mouth full of perfume, it was awful. I totally wasted our hard earned money, I won't be returning to this restaurant again.

We ordered cafeteria style. My pernil was amazing! I had gandules y yuca as my sides. Delish! Our tostones (5) were hot and fresh, and I drizzled the ajo over the yuca for a little kick. He had beef, gandules y maduros. All yummy. And then Medalla Light en botella?? Perfecto. My husband and I both enjoyed our meals, and being just down the road, we will be back!

This is my spot for fast and fresh Puerto Rican food. Ordering is easy and cafeteria style, unless you want to order from the menu, which includes a variety of mofongo and other dishes. I'm in and out when I come here and usually get the same things--rice and beans, pernil (roasted pork) or bistek (steak and onions). And the kids fave--beef empanadas. Everything is always full of flavor which is why we are repeat customers. They also serve breakfast Monday thru Friday (8-11am) and Saturday (9am-1pm).

Some items are served cafeteria style - rice and beans, bistek, pernil, empanadas, etc...and you can order other entrees as well like my favorite - mofongo.

Love their food, authentic PR cuisine! Love their attentive service.
The 4 stars are because of deliveries, orders can get mixed up.
Everything I've eaten is delicious!!! Keep going back for more.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kari G.San Diego, CA5229Feb 18, 2023
Found this spot thx to yelp. Food was good, if you're looking for fast PR food. Fast "back home" food to comfort your soul. The bistec encebollado was delicious as was the Morongo. The yucca wasn't what I expected. Soggy, bland and greasy. Will be back to try out other items on the menu

Awesome spot to check out some Puerto Rican cuisine. They have a plethora of different types of mofongos to try. I opted to try their mofongo con bistec y salsa. Mofongo is basically mashed fried green plantains that's served with chicharron (fried pork skin). It can be dry at times, but this dish was great because it was served with a beef stew that you can use to sauce up the mofongo. Definitely very filling for a snack or lunchtime meal.
They offer diner-style options plus some hearty soups, empanadas and potato balls for breakfast. Their potato balls are filling and seasoned very well. They're filled with a ground beef mixture. Very filling and satisfying. They have a lot of different empanadas: beef, chicken, shrimp, and lobster.
I've also visited during breakfast. They serve your prototypical breakfast plates like eggs, sausage, bacon, etc. They do have some pastries available as well if you wanted to go the sweet route for breakfast.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0
