Market Lane Cafe

Great little cafe in Manly Beach area. Had a quick breakfast special which was awesome. Also ordered a flat white.. highly recommend the coffee here. There's both inside and outside seat with great atmosphere. The service was quick with nice servers. Recommend

Shockingly bad customer service and very overpriced average food. Check their Google reviews before you go here - would strongly avoid. They really don't get customer service and rather than take feedback and try to improve, they continue to defend their extremely rude behavior. Worst cafe in Manly. Each bad review is followed up with a snarky reply showing no accountability and you will then see a few new reviews immediately after a bad one sighting how great the customer service is - a little suspect I would say?!? If they don't start to get it very soon, I would be happy to see them shut down for a more community oriented cafe in Manly.

The location of Market Lane Cafe and the outdoor seating, made me feel like I was in back in Italy, sitting at a cafe in a piazza. The sun was warm on my back, and there was plenty of people watching. The atmosphere was as pleasant as the food.

This is one of my favourite cafe in Manly. I love the atmosphere and the music, I'm going there with my computer really often to do some work.
They have some tables outside that are in the sun in the morning, really nice!

If and when your tummy is growling after a power walk along the shore, this place provides a fast and efficient setting for breakfast and lunch, and brunch for the times in between.

I had to catch my flight and only had half an hour to enjoy the bustling Market Lane where this place is situated.

I had the mixed breakfast plate and my friend had the salmon bruschetta. Both our meals came out in less than 15 minutes, which was mighty impressive, more so because I had such a small window to eat.

Everything served was lovely, fresh and flavoursome.

The fitout might be small, but it was funky. Cane chairs with blankets lined the frontage. Newspapers and magazines was available for your lazy Sunday perusal. Local artwork can be seen hanging on the wall outside.

Serivce was ok, don't expect anything flash. Staff wasn't a standout, but they got it done. When asked what the actual address of the place was, one particular staff admitted she had no idea.

For what it was worth, it was a pretty nice place to have a quick bite. Standards are high in Manly, and this place is definitely heading the right way.

Lovely little brekkie and lunch spot! I had the poached eggs with asparagus and tomatoes and got toast on the side (I do wish it had just come with toast rather than having to pay extra, but it wasn't the worst thing). They have a wide selection of juices and smoothies to choose from, and allow you to customise them to your heart's content. My meal and juice was just under $25.

While being a bit on the pricier side, they offer good portions and the quality is great as well. Most of the seating is outside though, as it is a small business, so it's great if the sun is out but it gets busy so probably is not the best place to be if it's rainy or cold.

Smoothies look amazing as well, will be popping in again soon to try one!

Market Lane Cafe is a great place to go with delicious food! From Circular Quay, take a scenic ferry ride to Manly. Once you hop off from Manly Wharf it's a short walk down a hidden lane-way on Market Lane. I had the vegetarian panini and a berry smoothie! Both were the best sandwich and smoothie I had. There is indoor and outdoor seating and is a kid friendly environment! There is also gluten free and vegetarian options! Great vibe that is busy and buzzy and favorite with locals! Once you grab a quick and healthy bite walk down the Corso with shops, cafes, pubs, and other restaurants and enjoy Manly Beach! I will definitely be back to Market Lane Cafe to try more of their amazing coffees and food!

Absolutely amazing food! Both me as very health conscious, my husband who likes plain food and my friend who is a vegetarian enjoyed a beautiful breakfast.
