I came here before it was nails en color. I loved them then and I may love them more now. I think with the change it was a little rocky; but that's expected with any transitioning business. I come here for my gel nails and pedicure and I love it: mimi is great and super friendly. Just like everyone else! I think it's a place you will have to experience for yourself !

This is under "new management" like that's supposed to be a good thing? I went to the old management and I'd say they were average. Nothing to write in about but got the job done... the new management mine as well close up shop.
I came in to get Gel polish removed. I rarely get gel because unless you have it professionally removed I always damage the top layer of my nails. And when I DO get it professionally removed salons rarely want to let you just soak like when gel first came out because it takes too much time. They only want to file most of it off which also ruins my nails.
So strike 1 they wouldn't let me just soak while I got a pedi. Instead they put some additional gel on, that was a "new better method" for removal, which burned my skin, and she scraped the gel off which damaged the top layer on my nails (what I wanted to avoid).
Strike 2 - they kept making comments about me just wanting regular nail polish and not more gel. They make you pick from a book and wont let you pick out the bottle. I've found I really only like OPI... no OPI your option is JUST the book and they arent pretty colors, maybe less than 40?
Strike 3 - the "new manager" gave all the women a tough time for using "too many towels" in front of the customers... like what?!
Strike 4 - we get to the manicure. At this point I'm bummed about my healthy thick nail's being destroyed but trying to just stay positive and just get them cleaned and shaped up a little... eventually they'll grow out and I'll just count this as a loss today.... WELL the woman ends up cutting me, and I'm BLEEDING. She doesn't apologize or ask if I'm ok she just laughs and tries to almost brush it off. Like she painted my nails the wrong color and its a minor fixable mistake?? She doesn't wait for it to clot. And its not clotting. So there I bleed.
Strike 5 - payment time. She asks me to pay before painting... totally fine. Charges me $69 for a REGULAR mani pedi!! Is this a joke?! Not only is this insanely high, my thumb is STILL bleeding!! There was no section to put a tip. Would I have given a full 20% after all this probably not but every one has a bad day so maybe id have floated a little something her way...
STRIKE 6 - she then acts as if I'm stupid for switching from gel to regular and that they charge $12 to take that off. THEN she has the nerve to say and "I didn't even charge you for french thats $5 extra..." I'm now realizing shes mad there was no tip (not sure when I was supposed to do it there was no prompt for it) THEN she kept hovering over me I guess waiting for a cash tip??
Lady... you made me bleed and let me bleed all over your station with no remorse or offer to help. You're lucky I paid the bill at all!

No one likes it when they have bad customer service encounters, and I hope I'm able to save you from having one yourself.
I've waited to write this review and even went back to see if Sue was willing to fix the issues. What happened next shocked me. I can't remember being treated so poorly while apologizing.
Visit 1: A friend and I were walk-in's for mani-pedis, and it started out well and good, but then it started to go south when my friend asked to have the foil replaced on her nails that fell off re-covered to remove the dip. They ignored her. We waited patiently and finished the pedicures. Now it was time to move onto the manicures.... apparently there's only one person who does dip so we had to wait. As she was doing my nails I told her I'm trying to strengthen my nails and not to file on top of my nails too much as they're very thin and sensitive. It seemed she listened, but the final shape of the dip was awful. I've been doing dips since they hit the market and have done a bunch during lock-down so I know it's not that difficult. But I didn't want to make a big fuss and just finished up so my friend could get hers done. Not 3 days later, they started to chip.
VISIT 2: I walked in and asked the same woman to fix the dip since it was chipping and falling off. She rolled her eyes and said "FINE! I fix, but no dip!" I apologized and asked why I couldn't do dip? "YOU TOO DIFFICULT!" wow. Okay. I hadn't raised my voice, was polite and just asked to fix the dip - At this point I was fine to pay for it, but wanted it fixed. What i encountered was a nightmare. She continued to be rude and was forceful in trying to get the dip off my nails - so much so she was filing my nails to the point where it hurt. I pulled back and she grabbed my hand. Now my nails are ruined- she filed them so forcibly, I have to wait for them to grow out.
The exchange was nothing I've ever encountered and was shocked.
I finally convinced her to let my nails soak like you're supposed to. I did my best to get the nail color off and get out of there. I offered to pay for her troubles of removing my nail dip and she rolled her eyes and was shouting.
Bottom line there's a reason why this place is always empty. At least one nail technician is rude, they don't have a lot of colors to chose from and they don't do nearly as good of a job as Luna nails or the dozen or so salons in the area.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Jennifer W.Rockville, MD021Sep 24, 2022
Great service & quite speedy! The prices are extremely reasonable and they are getting ready to replace the massage chairs!!

I received what might have been the most horrible gel mani and pedi in a long while. The manager is the one who did my mani pedi and it turned out absolutely horrendous. For my gel mani she didn't even buff my nails (hello gel application rule 101!!!!!) before applying the gel which is causing my nails to peel after less than a WEEK! I knew I should've never switched nail places. I'm pretty sure my toe is infected because it's been hurting since I've gotten it done last week. The pedicure is another story, nails cut terribly and paint applied sloppy. I paid $80 with their dumb re opening discount and this shitty job isn't going to last me past the next few days. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE!!!!!

Worst pedicure I ever received. I'll never go here again! The lady rushed so fast didn't say anything then tried to be all nice and caring at the end and ask about my pregnancy at the end for a tip. Nope. I'm so unsatisfied... she is the worst. I think she is the manager, lead or something.. just sad.

I've tried Ana and she's good but I've tried a gentleman there snd my gel nails chipped the next day horrible job and I'm super disappointed.

Don't waste your money and time they are doing very bad job and they start one person and leave them on the chair ...they do same time mutiple persons I paid $100 bucks not even scrub my callus me and pedi same time she doing me and an other person not even she washed her hands very bad job don't go

If there was a cero star I would give them cero.
This establishment is really bad they don't have respect for their customers the manager is very unprofessional.
I made an appointment with Danny on Friday and I told them I was coming at 12 noon.
When I arrived he had already taken another customer,
That customer was getting a pedicure so he sent her to get her pedicure first with someone else to take me and my friend.
The entire time he was rushing trying to multi task to get it done quick.
He didn't shape our nails or file our nails.
He did two coats of polish and didn't let it finish on the UV light completely.
I had a concert to attend so complaining on the spot wasn't gonna help so we left.
I had to attend my concert with ugly nails.
I tried shaping my nails at home and they chipped .
I sent an email and expressed my concern but I got no response.
I called the establishment next day and told them I needed a refund.
They get greedy trying to take multiple customers and rushing it.
I have never had an experience like this at any nail salon, I have never complained because I hate complaining even if I get a bad experience but this time was very awful to think that I loss my $55.
at this point is not about the money it was that I went to one of a life time experience concert and I had to hide my hands from pictures.
The manager answered very angry and told me that they don't give refunds, they only fix the nails,
I told her that I am not looking to get my nails touched by them again and she told me that this is America and is noting is for free.
I was nice about it and she insulted me over the phone.

Jennifer is absoutly amazing. Had my nails and eyebrows done and couldn't be happier with my results. Highly recommend her!!
