We were eager to taste the authentic paella, Masusa was highly recommended. After following the Google map direction for 30 minutes we finally reached the destiny.
At 2pm, we grabbed the last table outside; the weather was perfect.
We shared an octopus appetizer to start with some wine, it was very yummy. The texture was slightly chewy and tastier than the version we had at home, I enjoyed the charred crispy edges especially.
Black ink seafood paella recommended by the waitress was so tasty, we didn't mind at all that our teeth were turning black. There were many different variations of paella on other tables, most were yellowish from the saffron, some bright red from beets or spice and black ones from squid ink. We enjoyed a delicious meal and a very pleasant experience.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jul 10, 2023
MUST TRY!! We got lucky and was able to snag a seat indoors. Outside tables were completely full and shortly after being seated, the whole restaurant filled up. Be patient, there's only one waiter working the whole restaurant but I promise the wait is worth it! The cup of sangria is massive, I wished I had photographed my hand with it for reference. Crab salad on avocado was good but it wasn't anything memorable. Now I usually don't like battered fried food, but ommgggg this fried fish was SO light and flakey! It was cooked to perfection. The star of the night was the squid ink paella, put a dollop of the garlic cream and it's a game changer. This was the best paella dish we had on our Spain vacation.

Looking for traditional Valencian Paella near the city center? Then head over to Masusa Paella Bar in Ruzafa! We sat inside the cozy restaurant and ordered some tapas and drinks before our paella.
Recommendations: For tapas, try the patatas bravas. For paella, try the traditional Valencian Paella with chicken and rabbit. So good!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Evgeny F.New York, NY485Sep 18, 2023
We haven't had a paella but three other dishes were of poor taste while clearly overpriced. Truly bad experience

Good food and excellent service. There are so many restaurants in the neighborhood but we keep going back because they're so friendly and attract friendly customers. For vegetarians there are a few good options including a veggie paella.

So lucky to score a table here during Fallas!! The Pallea Rufaza was to die for. The wait staff was so helpful and a pleasure to talk with about the food and culture. A definite do not miss!!

Nice place with tasty food. Waiter was very friendly and careful. May be its place not best in Valency but nice for dinner with friends

Great paella and tapas away from the tourist center of Valencia. Patatas bravas and croquetas also very good. Lots of outdoor tables.
