Lavender Care Air Duct & Carpet Cleaning

Very friendly and knowledgeable, they explained everything and answered all my questions, the air in my house smells clean and sanitized, very considerate to my concerns. I loved how they used the square.com payment service, very efficient and safe to use my debit card.

I requested a dryer vent cleaning on Super Warranty after my dryer told me the vents were 90% clogged. They called Lavender Care for me and they came out the following week. Immediately, the guy asked me how long I've lived in my condo and if I owned or rented it. I'm a young single female and some red flags were going off in my gut as I could tell he was information fishing.

He looked at the vent outside and said that it's 100% clogged and since Super booked a "Basic Clean" he was going to have to add a charge of $150 for a "Deep Clean." He said that it's because it hasn't been cleaned in so long (I have lived here for only 3 months!!) and because it hasn't had a maintenance cleaning every 2-3 years then he needs to do a deep clean.

Sirens were going off in my mind. This guy is trying to get money out of me!! Clearly, a small, young, single female isn't going to know the difference, right!? So I told him I was going to call my warranty company for their counsel and he didn't look happy. I wasn't buying his BS. After about 10 minutes on the phone with my warranty service, he gave in to doing the "Deep Clean" at the "Basic Clean" rate.

This guy was NOT prepared to do his job right. He asked me for trash bags for the lint and did a terrible cleanup job! No vacuuming and didn't put things back. He even had the audacity to tell me to go outside and take a look and blew out the vent from the inside with NO WARNING and got lint ALL OVER ME without a mask, so I was INHALING lint. What a JERK.

Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT BOOK with these guys. Other outstanding servicing companies do this with much more integrity, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY.

GROUP ON please read this. You are putting your customers out by not checking out these companies and 1) allowing your customers to be scammed 2) wasting their time 3) having to waste your customer service agents time by taking our calls 4) refunding us our money (AND YES I SAID MONEY!) DONT EVEN TRY TO ACCEPT THE REFUND IN YOUR GROUPON B O X TO USE AT A LATER TIME! and 5) cost you (Groupon) by giving us a free $10 coupon for our inconvenience... and OH YES... the time to report this here on Yelp for all others to see.

BE CAREFUL... with this company you CANNOT cross your T's and Dot you i's!

I called Lavender BEFORE ordering the duct cleaning service to see if they offered the Brush cleaning of the ducts and NOT the vacuum clean (already had that done two times that didn't work and Groupon gave me my money back).

They assured me that is the service they provided and was the only way to truly clean ducts by knocking off anything clinging to them that mere vacuuming would not collect.

GREAT! I purchased the 179.00 service from Groupon for $70. Much higher (as a matter of fact the highest) price than the other Duct Cleaning coupons of 30-39.00 but worth it! I THOUGHT.

Cancelled with me on Monday saying their equipment was down and having to get it repaired.

No problem I agreed to Thursday between 10-12.

They called early and I wasn't ready due to it being at my offices but agreed to 9:30.

Immediately he tells me he needs to do a REVERSE AIR cleaning and NOT the brush system (maybe they didn't get the equipment repaired?) and it would be an up charge of 199.00.

Wait the less expensive Vacuum system without the brushes that knocks off the particles and trash clinging to the vent system is MORE Expensive.

I said NO WAY and he said he couldn't do the brush system because if it damaged the duct work they would be responsible and again tried to reassure me the REVERSE
whatever-he-called-it would do the job.

I AGAIN told him it wouldn't because I had it done already two times and was the reason I contacted them about the BRUSH system.

So I told him to leave and I would get a refund.

He says "One moment let me call my offices and see if they have a softer brush we can use that wont damage the vents. I will let you know in a few minutes."

He goes out to the truck and it sits there for 15-20 minutes and then drives off. No bye KMA or nothing!

Then on the phone with Groupon and they said they would SEE if they could give me a refund!!!!

SEE!!!!

"Wait a minute Hazel what do you mean SEE?"

Well sir if you didn't give them the opportunity to perform the service.....

What! Perform the service!! You are right Hazel I did not give them the OPPORTUNITY to UPCHARGE me to 199 for a vacuum service when their BEST brush service is clearly advertised at 179!

I got my refund and anyone reading this. If you are the first to contact me I will GIVE you my free $10 credit in my Groupon B O X. I will not be using it or them again... anyone for pizza!

SCAM!!!! these people came today todo my air ducts and left a complete mess. They over charged the number of vents in my house and top of that didn't clean crap.

They called to let me know they were on the way and arrived on time. The price was fair and there were no hidden fees, the quote I got on the phone is the price I paid. They did a great job cleaning and sanitizing the vents in my home. Our allergies are gone.

My dryer stopped working, so I called George's Services (see my review). They sent someone out that day, he replaced a fuse and my dryer was working again. I was charged $35 for the fuse and $90 for the labor. It was probably something I could have fixed myself, but it would have taken me all day and I would have had to find the fuse at a parts store. The next day after a few loads of laundry, the dryer stopped again. George's sent the guy back out and he replaced the fuse again. He said the problem was my vent (leading from the dryer to outside) and I needed to have it cleaned or the fuse would continue to blow. I called a few places and found Lavender Care to be the least expensive. They charge $84.99 for a dryer vent cleaning.

The woman on the phone was nice and they showed up at 9am as scheduled. He immediately told me that my dryer coil was too long and he shortened it for me. After trying to clean it out, he said it was too clogged (due to the turns in the path, it was not a straight path to outside) and he needed to use another process "base de-clog" that would cost more money. I hate surprises. Especially an additional $159.00 surprise. But what other choice did I have? I probably could have called around and priced it out, but I just wanted it done and he assured me that was standard industry pricing. They were here for an hour, in and out of the house, up and down a ladder and he offered to wipe my floors clean before they left. He also took me outside and showed me what the dryer vent looks like (open when dryer is on), he said the vent had been painted over and was stuck closed, which was part of the issue.

Overall, I think they provided good, friendly and timely service. He also seemed knowledgeable about the process. I have no idea if they were priced competitively, but everything seems to be in working condition now.

My dryer stopped heating and I was told I needed my dryer vent cleaned. I called Lavender Care. They came out within hours of my call. They cleaned my dryer vent and went on their way. I called back out my home warranty technician, he advised my dryer was fine but advised me not to used my dryer until the vent was cleaned from the top to protect me from a potential fire. He showed me that the dryer vent was not cleaned from the inside to the outside and advised me not to use the dryer until the vent had been cleared from beginning to end. I called Lavender Care multiple times for them to come back, since they started the process, I left message after message and did not hear from them. I had to get another company to come out and finish the job.Their followup service leaves a lot to be desired. In the end their poor follow up service cost me money that was not necessary. They started the job and left me hanging with dirty clothes piling up. They never took the time to find out why I was trying to contact them. I deserved better. I paid them more than 200.00 for an incomplete job and they disappeared. DO NOT USE THEM. They are not honest people.

WOW! These guys charged my college student daughter (living on student loans and a part time babysitting job) $160 to clean a section of carpet 5'x4' just inside the front door of her rental!!!! How can they justify this?

Awful. Told they would sanitize my vents and clean all around the outside. They did not. Then offered to sanitize my vents for an additional $250, but today it is a special of $199. I thought that was originally why I called them to come out? Missed two vents in the house, then lied. The last vent they spray painted around the outside without permission and in doing so spray painted our wood cabinets. I do not recommend for service. Also left debris and dust from each vent cleaned. Customer service is not their priority. I think they want to do 20% of the job bid and get paid for 150%.

Since I couldn't find any reviews on this company I was a little aprehensive about using them. I called and spoke to a very nice lady, and her cueritosity led me to use them. I received a quote over the phone and I made sure to disclose that I had stairs, because most companies do charge extra for stairs. They quoted me a price including stairs. When the guys came out to do the carpet they tried to charge me $3 per step. They did call their office and straightened everything out and made good on their original price. Overall, after the initial mix-up, they did a very good job on my carpets at a reasonable price. I would use them again.
