Mimi's Maids

Mimi was very sweet and cordial but in the end I am severely disappointed in this service, especially after our realtor recommended Mimi's.

First, my wife was told that the premium "deep clean" was our only option because of our distance to the area she usually services--which is Alamo Ranch, just a 15-minute drive up Potranco to the house we just bought. I am still left wondering and flabbergasted about what exactly we paid for. She assured us that with the purchase of a deep clean that they "clean everything."

We hired Mimi to clean the used house we purchased, which had no furniture and was to the naked eye superficially clean--ready for a walkthrough, yes, but not deep cleaned to belie the five years the previous owner lived in it.

I am left to assume Mimi's crew saw that our new home was clean enough for a showing so they halfheartedly worked, thinking that someone else already did the job for them.

She sent us pictures of her small crew cleaning our windows and a picture of a wet, mopped kitchen floor. But as you will see in the pictures, while the floor was likely treated with product, there was bits of trash and debris left brushed up against the edge of the floor as if the floor was mopped and all the clutter was sloppily pushed over and left uncleaned.

Most disappointedly I am continually finding splotches all over the house that I have since had to clean myself and more often than not only required a gentle wipe down, which means it was never done in the first place (see pictures).

In the end, we can be guaranteed Mimi cleaned our windows, mopped our small kitchen, and cleaned most of the baseboards. Does that constitute a "deep clean" in a three-bedroom, 1500 sq.ft. home? I don't believe so.

Mimi, to her credit, refunded us the money that it costs to upgrade from a basic clean to her deep-clean service.

I cannot recommend Mimi's Maid Service enough! They are professional, warm, personable, efficient, up front, and highly skilled. This business is licensed to clean homes and workplaces. If you're not sure who to hire, wonder no longer! Hire them!

The wife had been going back and forth on whether or not we should have our home professionally cleaned. We both work full time and the have 2 kids so the maintaining our home is very difficult. I finally called a few home cleaning services and got a hold of Debbie. Let me just say that hiring Debbie was a great decision, not only does our home look amazing but she takes pride in her work and answers all of your questions along the way. If you need a maid service I recommend Mimi's Maids.

Mimi's Maid Service did a deep clean of my home before we put it on the market. My home looks brand new. I recommend her services if you are looking for great work at a very reasonable price.

Debbie cleaned our new two story home in December right before the holiday and did a phenomenal job. She went above and beyond and most definitely exceeded our expectations. We didn't even know that the prior owners had cats until she showed us the cat hair she collected along the way. I was shocked!

She was on time, professional, and no doubt a very hard worker. I couldn't help but offer her more than her going rate as I was just that impressed. Highly recommend and we will be using her again.

I hired Mimi's Maid Service about 3 weeks ago and so far I have been very happy with the work Deborah has done. I always look forward to coming home because I know it will be clean :) Also, her prices are very reasonable!

I recently started services up again and decided to hire Mimi once again. She did not disappoint! I had a deep cleaning done of ceiling fans, baseboards, blinds, etc. and her work was outstanding! My five yr old daughter absolutely loves her and, she is like family now! Thank you again for your dedication to perfection.

I wish I could give zero stars, but that is not an option. I debated if I was going to say anything, but after just having to clean my own house after Debbie "cleaned" it, I am fuming. She showed up late, but she was lost. I'm not sure how people can get lost these days, but I was willing to give her a shot because she appeared to be so nice and needing to work. She stated herself that she did not do that great of a job and would make that up at the next visit. She was right, it was not that great. I was going to discuss this with her on her next visit. We set up a two week schedule which she texted me to confirm. Then the day she was supposed to come, she texted me that she had some emergency issues. She did not offer another date or to have someone else come do it for her. It's been days and I have not heard from her. I have hired another company. UPDATE: I noticed since I wrote this that she has been "hired" to do additional jobs. Well if the health problem that she had (which was huge) has been resolved, then I feel even more take advantage of.

Another update for those that don't read good. I am pretty sure I know who is writing the recent good reviews since they/it/she have the same writing style. Also Debbie said she wrote down the wrong address, when she finally showed up, now the "good reviewer" is saying that I texted her the wrong address. How would that reviewer know that? So this is my rebuttal. Um, actually I wanted to give her zero stars and it was not for being late (which was hours late BTW). She did a terrible job and by terrible I mean, that I am not sure what she cleaned. She admitted that it was not her best. I STILL tried to give her the benefit of the doubt and gave her a chance to right the situation, she bailed and obviously overcame her incredible health emergency. I think it's important for me to let others know about what I experienced. Now, I am sure that there will be another random positive review that will talk about me, but I am done responding.

Ms. Debbie has been helping us bi-weekly for over a year. She is accommodating to our hectic schedule. As the sole proprietor, she takes great pride in her work and always on time. She has become part of our family. We have referred her to numerous friends and peers. Highly recommend!

I hired Mimi's Maids not too long ago, and man, she did a GREAT job. As a new homeowner, I was a bit overwhelmed on what needed to be done, but she came in and gave a fair estimate, and once the job was done, I was amazed. She left no stone unturned, cleaned things I wouldn't have thought of, like the blinds and the baseboards. Debbie is very friendly and trustworthy, and did a fantastic job. I will definitely be using her services again!
