Mark Malave - American International Realty

Mark is fantastic. Selling / buying a home is extremely stressful. That being said, Mark helped me sell my home and buy a new one simultaneously. He is responsive, reassuring, and pragmatic. This was my second time working with him, and it won't be the last.

Mark was a fantastic agent to work with to purchase our first home. He was friendly, professional, and went above and beyond to guide us through each step of the complicated home-buying process. He was always extremely prompt in communications, very knowledgeable, and made sure all of our questions were answered. I would highly recommend working with Mark!

I am writing this review for Mark Malave, an outstanding Real Estate Agent based in and around Edgewater/Rogers Park Andersonville. I had the great privilege of meeting Mark in October of 2011. I am a single female, disabled Iraq Veteran, and an artist based in Chicago. I was determined to use a V.A. home loan to purchase my first home. Like many people, I did not have family close and I relied mostly on cursorily researching for real estate agents, the best I knew how.

After searching on Trulia, I came across Mark's name associated with many homes for sale. Mark had several exemplary reviews, so I reached out to him. A little bit about Mark from beginning to end...... firstly, I have never, in my post-military career, met a more professional civilian, a more hard working and genuine individual, than many of my most respected colleagues, friends and family. Mark worked with me, asked excellent questions, fielded all of my questions PROMPTLY, and he went on more home showings than I care to admit on this venue. With each and every showing, Mark was on time, completely prepared, and also coordinated with the seller's representation, every time.... Again more times than I thought even my picky self would go through.

Using a V.A. Home loan is tricky, I had come to find out, with several variables. I had some bids that fell through, due to the lengthy V.A. processes, no fault to Mark or his team of Mortgage Associates or Represented Counsel.

Again, I did not have any family to help me through this, so I relied heavily on Mark to allay fears, answer all of my questions and especially questions related to saving me money.... And Mark did save me money.... Sometimes by making sacrifices of his own.

I have been a guarded person, as a combat veteran, not trusting people, in general. I have a pretty well honed sense of people who are harmful, fake, self centered, or unprofessional. Mark once told me that he is primarily a real estate agent (yes as a profession, however he owns several properties) but really, because he wants to see good people placed in great homes, contributing to wonderful neighborhoods.

I absolutely one hundred percent believe him. I cannot emphasize enough the genuine nature of Mark Malave. I would recommend him to everyone I know, especially Military Service Men and Women. Anyone who has the luck/blessing of working with him would Roger up with the same sentiment.

Mark is the best realtor I have ever worked with. He's patient, knowledgeable, and really takes care of his clients. His positive attitude and helpfulness were really appreciated in my condo search. I know I was a picky and demanding client, but he didn't give up, and he stood by me till I signed all the paperwork at closing.
