Mas Que Tapas

We'd noticed Mas Que Tapas on a quick trip to Venus Beach. After frolicking in the cold (frigid, rather) beach, we wanted to wrap up our late afternoon with some Tapas and 2 glasses of Sangria. Sit anywhere outside is what rules.

Mas Que Tapas' main spot is sitting by the one-way narrow street as cars and bicyclists go by like a hair away from you. You'll be fine. Trust. Our 2 sangrias were weak, barely had any substance and reminded me of fruit punch. My Fried Eggplant would've tasted very delicious if it didn't have that molasses which they call 'honey' on it. It was just bad. But Gambones were good and so were the fried anchovies. Forget the sangria- this place is doable if you want to grab a quick bite outdoors and enjoy the sea view.

I've been to many cities in Spain and this is by far the worst place I've ever been to in my life and the only bad experience I've ever had. The food is horrible and the service was atrocious, it took over 2 hours to bring 4 tapas dishes and the quality was so bad, comparable to a fast food restaurant if not worse. Avoid at all costs, even McDonalds is a better choice. Shockingly bad.

First restaurant we tried as soon as we got to Marbella (at 11 pm). Ordered several different tapas - chicken wings, spicy potatoes, shrimp salad, calamari, avocado salad - all were delicious! Best calamari I ever had - tender and tasty! Others in our group had burger, sea bass, and ham/pineapple pizza. The next we went back and had breakfast - just as good as the night before. Not one complaint. The only issue we had was language barrier, but that's what our phones are for, right? ;-)

So if I could give ZERO or negative number of stars I would.

It's cheap booze and when you're drunk most likely you won't be able to tell how bad the food and service really are. The fries we got were old and cold, and the tapas (if that's what you call them) are basically a la cart tiny dishes of bland tasteless fat. So I suppose if your drunk and with good friends it won't much matter, since you're in Marbella right on the beach.

Nothing about this place was good, which is a real shame since it's in a prime location, right off the beach. Our waiter (this may have been our particular luck) was plain, un-interesting, and un-interested. The bathroom was down right disgusting, and this was in the afternoon when no one was there, so I can only imaging what it would be like when the throngs of people get there, but then again, when you're completely drunk and having fun, I guess nothing really matters :P

They say you get what you pay for so if cheap booze and even cheaper food is what you want, welcome.

Good things first: the sangria was good. But please go somewhere else. The tapas are not tasty, small and taste like nothing. Waiter was alright. In a nutshell: cannot recommend it

We landed here upon arrival when hunger prevailed over the rest. The food is ok, the service is ok, but not more. Small portions at small prices but if you convert into value for money, this is definitely not the place.

Looked popular when walking by. Slow/rude staff, sub-par staff. 4/8 orders messed up & a small piece of hair on one of the plates.

Started to rain on the main Avenue so we stepped into this little restaurant for a bite and a drink. Ordered two tapas that came with cold soggy french fries. The meatball top was not very good. The duck tapa was just ok. The pizza margarita looked and tasted like something from the frozen food section that had just been heated up. No fresh tomatoes just tomato sauce and cheese.

Terrible food. Rude staff. When we sent out our drinks in dirty glasses they started yelling. But what can you expect from a joint that advertises €1 tapas?

This place is very good. The waiters are extremely friendly and the food is delicious. They have a menu of over 80 kinds of tapas!!!! Great atmosphere in the old town with huge TV screens inside. It's warm inside too because of the heaters. I'm coming tomorrow for breakfast!!!
