Magic Nails

I was looking up nail salons in the area because I wanted to glam up a bit before my birthday next week. I decided on Magic Nails because it was near where I was, and I called ahead to make an appt at 3:30. They said they could do 3 instead, and I agreed. Then, I called again to push it back until 4 due to a prior engagement and they were accommodating. I came in right at 4, and I believe Peter mistakenly thought I was another client who had an appt at 4 so I said no and waited until about 4:30. I got a gel manicure and was overall satisfied with the service and quality. My nail tech could have removed more of my cuticles and rushed me a bit into choosing my colors as I showed her a reference pic of what I wanted and wanted her input.

Flash forward to 2 days after, and I noticed a small hair that's beneath the polish. Also, my middle finger chipped already. The tiny hair is driving me crazy.

Overall, I would say this place does a good job with matching what you want and does a decent nail job, but I probably won't come back here again.

Peter took his time and did an amazing job on my nails. They came out better than I expected. Kelly also did a great job with my pedicure and took her time to do a thorough job! I highly recommend Magic nails and will recommend family and friends to go here. Thank you so much!

Great gel pedicure with Ben today. Spa pedicure was great and extremely relaxing. Great leg massage, scented scrub and wax foot soak. Looking forward to my next pedicure.

I give three stars because they were very accommodating to my daughter and I coming in without an appointment and they were very nice to us. However, the quality of work was not that great...probably because it appeared they were trying to cram as many people in there as possible without enough people working, so everything was a big hurry.

The quality of my manicure is just okay. My cuticles are okay, however a couple got nicked. The polish job is sub par...I believe a couple nails look bad because he deliberately painted over the cuticles that were nicked. My young daughter got her nails painted and sat under the dryer for like 15 minutes. Not even an hour after we left her nails are peeling.

I have gone here for years. Always tipped very well. Went in this week. They wanted a man to give me mani / pedi. I asked politely for a female. They gave me a dirty look and acted put out. I will never go back

this place does nails the best! the only salon i can go to not worrying if they will do a good job

I loved magic nails but no more because they will take strangers who come in and they lied to me and daid that they were too busy but my sister called and they could take her!!!!!

Peter gave me the perfect natural manicure and was very efficient. I will definitely be returning to him!

Upfront: this started as a one star review based on the management or lack there of but the nail tech slowly raised the review by enforcing social distancing, having an extra place sit and quality of work. The work they did on my wife's nails were excellent. They then took their time and did a nice job on her toenails. Finally they took time to do her eyebrows.

The prices and quality were in point!

My recommendation to the business would be this: Really manage your appointment list and ensure you know before hand what services the customers are receiving. Had these issues been resolved or told the times upfront we would have been better prepared. This would have been a 4 or 5 star review based on the quality of service.


We were happy the location took the appointment as another location in town canceled and rescheduled to the with out contacting us. We have an event locally and from out of town.

But this is how this review started off.....

Well...the only thing magical I've been able to see about this place is it's poor management and inability to document appointments. This is further exacerbated by the fact that the location ignores mask and social distancing requirements.

We have been sitting in the waiting area for a 10am appointment since 0955. We have been told 15 more minutes every 15 minutes. The appointment was started at 1045. Okay so you would think this is a one off situation... but there were two of us waiting for the same time slot...so you'd think okay they are running a little behind. Then a part of three who had a reservation for 1030 walks in and they are told they won't get to them until 1130. We'll that's 5 customers...in a matter of an hour that didn't get done what they needed or were promised.
