First impressions: open two months, much-improved from prior establishment IMHO. My meal was pretty good, fast attentive service, decent neighborhood prices, well-lit attractive interior, smallish space is not noisy, friendly owner. Bonus points for excellent chips, frosty beer mugs. I'd go again.

Met a friend here after seeing the establishment on social media. The videos online portrayed a lot of energy that we did not experience during our visit. Came on Taco Tuesday, hoping for some specials but there was only happy hour. Their happy hour is only drinks, no food. This was a bummer. When we went in, we were only people in the establishment. Somehow, the service was still slow. The food was pretty good and the margaritas were too.

My friend and I came in for dinner tonight and it was great! We both got the Mariposa drink (rum, orange juice, pinapple juice, and strawberry) and chimichangas (steak for her and veggie for me). We loved our drinks and entrees. Service was great and the owner is very friendly and engaging. He check on us multiple times and gave us a few freebies to try, including tequila he infuses in the restaurant. It's great to have a Mexican spot on the Hill again - I'll definitely be back!

Such a great new addition to Capitol Hill! A lovely atmosphere with top notch margaritas and delicious food. Chile rellenos were DELICIOUS. The owner was so nice and ended our meal with the best tequila shot we've ever had. Will definitely be back!

-The worst tacos I've ever had.
-The tres leches, was waaaaaay to sweet, how can a baker mess that up.
The server didn't bother to ask why I only ate half a taco, of tacos, and left a cake barely touched. He knew the food taste horrible.
Needless to say, I'll never die at this spot anymore .Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Calvin D.Washington, DC14957Jan 18, 2024
Horrible service. Just tried to eat here and was completely ignored by the waiter Oscar. He tells me to sit in the corner and completely ignores me. An older white couple comes in after me. He gets them menus, chips, and waters. He still hasn't come to my table once. I wouldn't recommend if you want good service.
