From quoting different higher prices for the same procedure to an elderly family member and quoting more than a few thousand above other dental institutions. On top of that finding "cavities" in every which place that magically tack on a few hundred here or there as well as suddenly disappearing when going to another dentist. Also the pushy sales tactics of it all is quite off-putting.

This Dental office has to be the worst I have ever been to for the outright grifting they have shown. They Should be ashamed of themselves especially in a time when so many people are on hard times financially.

A few of the people there who do cleanings are nice, but you shouldn't go in the first place.

Find a place outside of McHenry if you can. If not, then stay away from here.

She is a Butcher, not a dentist- STAY FAR AWAY !! After getting treatment on a tooth that she said needs a Crown, completed all the work, spent thousands up front, I was in severe pain which was told is " normal " . This dentist misdiagnoses alot as I've come to find out. Read reviews, chose another dentist.

Dr. Yana recommended a crown for a minor chip. This chip had been fixed several years ago and held up perfectly. Dr. Yana saw minor wear so it was suggested that it be redone. Her fix was TERRIBLE and broke 3 times. She told me I needed a crown so she destroyed my tooth and over prepared where the crown was to be placed causing her horrible looking crown to fall off twice in a matter of months. Needless to say, I sought help else where and they had to do a root canal and a post along with a new crown. Dr. Yana cost me thousands along with my self confidence and quality of life as I live afraid n people will notice my fake tooth and am in constant fear when I eat of it coming off. In addition, she recommended two additional crowns that my new dentist did NOT see the need for.

Amy son recently went there to get his teeth cleaned and cavities to be addressed. Charged him $99 to use his debit card to pay a &2600 bill. Good service and work but extremely overpriced and charging $100 extra to use a debit card is a scam. I can somewhat understand a few for credit card with the fees the credit card companies charge businesses but this should have been shared ahead of time. Just had work done at Lehman in Crystal lake that amounted to $10k and there were no fees for using a card. Never had any doctor office charge this. Won't be back.

I was in a bit of an urgent situation and I did not check out the reviews before going to this dentist. But, as many of you have stated, this dentist insists on doing expensive work, without the courtesy of calling your insurance or allowing you to call your insurance, then billing outrageous amounts of money. She even stated work that was 'covered' by my insurance as 'not covered' and insisted on a crown which I do not need at an addl cost of $1600...and several other things.......I would be very careful as I allowed her to do some work, then questioned all these treatment plans and she kept telling me she does what 'she thinks is best for her patient'....how about what the patient thinks is best and affordable?? We should all look for a dentist that will work 'with us' and our insurance plan, not against us.

When we moved to McHenry I was super happy to find this dental practice. The doctor is super thorough. They have all the equipment in the office to create crowns (if needed). I've had crowns done in the past where I've waited and then when the dentist places it, it just does fit correctly. My crowns from McHenry dental have been perfect each time. Dr Yana has even helped me by bringing attention to cracks and other damage before it got bad. Dr. Yana is amazing!

What can I say about Dr. Yana Lyushkova & McHenry Family Dental? Actually, I cannot say enough!

Dr. Yana and her staff are the absolute best! I had the very good fortune of meeting them in a very unfortunate emergency situation. They treated me with the utmost kindness & care in a very timely manner. They are all so very nice, so professional and so intelligent and their up-to-date, latest & greatest dental technology is so impressive it made my experience virtually pain-free! Wow that says a lot about them! Let's face it, no one "likes" going to the dentist. However, with the upbeat, cheery personalities in a very welcoming and friendly atmosphere, it really keeps everyone at ease & stress-free!

Brought my kids here a couple years back. Dentist told me my 7 year old son had 6 cavities that all needed to be filled. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and they said he had no cavities. It's frustrating to think of how much dental work my son almost went through not to mention all the money I would have spent.

I've been a patient here for about a year and have had everything from cleanings, fillings, root canals and crowns. They do quality work and the staff is incredibly friendly and relatable. They make me feel comfortable and taken care of and I don't feel judged. I definitely recommend them!

I had an argument about my service with one of her employees and she didn't even step in to difuse the situation. The are trying to do all of this services and charge the insurance later then the patient is stuck with charges not covered. They wanted to do a deep cleaning and I said no and sign a refuse of service. Since I have insurance through the State of Illinois(not Public Aid) they where always making bad comments about how the state doesn't pay even my son said they where making faces when I was talking to them. Lyushkova is the dentist not the techs they should not have an opinion about what services I need or not need.
