Food was excellent. I had the meat loaf which was excellent. Green bean casserole had a little 'kick' to it which was a nice (guessing local) spin. Meal was a good portion. Wife got the chicken and stuffing. This was an unusual presentation as it was shredded chicken in with the stuffing (separate was the minds eye)). Again a plentiful portion.
Since both were specials it worked out to be a cheap night out.
The food arrived very quickly and the servers are friendly.

For $7.95 I got 1 grilled pork chop, fried okra, corn and fried corn bread its ok. The pork chop was a small portion, tough and needed A1 sauce to taste ok. The fried okra was pretty good - crunchy and not slimy. Corn - seemed like from the can and needed lots of black pepper and salt. Fried corn bread - it was very dry and did not taste good. Don't expect too much quality wise for the price.

Interior very open and staff were all very friendly and attentive.

I was expecting a real home cooking - hearty, hot and flavorful... sad it did not give me any of those things.

I'm really in no position to be passing judgement on a country style restaurant. I can tell you that I found this place while driving from Huntsville to Muscle Shoals and that I was quite pleased with my experience. I stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday and the place had a pretty good turnout. The menu had a good selection of apps, salads, sandwiches, burgers, and country style entrees. I decided to stick with a cheeseburger and tots. I was told by the waitress that the burgers are hand pressed; I can attest that they tasted pretty damn good. The prices in this place are incredibly reasonable. There was a sign on the register saying prices are going up which seems fair given how low they are at the moment. The staff were friendly and the food came out pretty quickly.

My Sister and I wanted to try their Chicken Fried Steak with White Country Gravy. Food was middle of the road. I would give it a 3, but gave it a 4 for other positive points. Muffins were horrible with no flavor. They need to change that recipe. Cream Corn was very good. Fried Steak small and thin, but for price no surprise. Cafe was wide, open, and clean. Bathroom clean. Service was excellent and friendly. They have Steak, Chicken, Shrimp, Burgers, Salad, etc... We do plan to try other menu items and hope to find a favorite.

I came here for lunch and my server took my order within a minute of sitting down. I order a meat and 3 and it took about 10 minutes to get my food. Everything was delicious! The price can't be beat! My server was incredibly friendly.

The food service and ambiance is amazing and the best part about it is that it's close to home just off Alabama Highway 157 which goes from the Shoals to Cullman and Alabama Highway 20/US Highway 72 alternate that goes from Chattanooga Tennessee to Memphis Tennessee but goes right through the middle of Huntsville and the Shoals as well.

I love this restaurant! The food is the best Southern food ever. The staff are friendly, courteous, knowledgeable and professional. They make you feel like you are family and/or at your Mom's or Grandma's house. This restaurant is also a great place to have a party, bridal or baby shower or family gathering. I happily give them 5 stars every time!Chicken Salad, Fried Catfish, Meat and 3 Plate, Mexican Cornbread!

This was my husband and I second time to eat at this restaurant.The first time they didn't have whole fish,only fillets,which where very good.
Our second time we ask about the whole fish,which they had and we ordered two whole fish each.This experience was awful,the fish were greasy and not freshly cooked,not happy at all with food. I ordered onion rings which were cold and greasy.
Not good at all!!!

Momma Jeans is not good because of one unfriendly staff member, bad service, and long wait. My first reason is a single unfriendly staff member. This staff member was rude. We were appalled. My second reason is the bad service of this here establishment. We came here expecting a good time with good food and friends like your cheesy commercial suggests. We were yelled at by the previously mentioned staff. It hurt our pride and we were discouraged to return. My last reason is the long wait times. We waited almost 30 minutes for our waters and almost 2 hours for our food! My family was so bored that I was about done with my 2, 7, and 23 old children. They began to lay math games on their ipad they were so bored! What a waste of our afternoon. I had so much time i applied for and received a license plate and earned my boater's license. In conclusion, we are upset. This was one of our favorite places too. Thank you for hearing about my experience at Momma Jean's.

The food is southern cooking at its best. Not over salted or over cooked, just spot on awesome food. Lots of cop cars and you know they know where to eat.

We had a hard time choosing our sides and you have plenty of options. So our awesome waitress brought us a sample of all the sides when our food was delivered. My next visit will be as difficult as this one choosing.

The meatloaf is incredible and the pork roast is another winner.

This is a definite go back to place. This place is a true Alabama treasure
