Food, service, & ambience were great for a quick solo, Friday night bite! I look forward to returning with friends!

Surprisingly good ramen at Menya & Izakaya. We had the spicy miso, and it was in fact spicy! Lots of ramen places translate 'spicy' into 'mild and flavorless,' but not here. Spicy indeed meant spicy, adding tons of flavor to the dish (and sweat to my forehead).

The bowl was packed with noodles, as well as the usual accouterments. Very filling, I couldn't make it through the entire entree despite my best effort.

At $18 a bowl (as of February 2024), this place is a great value for delicious ramen!

I love coming to this spot with younger people as the food is decent and very spacious. They don't have tap beers but a variety of canned beers as well as Japanese soft drinks - like the bottle drink with the marble!

We got appetizers - Edamame, Takoyaki, and karaage! Then we got ramen too! They also had fried cream
Which was a super tasty treat for us all! We are first timers of fried ice cream! We don't have a photo since we ate it quickly!

More of a 3.5, the food we got was a little hit or miss but nothing bad! The service bumps it up to a 4 though. They were pretty busy but we still got a table right away. Highlights were the rib eye skewer and zucchini skewers as well as the dumplings in chili oil. The takoyaki was pretty fine as was the other two skewers we got (fish cake and sausage). The karaage was pretty lackluster, not a fave, wouldn't go back for that. But it was a fun meal!

My friends & I were attempting to go to another resto in the area but after that restaurant was so unresponsive, we decided to find another place for dinner for our large party. Lo & behold, we found ourselves looking into Menya and said, hey, why not?!?

I must say, it's most definitely worth the trip coming here! The ramens are full of flavor & a whole bowl of fresh noods. The skewers are tasty & rich in flavor. And the apps are worth the extra few bucks.

Quick, easy dinner that's perfect for large groups & even great for families - I don't see why anyone wouldn't want to come!

My wife and I came here on a Sunday evening. Not a ton of people, but the food and ambience were really good.

We both got the chicken teriyaki bento box. There was a LOT of rice, and we're trying to be carb-conscious so that was a bit of a turnoff. Edamame portion was sizable. The other option you have for "sides" for the bento boxes are all fried - would be nice to have a steamed dumpling or shumai option.

Also got a few yakitori skewers and they were good. The steak one was pretty small, but the cauliflower was excellent. Some sort of smoky pepper taste.

Service was good. Took a little bit of time to get food, and they forgot our drink order (just a can of soda), but everyone was friendly.

Would come back if in the neighborhood. They have a decent-size list of ramen options too.

I came here for lunch to try their ramen and it pains me to said it was barely decent. I ordered the miso ramen which comes with wavy noodles, chashu pork, half a boil egg, scallions, bamboo shoots, 1 piece nori, sliced wood ear mushrooms, bean sprouts and cabbage in miso tonkotsu broth. The broth itself is very salty without any flavors to it. The noodles was too soft and tasted like package instant noodles. While the egg was good (nice and jammy) the char su was tough and a bit dry despite the fat surrounding it. It also lacked the flavor.
Overall, very disappointing ramen.

I enjoyed Menya. It's a cute, cozy and chill spot to grab some ramen. They have good choices of ramen, especially if you are vegan and don't want to eat meat etc. I like that if you don't see anything on the menu you like you can customize your own ramen bowl. I made my own :) . The spicy miso broth is good. I love spicy food and on a scale of 1 to10. I would give it a 6. It's safe. I could of taken two more levels up of spice. Lol. If you check in via yelp you will receive a free appetizer. I chose the edamame and it was fine.

Stopped in for a quick lunch when work was light and was pleasantly surprised. Their menu offers an array of ramen, entrees, and bento boxes as well as several appetizers and yakitori dishes. They have a 4 skewer special for 15 dollars which sold it for me.

I ordered the pork and onion rice bowl which was savory, sweet, and salty atop a nice bowl of medium grain rice, an overall solid dish. I ordered the pork bun which came out on a wonderfully pillowy bun and with a sweet but not overbearing sauce. Accompanied by cauliflower, chicken, rib eye, and sausage skewers, my meal was large but delicious and was probably more than I should have eaten during a work day.

So why only 4 stars? The food was good but not life changing. The service was fast, the restaurant clean. The dishes came out hot and in good portions for the price. Overall, I'll be back because this place has set a good standard.

Great location and vibes if your on 5th Ave.
First thing I love about it is the customer service and ambiance. Very chill vibe good for couple, singles, and families to enjoy. I also love the fact you can create your own ramen dish. I choose spicy miso ramen broth with the works, they have lots of add ons, my favorite is kikurage mushroom. I also added a appetizer as well. Amazing size dishes as well! Once again outstanding customer service, will be back.
