Mochiholic is located inside Factory Tea Bar and I believe they do have other locations throughout the Bay. There is plenty of parking.
I love mochi donuts and was excited to try these. Bought a dozen to take back home to share. Sadly when I got to eat them, the donuts were not chewy as expected. Maybe these are meant to be eaten right away? But I have gotten mochi donuts elsewhere and they were still chewy the next day..
I got six different flavors to try. These were not as flavorful compared to other places I've tried. My favorite flavor was the green tea one. Usually that would have the strongest flavor, even that was mild. The rest of the flavors somewhat tasted very similar. Which was a disappointment, as I was looking forward to a variety of flavors to taste.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jul 4, 2021
Mochiholic is located inside Factory Tea Bar so search for FTB on Google maps -otherwise you might end up in a different location.
We got a box of 6 donuts to try. When you order at the kiosk you can choose if you want it off the shelf or made fresh. We picked the latter as we were fine with the 15 min wait.
As promised the donuts came out fresh and warm. In terms of chewiness/mouthfeel, we preferred the donuts from Mochinut but this was still very good.
What we had a problem with were the flavors - we got 6 very different flavors but they all kind of tasted the same. Apart from matcha, you probably wouldn't be able to differentiate the rest if you tried them with your eyes closed.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 24, 2021Updated review
Came here for some mochi donuts since my usual spot sold out for the evening. Not an issue with Mochiholic. I love that their donuts seem to be made fresh. Plus, as mentioned before, super easy to order online or in person. I did walk in and they had my order ready within minutes.
This time around, got the mango, strawberry, matcha, chocolate oreo, and black sesame. The chocolate oreo and black sesame are still my favorites, and now I can add mango to that list as well. The matcha was much better compared to the last time I tried it. I appreciate the matcha for having that slight bitter flavor like true matcha does, and thankfully, there was no grainy texture this time around.
Brought these over to my family and they devoured them all within minutes. Thank you, Mochiholic, and keep up the good work!Helpful 12Thanks 0Love this 15Oh no 0Sep 18, 2020Previous reviewCame here as part of a Yelp perk. I've only been to one other mochi donut place and that's Te' Amo Mochi Donuts and Boba Tea in Castro Valley.
Compared to Te' Amo, Mochiholic has the edge in terms of freshness, six flavors to choose from, being available every day, having an easy online ordering system, and packaging. Based on all the photos uploaded for Mochiholics, it seems like they rotate out one flavor out of the six.
In terms of flavors, I really enjoyed the black sesame (kuro) and the oreo chocolate (dark knight). The earl grey turned out to be WAY too sweet while the matcha was bitter and had a grainy texture. Would've loved to have tried their mango flavor, but that wasn't available when I went.
If you're looking to enjoy fresh mochi donuts any time of the day, Mochiholics is the way to go! - May 23, 2021
WHEN: Sunday @ 7:30pm
FYI It was located inside factory tea bar, we thought it was a separate shop in the plaza.
There were 2 kiosks to order, 1 kiosk for mochiholic, another for FTB. Contactless/ cashless transaction. No indoor seatings, you have to wait for your order outside.
WHAT I ORDERED
Cinnamon mochi donut
Blueberry mochi donut
Total was $6.50 for 2 donuts. Mochi donut price points are tad expensive, it was a decent dessert.
The donuts weren't fresh out of the oven, it wasn't warm, it was room temperature. If it was more fresh, it'd taste better. I wouldn't drive out of my way for mochi donuts, I was in the area and decided to try it.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - Jun 3, 2021
My goodness...I stumbled upon this place during a Yelp Elite Event that hosted DIY Mochi Donuts. But...who knew, you can actually order a DIY Kit to frost these yummy treats at home, too? What a fun idea for a play date or a kid's birthday party.
Also, it's important to note that some of the donut options are ONLY available if you order at the kiosk. Due to Covid restrictions, I knew I would be waiting for a bit, so I was happy to wait the 20 minutes for fresh donuts (it's sooo worth it)!
In terms of my recent Mochi Donut adventures, I found the flavor spectrum of these donuts amazing! I wish I'd ordered the custard donuts with boba, because the Tea Factory (where Mochiholic is housed) has perfectly gooey boba!
In terms of the Mochi, I actually wished these donuts were a bit more glutinous and chewy. But, if you're a fan of Mochi like me, you won't be disappointed with what you find here. I'm not sure it is worth a drive to get these when I have some tasty spots more conveniently located by me, but I loved the opportunity to try another creator of this delicious delicacy.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - 225148532Jun 3, 2021
This review is for the Yelp Elite Event they hosted the week of May 31st. Thank you for allowing me to participate at my first event with you and Factory Tea Bar!
Their space is tucked away in a corner of the shopping plaza inside of Factory Tea Bar but is easily identified by the neon sign proclaiming their arrival; "Mociholic is Here!"
Inside, there is two separate areas to enter, on the left you can place an order at a kiosk and on the right they had the space set up for the Yelp Event with a sign inviting you to check in. Since it was a combined event with both the tea bar and mochi donuts, it was only appropriate that they have two diy stations, which I am now garnering from others that it is not normal and that this experience is truly one of a kind.
For the mochi station, there was a man behind the plexiglass who informed me that I would be glazing the donuts as well as adding toppings of my choice. On this day, they had matcha green tea, black sesame and strawberry as their glazing options and freeze dried strawberries, black sesame seeds and oreo crumbles for toppings.
I prepared myself by using the hand sanitizer at the station as well as wearing disposable gloves. The man was kind enough to show me that I needed to drop the mochi into the glaze bucket (press down if you want extra glaze!) and then when you pick it up to lightly shake off the excess before turning it right side up on the drying sheet. Then, because the glaze sets quickly, you must add your toppings right away so that it sticks to the donut!
I had so much fun doing this and was able to try all three flavors and three toppings. I will say that I felt a bit of a mess when I was trying to pick up the donuts from the bucket and felt that I got more glaze on my gloves than is normal, but practice makes perfect right ;) Luckily they had napkins to wipe off the excess glaze as well as extra gloves if things got too out of hand.
Taste test time! I was not able to eat the donuts right away, so it was sitting in the box for around 2 hours but I must say it was still quite bouncy, and chewy the way mochi should be enjoyed. To be honest the glazes were not that discernible to me; I could taste a hint of strawberry, but I think that was mostly due to the freeze dried strawberries on top. Black sesame just tasted like a sugary sweet donut while the matcha was the one that had the most forward flavor profile; I could definitely taste a slight bitterness one gets from the tea.
Overall a wonderful experience and great option for those of you who love this mochi donut craze (as I do!) Check out my Factory Tea Bar review for more of my thoughts on this event!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - May 13, 2021
When I heard this place serves mochi donuts and milk tea I was super excited because this is the perfect combination.
I came in and wasn't greeted. The customer service is not friendly. Once I placed an ordered on the tablet, I got a text saying that my order will be ready in 25 minutes. That's a long time to wait for mochi donuts and milk tea even though if they make it fresh. I ask the person working if it's going to take that long and he explain the process of making the donut and said it should be done sooner than the estimate time.
Once the worker was done explaining the mochi donut and milk tea was ready. I was quite disappointed because the way they explained it I though the mochi donut would be fresh yet, it was cold. (Wasn't sure how long this been sitting out)
I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Not good at all. Not the food or service :(Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

hi Justin,
Sorry to hear about this experience. Customer satisfaction is our top priority and we're sorry we didn't meet your expectation. With covid and safer protocol to our customers and staff, we have moved our onsite demand to kiosk but if you do need any onsite assistance; our team would be more than happy to help out. We will also investigate about the cold food experience and make sure this won't happen again. We appreciate the feedback and always improving ! We hope this is an one time exception and hope to see you again soon!

Mochi donuts have been the latest craze and I was so happy when FTB started having mochi donut popups last summer. I recently came back to try them again and I think they've tweaked their recipe because they tasted better than when I first had them.
These donuts are less greasy and hold better the next day than MoDo's IMO, which I appreciate! What's super cute and fun is that they come out with seasonal flavors and character donuts!
They've also started selling mochi mixes to make your mochi-based treats at home like a mochi waffles, pancakes, and malasadas. I LOVE their pancake and waffle mixes which have the perfect amount of chew in them. You can even get creative and add matcha or ube flavors to it at home.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0 - 3007746157Dec 17, 2020
I've tried many mochi donuts around the Bay Area and Mochiholic is the best!! I was excited to see their popup nearby at KoJa Dublin and ordered a half dozen of their Halloween (dark) flavors. Their donuts were packaged in a festive Halloween box and I picked up one of their cute totes too.
Their donuts were beautiful and delicious! The donut itself was light, chewy and not greasy at all. I liked the unique dark color. The flavors of their glazes and toppings set Mochiholic apart from the others. Black sesame was so good. Carnival was a contrast of textures with caramel and crunchy crushed peanuts. Even the simple cinnamon sugar had a pop of flavor!
I'm hoping that Mochiholic comes back to KoJa Dublin soon!Helpful 9Thanks 0Love this 11Oh no 0
