Love Hawaiian BBQ

I saw a review that said this place makes you forget you're in the heart of Bethany homes, and that person is right.

I went here maybe a week ago with my aunt for a lunch break. The inside is cute and clean, and it wasn't too busy or packed. There was also parking right in front. I ended up ordering the beef patty loco moco and my aunt got the teriyaki something. I did not like my loco moco at all... everything was cooked well! I just don't have the tastebuds for a loco moco. The owner listened to me tell him why I didn't like it, saw how disappointed I was, and surprised me with a container of teriyaki chicken and white rice. I'm more of a sweeter teriyaki person (there's is more savory) but the meat was cooked SOOO well and as you can see, I really enjoyed it. My aunt liked her food as well. All in all I'd be back.

The star of the show is really the owner, his sense of humor is great. But Alex... please do something about that restroom! You know better.

I went here with my fiancé and our daughter. The lady who works here was giving my fiancé a weird vibe and looks. Mind you. We are a lesbian couple and we have a daughter. She kept looking at us and mainly at my fiancé. Had an attitude as well when taking our order from my fiancé. Mind you my fiancé dresses in man clothes with long hair. I love the food but this lady just really ain't it for me.

My family was craving some Hawaiian food and we decided to stop by Love Hawaiian BBQ on a Saturday evening. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza with spacious amount of parking spots available.

We had entered the restaurant and were the only patrons inside. The restaurant was freezing!! Even with our jackets on, it was still really cold inside! The menu had a lot of options on it such as the following

After reviewing the menu, my family and I selected

Loco Moco
Chicken Katsu and Kalua pork with Rice/Mac Salad
Chicken Teriyaki with Rice
Kids Meal: BBQ Beef

The price was relatively inexpensive, approximately $45.00 for the entire order, but the portions were small. It took around 20 minutes for the entire meal to be cooked.

The Loco Moco was decent. The hamburger patty was burnt and small though. The scrambled eggs and gravy was delicious. The Chicken Katsu and Kalua Pork was okay. There was a lot of breading on the Chicken Katsu. Overall, we had a good experience at Love Hawaiian BBQ.

Love Hawaiian BBQ was an actual treat. The open kitchen makes me feel safe that the food being made is made with absolute care and prepared fresh. The dining room is a nice cute comfortable place to dine with a clean setting. Makes you actually forget you're in the heart of Bethany home road.

Not too many bad things to say. 4/5 stars

My first meal after landed in AZ. I got their lunch special. BBQ chicken on rice and steam veggies with an spring roll. I was good eats but I had better from another place near by.

First trip to this restaurant. Pat and I ordered a Hawaiian Plate with Chicken Katsu and Kalbi Beef together with macaroni salad and cabbage. In addition we had coconut curry rice with tempura chicken and a side order of spam musubi. We have eaten at Leo's, Land L, Ono's, and several others. Spam musubi was over flavored and nori was tough. Macaroni salad was good. Kalbi was lean and tasty, curry was tasty. Pick up service was good and prompt.

I love the food here. Best Hawaiian bbq in Glendale. I've ordered take out twice and it has been quick and efficient each time.

I really enjoyed all their meats I have selected.
Hawaiian chicken, shredded pork, and katsu chicken. I thought the Hawaiian chicken looked dry but it was tender and delicious! Their katsu chicken was crispy (on point!) and their macaroni salad was good (had nothing to complain about)
My toddler had kid teriyaki chicken and finished all his meat! (Toddler approved =)

My husband loved the lemon chicken the most. I also had their Manipur and my son and I loved it. Similar as the Chinese dim sum bbq pork bun.

I personally loved the fact it was family owned and operated and had a hole in the wall feeling. The only thing I was a little sad about was not having enough katsu sauce and rice. But either or great food, will be back again when I'm in the area.

The food is amazing. The staff is super lovely. Pricing is decent as well. I have never had a bad experience, and have been coming here for years!

We had decided to stop here because we had a coupon and have never tried it but absolutely love Hawaiian food, upon arrival the establishment was really clean and well kept which is always a good sign. We were greeted by a gentleman who was very kind and helpful that answered all the questions we had . The order was placed and probably ready within 5 minutes so just absolutely great service . Now onto the most important thing the food , we decided to order the teriyaki chicken 2 meat plate and chicken Katsu 2 meat plate which I have to say were absolutely great everyone loves the food and it was a really good size portion. We also ordered the bbq pork manapua as well since a lot of places do not have these and they were absolutely amazing . I will definitely be stopping here again in the future
