I ordered a gown for my daughter's wedding and was told I had to pay in full. Sadly my gown was never ordered and my money never returned. I was just put off until I was almost out of options. Thankfully another store ( Ask Alice woodbury) were able to call the designer and order me the last dress in that style. Too late at this point to order anything custom. I had to take a size 4. The dress was originally ordered in a size 10. Since the 4 fit me well, I am assuming the alterations would have been extensive on the size 10 costing me way above the original price. I paid in full before reading the reviews, lessoned learned I guess. I was not the only one with this story. I would have saved myself a lot of heartache. It was so disappointing.

There was drama surrounding prom but I gave it a shot ... there's a sign on the door that they are closed due to family issues ... not going back!

DO NOT COME HERE My sister along with her friend & a good friend of mine all got screwed over by Merrily! She strung her along telling her the dress would arrive by a particular month & it came 2/3 months AFTER extremely close to prom. She picked up the dress & it was the SAME dress from the floor she tried on months and months prior. There wasn't any "tags" or anything on this "new" dress and they had to steam and wrap it before handing it over first.. wonder why? This problem also happened with my good friend and my sisters friend had to pick a different dress off the floor because they couldn't get the dress she ordered way in advance in time for prom. All you have to do is look this place up on google to see the many girls disappointed and screwed over for prom and other special events by Merrily. Save yourself a headache and look elsewhere for a dress.

I strongly do NOT recommend that anyone purchase a prom, sweet 16, mother of the bride or any sort of dress through Merrily Couture. Merrily is a liar, and will steal your money without showing the slightest remorse and will leave you scrambling to find another dress from somewhere else. I ordered a brand new dress from her and was told it would come in a few weeks.MANY weeks had gone by and the dress wasn't coming in, so Merrily lied and told me it came in, but instead gave me her dirty and torn floor sample and tried to pass it off as my brand new ordered dress. When confronted, she played victim and blamed it on the designer when it was clear that the dress was off of her floor. Take your business elsewhere and save yourself the stress and disappointment!!

I ordered my prom dress from here in February for my senior prom and was so excited they told me it would be here in 4 weeks it has now been 13 weeks and my dress is still not here and my prom is in 5 weeks and I still would need to get my dress altered. the women who owns this place has done this to multiple people and you don't get your money back if your dress doesn't come in on time they just tell you to pick a dress off the rack that so many people have put on. I would not recommend going here unless you wanna deal with so much stress and frustration. I can't believe the amount of people who have had the same problem as me this store should be out of business with the amount of complaints they get. I don't know how they are getting away with this stuff they just lie to the costumers over and over again about when there dress is coming.Even if I get my dress I would never go back here this place is run by teenagers who don't even know what there doing they just have to listen to what the owner tells them to say and lie about when someone's dress is coming.I know someone who actually works at the store and ordered a dress from there and there dress didn't even come in time and merrily told her to just get one off the rack like that's suppose to make someone feel better.This place needs to be shut down or sued for the amount of money they take from people just for there dress to not come in.

I went into Merrily's shop a few weeks ago to look for a mother of the bride dress as my daughter is getting married next November 2023. I have been to other shops in the area and hands-down she had the most beautiful and unique dresses. In addition, she is the nicest most knowledgeable lady I encountered at any of the other stores. She had so many ideas as to how I could alter some of the dresses I tried on and you could just see how confident she is in her knowledge about gowns and in her business. She took so much time with me and was pulling out dresses that she thought would work but that I would never have chosen for myself off of the rack, one of which I ended up ordering for my daughter's wedding! Everyone that I was with was just in love with the gown as was I. I had purchased my daughter's prom gown 9 years ago from Merrily Coutoure and she is the same wonderful person to work with today as she was then! Another excellent experience with Merrily! What a gem to have this local store for formal events! I am not one to write many reviews, but this was a great experience!
