I frequently go to this beautiful store that sells hand made cotton quilts, blankets, scarves, baskets, painted plates from West Bank, Mexico, and other countries. They have jewelry and headbands, kids gifts and clothes.The owners are very friendly and purchasing from their special imports helps the collectives and fair trade.
They are in a shopping strip mall next to Rosenfeld's in South Bethany.

A must go browse and they have new gifts that change regularly. It's never disappointing and prepare to spend!

This store offers so many items of interest from international craftspeople. Discover clothing, jewelry, products for your kitchen, home, children and so much more! Support these artisans who rely on selling their items to earn money to feed their families and educate their children. My clothing from there has lasted over 25 years because the vibrant colors made from cotton endure every washing without fading. Treat yourself and buy for those you love!

A wonderful store that brings us global craft and skill while providing sustainable wages to the crafters. This is a store worth shopping for gifts, home decor, women's clothing, jewelry, instruments or other household odds and ends.
It is worth the browse nonetheless.

Beautiful shop tucked into an unassuming location in a strip mall between restaurants. Lovely and eclectic selection of home goods, clothes, jewelry, gifts - I wish I'd had more time to look around and get a good shop on. Going to bring the teens back here, they'll love it. A nice diversion from the constant drumbeat of surf shops and beachy kitsch in this seaside community - glad it is here!

I was in Made by Hand recently (August) but have visited a number of times over the years (we vacation in South Bethany every summer). The store is lovely, though what makes it special are the owners Kim and Marco. They have traveled all over the world and have relationships with many of the artisans whose art/crafts/products they sell in the store. They are also happy to share the people and stories behind each product / each of your purchases. Kim and Marco are really trying to make a difference in both their local and global community and that combined with the beauty and quality of the store (and everything in it) makes it one of my favorite places to go. I appreciate knowing that our purchases are going to the artisans and supporting their livelihood. Highly recommend!

I walked in to the tune of drums , flutes, and other instruments being played by young beachgoers trying out the different instruments offered here.

This store is a great respite from the overpriced "beachy" stores and outlets up and down the Delamarva coast. Very similar to the Ten Thousand Villages stores which are found in many metropolitan areas, this store has numerous fair trade products available. Jewelry, ornaments, instruments, just to name a few things! Reasonable prices and you will feel good about your purchase. Definitely fun and cool place at the beach!

I have been coming to South Bethany for as long as I can remember, and since this store has been open I have stopped in each time I come down. There's always something new to see and the prices could not be beat. The jewelry is fantastic and beautiful. There are plenty of lovely decorations for the home and an eclectic array of instruments. This place is different from any other store at the beach and is worth the stop. Staff is always friendly!
If you don't need a bag for your purchased items they'll give you a small chocolate!

Made by Hand is in a little strip mall on the Coastal Highway. It's easy to miss, tucked in between a gourmet market and a bait and tackle shop.

The store is crammed with fair trade items from all over the world. There is a great selection of jewelry, novelty items and clothing. When I was there the store also had a good variety of Christmas ornaments from Russia, South America and Asia in addition to the usual craft items.

Great store with wonderful handmade items that are unique and reasonably-priced. We go in several times a year when we are in town. Owner is friendly and very helpful - stop by!
