Restaurant Le Plaza-La Paillotte - We've been to many good restaurants, but every now and then we find one that exceeds our expectations. Le Plaza is one of those places. They have an excellent selection of good quality regional dishes from locally produced ingredients at reasonable prices.

This is the place to go if you like to pay one price for a set predetermined multi course meal and sit among British tourists quaffing beer. My wife and I didn't desire the multi course meal and were left with very limited options. We had an appetizer with a bottle of red wine. When the server poured the red wine I tasted it and then had a look of shock on my face. Temperature of the red wine was very warm, like 30 degrees Celsius (90 degrees F). I'm not a wine snob but I'd never been served red wine the temperature of warm soup. I asked the server regarding the wine temperature and he shrugged his shoulders and mentioned the hot summer weather. OK, it's clear this restaurant doesn't invest in cool spaces to preserve wines. I must admit that many British tourists love this place. Find me a few steps away at a true locals restaurant, Au Brin de Thym.

This is a long overdue review! We stayed nearby on our honeymoon and actually ended up coming here three different times! The service was friendly and relaxed. The multi course options were great, and though I normally wouldn't have gone for dessert theirs were incredible (there was a chocolate cake and raspberry gelato option - just say yes)!! The foie gras with honey and apples was one of the best things I've ever had. Highly recommend, great option in the neighborhood.

Food was superb, service great and although there were other tourists around, ambiance was great.
