So I've been a regular patron of Miner's T since 2006. I've taken so many friends here over the years for the "best burger in Colorado" but alas that chapter is over. Unfortunately the quality and great service left the building with Lee (and a number of the staff members that we loved to see every Wednesday night for years).
Tonight we sat still waiting to order after our appetizers were well on their way to being finished. We ordered and then proceeded to watch people that had arrived well after we had ordered receive and finish their food. When the server noticed that we still had nothing to eat, she never said a word. 99% chance she forgot to enter our order and tried to then rush it through the kitchen. Finally I went to the bar and asked if we could just be cashed out to leave. When I went to sit back down to wait for the bill, the manager came over and argued with us about how she wasn't arguing with us and Insisted that the kitchen was just not able to fill our "really big ticket". Keep in mind at this point in time we had 2 of our four sandwiches (wow..... huuuuge order) and then this came (picture atttached). I can't even explain it. How do you even do this? How do you burn black a half of a fried chicken sandwich? Isn't it supposed to be deep fried? Moreover, then when you walk off with it, how do you never come back with another one when you're aware of how terrible this whole experience has been because you, the manager, took it back to the kitchen yourself? Instead, you bring a bill for the appetizers and let three out of the four guests eat while one just festers while staring at his empty spot at the table?
Bizarre.
We miss the quality ingredients and honest and good service. Hopefully it's over soon so that someone can buy out the current owners, replace the manager and restore our simple little dive to its previous glory.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Holly A.Erie, CO1573560Aug 19, 2020

We had a fun outing with our friends from Broomfield. They selected the location and it was perfect for our final night visiting the area. We ate on the restaurant side of the establishment. Some people were dining outdoors. As with most places there were not enough staff on duty, but our server did a great job and provided some humorous exchanges with my DH. I don't remember what all
of us had to eat, but the food and atmosphere were enjoyable. There was food to take home and still no room for dessert. The next time we come to visit, we will returnHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 19, 2018
I'm not a bar guy but this is a Great, old school, local bar.
Open air seating, lots of good local beer selection, good bar style food... Not fancy but most of the items (like the burgers and fries) are made fresh and taste great.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Greg R.CO, CO12274Oct 12, 2020
We dined at Miners Tavern last night. The food and service was GREAT!
We started with an order of wings and fried pickles. Then moved on to the Motherlode burger. All the food was excellent. About the only thing missing were the jalapenos advertised on the burger. Personally, I did not miss them.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Alexander B.Erie, CO165106Aug 19, 2018
Friendly and fast service. Simple food that tasted great. Try the IPA and a "Landfill Burger". Tastes like - I'm going to be back for more.
The kids liked it as well and the atmosphere is laid back and casual.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Michael R.Rapid City, SD08321Dec 10, 2019
Great burgers and atmosphere! Reasonable pricing!
Recommend Landfill Burger, but all of the burgers are good and come with options for meat (beef, bison, etc)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Liana L.Erie, CO101393Jan 22, 2021
SO GOOD! We ordered takeout for the first time and the burgers, chocolate chip cookies, and fried oreos were all delicious!! Will absolutely be ordering again. So thrilled to have this gem down the street!

Our first official night in Erie after moving all day we decided to go back to the miners tavern for some drinks before the Broncos game. We had been here twice before we moved to Erie.
Good bar food, Laid back atmosphere. Just a relaxed vibe and have literally talking about how I can't wait to come eat and watch the games here every Sunday once we're settled.
When we sat down the bartender served us but was very quite and didn't really talk to us. Which was fine. We were very polite, said thank you with every order or request, and things started to get weird.
Soon the bartender started chatting up everyone.... new people coming in, people who had been sitting down for a long time, smiling, talking loudly, but when she came back to us, she barley made eye contact and didn't say a word to us.
After about an hour, she asked us to cash out because they were "switching bartenders."
We cashed out, gave her a 28% tip ( again barley said anything), then she proceeded to work for another two and a half hours. All the while no one else came over to serve us.
We only stayed because again we were watching the broncos game, and finally it was that after 45 minutes without service, she came back over and asked if i wanted another drink. Again, she made us cash out and we were at the bar. We didn't ask to cash out. Honestly felt like she didn't want us sitting at the bar for some reason.
We had a blast as we met some really great people next to us who had been in the neighborhood for a long time. From there we slowly started to forget about our rough service.
We'll go back, but we think because we were young that the bartender had it out for us for some reason.... can't really explain what happened...Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Eddie R.Erie, CO255777Aug 6, 2020
Been to the Miners Tavern a few times since moving to Erie. Typically the experience has been pretty good. Food is good and prices are decent. Tonight was different. After the farmers market, we went inside and were waiting to be seated at the hostess stand. Problem is no hostess ever came to seat us. After watching barkeeps fulfill orders, waitress wait on tables, and busboy ready utensils we walked out. We had been inside 5-10 minutes and not even an acknowledgement. Disappointing but We are now down the street at another establishment.
