This place has been here a long time, so I tried them out. They were booked up and it took about a week to get my car in.
They were nice and friendly. They had my car for about 4 hours or more!

This is my (baby) 2009 Tacoma PreRunner! She just celebrated 100k miles and was starting to look a little road worn. I heard that Lloyd's Auto Specialties is the best in all of San Diego county for total detail work, so I went and talked to Ralph & Ed. They are the absolute bar none best!! Upholstery, even the headliner, under the hood, exterior, bed of the truck, it's all perfect!

I purchased a new car and less than two weeks later I noticed that there was a scratch on the rear passenger door. It was all I could see when I looked at my car and it really annoyed me, so I messaged around to see what damage to my wallet would follow.
A couple of other shops simply told me they couldn't give me a quote without seeing the damage and to just bring it in, which kind of defeats the Get-A-Quote button on Yelp. Lloyd's told me the same thing, but Lloyd himself messaged me and explained to me why they had to see the scratch before they could give me a reliable quote and that they would be more than happy to take a look any time. It was a pleasant message, so I decided to bring my car in to them first.
I met up with the manager, Ralph, the following day, He quoted an incredibly fair price right on the spot after giving my door a quick look, saying that they could buff out the scratch, no problem. They didn't have any time that day, but I was able to make an appointment for the following week when I had a free morning.
I dropped my car off the morning of my appointment with Ralph and about 90 minutes later I was staring at a perfect, scratch-free rear passenger door! It looked just like new, and I was very impressed. I am going to be honest - I was in the market for a new car as my 2007 G35 felt like it was nearing the end of the line. The paint didn't seem very exciting anymore and the interior was aging.
All that ended when I picked the car up after a full detail from Lloyd's. This place is terrific - I feel like I am driving a brand new car. They were able to remedy a few tough paint discolorations (that had been there for years), get the dings out, and make that interior completely immaculate. What a blessing to find this place. Not only did I save $$$$, they did a fantastic job.
I had read the reviews...which I very rarely do, and they were right. This place is good. I was quoted so much more by another body shop. A friend suggested that I get a second opinion. These guys are top notch! Decided to sell my 2010 Subaru and before listing it I brought it in for a little TLC. Spoke with Ralph over the phone he gave me a quote and brought the vehicle in the next morning. When I arrived they were quick to come greet me. Ralph did a quick look in and out before taking the vehicle. When I picked up the car it looked better than when I bought it. The inside and out looked flawless.
Best of all there was no hidden fees! The price I was quoted over the phone was the same price I paid. There was no up-sell offers once I arrived and no hidden fees when I left. I am still in shock over how beautiful my husbands car is. I would have never believed it was possible for this 4 year old car to look like it just rolled off the showroom floor. I was further surprised by the very fair price. I got quotes around town for much more. Ralph was so kind and helpful. I can't wait to see what he can do with our other cars.

The car went in for the shop's COMPLETE DETAIL treatment (advertised as the BEST VALUE). Parked next to a car which was just finished its detail and checked it out. Was very pleased with that car, so I handed off my car key and let the crew get to work. Shop called moments later and notified me that the car is "completely detailed" and ready. Strolled back to the shop and did a walk-through. Oh no, this ain't right!!! The shop's definition of its "complete detail" is different than what I had thought of. The so called, best value, treatment was incomplete. Lloyd had to fix all the missed details caused by his crew:
Missed road grime not touched by the clay bar.
Missed water mark.
Patches of dried paint sealant not wiped.
Brake dust still visible on wheels.
