Definitely one of our favorite Connecticut wineries! The staff is always friendly and the wine is always good! You will definitely walk away with at least a couple bottles every time!
It was nice and quiet when we got there around opening time.
I wish we could have stayed for the live entertainment, but we had other plans already.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 230192306Jul 29, 2023
Great stop on the Connecticut wine trail. Outdoor patio is always welcoming. Sunset white is my favorite go to wine. Nestled away in Ledyard with great hours and service. Warm and welcoming.

I have visited this winery quite a few times with some friends. I had another great day here. The wine was delicious, the band was great and the visitors were very friendly as well.
This time i was able to get a chocolate wine shot. So tasty. Definitely recommend it!
Sunset white is definitely a go to for a light wine.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Feb 12, 2022Previous reviewVery busy today. Stopped in because the weather was nice. I had to wait a few minutes to be helped because they were short staffed.
The lady asked me if it was just me and I said yes. They stop doing tastings at 230 but were willing to do one for me. I told them never mind. She let me taste a few different wines and I settled on the house white.
If you come, highly recommend bringing your own charcuterie board like i did.
Plenty of parking and seating.
Good day to visit today since the weather was nice. Band is starting at 3.Sep 1, 2018Previous reviewNice little tasting room settled in beautiful setting. Recommend this place to anyone. Wonderful staff and great wines!!!

Awesome atmosphere! Great service! Yummy wine! Trifecta!! We loved kicking off our summer vacation with Maugle Sierra. One of our favorite spots on the CT Wine Trail.

RUINED MOTHERS DAY! We had a 2:00 reservation for 10 and left a deposit. We had family driving 1.5 hrs to meet. We arrived and the winery was closed due to plumbing problems. No one had the DECENCY to call us to let us know! A simple phone call! The owner was condescending when I called and when asked if he was the owner he replied well I'm the plumber today. NOT funny! He also said we will refund your deposit. OF COURSE YOU WILL! It took us an hour to find another winery to accommodate us. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE JUST TERRIBLE

Stopped in for a quick tasting while at Foxwoods. Cute outdoor area but tons of fruit flies. We got the red wine flight and it was awful! Smelled funky like manure and medicine, tasted terrible! The rose was even worse! Avoid...

I was so disappointed. We arrived looking for a tasting and a glass to relax and enjoy a nice summer afternoon. We were talked out of a tasting, I am still not sure what happened, it was a confusing exchange. I hadn't even had any wine! I was offered a sip of two different whites. Thank you. I selected one and then was told a GLASS is $15.00!! One glass! How big is this glass? OR I can buy a bottle. Seems to be their strategy. We left.

Visited while spending a few days at Mohegan sun. My boyfriend is new to wine and I thought it would be fun to do a tasting.
I've been to Maugle Sierra before and loved the wine and getting a chocolate shooter at the end.
Upon arrival, I inquired about doing two tasting. I was quickly told "no. That was not the way to go."
I was taken aback and very confused. The employee did let me try a wine before purchasing a bottle which was the cheapest option but the entire visit and exchange with the employee was very uncomfortable
I would skip this vineyard and visit Jonathan Edwards where they will happily serve you a tasting.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Aug 19, 2019
This is a somewhat rocky parking lot attached to a beautiful vineyard. The interior feels like a hunting lodge designed for fun instead of hunting, and there is outdoor seating on an attached deck and a second area downhill overlooking the grapes. No bears are getting these grapes, they seem to be surrounded by a secured fence.
Their dessert shooter is a lot of fun - a delicate chocolate cup filled with one of their three dessert wines. It was recommended to drink about half the shooter, and then pop the whole thing. The wine blended perfectly with the chocolate. They also sell cold water and soda for those who may not be doing a tasting or drinking wine.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0
