We all know how stressful it can be to find a great dentist, so that's why I think it's important for me to leave this review.
I was referred to Dr. Rojas by my sister, as I was looking for a dentist closer to me and a bit more affordable than my previous one. Making an appointment is easy and the staff is very friendly. The office needed to reschedule my original appointment for a reason I can't remember, and you know what they gave me when I came in for my appointment? A swag bag (which it seems like they give all new patients) that included a nice reusable cup, a keychain with a chapstick, a pen and a card! AND a Starbucks gift card due to having to reschedule my appointment. I don't know about you, but I have NEVER received anything like that from any other dental office. That immediately made me feel like they appreciate their patients.
Both of the dental hygienists that have cleaned my teeth each visit are very friendly and engaging, which always keeps me in good spirits. Now on to Dr. Rojas...he is so professional, knowledgeable, caring and personable. During my first visit, he went over my X-rays with me and informed me of a deep cavity my previous dentist missed and the condition of my back teeth (I am a grinder.) He suggested that I get a night guard (again, something that my previous dentist did not bring to my attention) and the office called my insurance to double check my coverage, as last time I came in, a night guard wasn't covered. Luckily, I only had to pay half the cost so I appreciated them looking into again for me. Dr. Rojas really takes the time to address any issues or concerns and never makes the appointment feel rushed. I have never had to wait long for any services during my appointments and I have been very satisfied with the dental work done so far (cavity filling.)
I absolutely love the staff here and did I mention that there's dogs in the office too?! Petey and Pepper are behind the front desk to greet you when you arrive and say goodbye when you leave! Lol. Everyone is just so nice and you feel close with them by the end of your appointment. I highly recommend Monarch Family Dental of Westminster and guarantee you will be pleasantly surprised with the service and care you receive.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Laney M.Westminster, CO01Apr 16, 2024
This is literally scamming people .... Three times I have been "promised " I would only have to pay one amount and yet I get billed for almost half of what I originally paid, then I got laughed at on the phone and condescended the entire time I tried to explain my frustration... then told "if you can dish it ,you better be able to take it" he is a very nice dentist but the front desk it's awful and are so rude but cry when you confront them. (The girl with gages and a tooth tattoo is the worst )

Hi Laney, we are sorry to hear about your frustration, and we completely understand. Unfortunately, insurance is never a promised amount. We are only ever able to gather as much information as possible and give you our best possible estimate. Your insurance chooses what they cover, and we are contractually obligated by law to charge what they tell us to. As for the customer service complaints, please call us directly to discuss the matter further as we always want patients to feel cared for by our entire team and we look for any opportunity to grow as providers.

Horrible Horrible Horrible front Desk staff, I have also launched an investigation with my insurance company due to their "billing" practices. 1st time we paid $118 at the time of the visit, got a bill in the mail saying we owe another $81, showed up to pay it, they charged my card double so I walked back in there asked for a refund for the difference the lady with the gaged ear rings and a tooth tattoo on her neck rolled her eyes snatched the paper from my hand like I was lying. She then continued to have an attitude while fixing HER mistake. We did go back for a second visit, I was told they got the billing /coverage back from our insurance so this visit should be charged properly. And then TODAY we got a bill for another $60 bucks after already paying at the time of the visit and they had the list of what our insurance covers!!!. I believe they are trying to SCAM their patients and also the insurance companies... Do your self a favor and find a better Dentist office, at least until Dr Rojas can find a better front office staff.. Definitely pass on this place!!!!

Hi Tonja. We are sorry to hear you were unhappy our office. Unfortunately, when it comes to insurance, we are contractually obligated to charge patients as directed by the insurance company. We do our best to gather as much information we can to provide the most accurate quote, but it's never a promise or guarantee and is always ultimately up to the insurance provider what they wish to cover. We understand that insurance is frustrating, but we do everything we can to provide quotes that are as accurate as possible. Again, we apologize for any confusion. We would be happy to discuss the matter further, and if you need any additional assistance please call us directly.

I used to love this place, I even recommended it to friends and family. I will no longer be a patient there due to their lack of empathy for adults with busy schedules and unplanned events. I work 2 full time jobs and I try my best to schedule appointments. If you're sick and have Covid like I did and call to move the appointment, it's a $50 fee. If you have a cold sore which you can't prevent.. it's a $50 fee. I even showed up with a cold sore which I thought was healed after rescheduling twice (because I had back to back cold sores) and they sent me home and rescheduled me. Then it SNOWED and when I scheduled it I didn't have enough time to clean off my car and arrive. I was 9 minutes late and as I'm in the parking lot they called me and rescheduled me. They did not mention on the phone that there would be a fee for that since I showed up and they are the ones that moved me. I can't help the weather. We scheduled it around my work meetings. They should really take into consideration that people have lives too and can't take off of work a million times. Not only did I have to miss a meeting and use up some of my PTO to come to the reschedule I didn't ask for but then they charged me a fee.
A 24 hour notice is NOT always possible.. not when you struggle to work 2 full time jobs. I can't afford to come to this place anymore. Christmas is right around the corner and they're penalizing me for waking up sick and and having a cold sore.
****The front office staff is rude and does that thing where they keep stating the policies over and over again at you as if you didn't hear them the first time.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dawn P.Southwest, Denver, CO01May 10, 2023
I was scheduled for a root canal and thought that the price given to me two months ago was agreed upon. Instead, of agreeing to what was quoted, I had to pay more and I also went home with more mouth pain after the procedure.

Wonderful dentist and team. Dr Rojas is making my teeth straight with Invisalign and the subtle changes in my teeth have reduced my unconscious teeth grinding at nighttime. This has given me comfort that I didn't know I could have in the past. He is also willing to answer my questions which involve 'whys and hows'. In the past I couldn't understand how anyone in a free-market capitalistic society could choose to be a dentist. But Dr Rojas makes the art of teeth fascinating. He clearly is passionate about his profession!

In my first visit with this dental office, the staff was condescending and rude about me smoking cigarettes. They also spent an unordinate amount of time trying to sell me things that were overpriced and not covered by my insurance.
I was given an estimate of services for fillings that told me my cost would be about 33 dollars per tooth and was told explicitly that they called my insurance to verify coverage. They LIED. My insurance only covered silver fillings, which they failed to mention that increased my costs by almost $50 per tooth. They never mentioned this nor gave me an option to choose between a silver or resin filling.
I asked to speak to billing multiple times to discuss why I was being charged more than $200 more than what they quoted and was told the billing representative wasn't in the office and was told she would call me back, but she never did. This went on for months. Instead they sent my account to collections without ever explaining why I was being charged extra for a "optional" service they never told me was optional. If you need any work done outside of routine cleanings, expect them to charge you at least double and never tell you why.
When I had my fillings done, the Dr Rojas incorrectly imprinted my teeth causing excruciating pain. I was told to wait to fix these until my next appointment 2 weeks later when I was scheduled to get the other side done and was unable to eat anything beside luke warm soups because the pain was so intense. Even after he "fixed" them, they were still very painful for the next month or so and I was told this was normal and to just stick it out. I have had fillings done at other dentists and have not had any pain that lasted longer than 1 day. This pain lasted 2 months.
The only plus I can give them is that the lady who cleaned my teeth on the first visit was very nice and both her and Dr Rojas seemed very knowledgeable. That small plus is not enough for me to ever consider using this practice again.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Kayla J.CO, CO01May 27, 2022
I have visited this dentist and brought my kids here once. I have absolutely no complaints about the work that was done but I am absolutely disgusted about how I was spoken to when I took my daughter in to get a filling. Before the visit my daughter kept telling me how scared she was for this and she was very scared it was going to hurt. We arrived at the office and she got very nervous. I asked her if she wanted me to see if she could use the gas to help relax her since she was almost in tears. She shook her head yes. I asked the nurse if she could use it and saw them start to bring it in then heard someone in the back say no wait and they took it out. I was slightly confused as to why they did this but didn't think much of it. The dr then comes in and basically just starts giving my dr the injection. I am holding onto her hand and talking to her telling her it's ok and how good she is doing. She did great. My daughter stepped out of the room for a minute and the dr came in and told me he needed to talk to me. He proceeded to tell me that I needed to relax because she was feeding off of me and that if I could not relax I could wait in the waiting room. I told him it had nothing to do with me that my daughter was scared and I was telling her it was going to be ok. She came back in the room and at this point I was so angry and upset that first of all they completely ignored my daughters needs because she was scared and basically made her suck it up. Then after she was all done he told my daughter good job then looked at me and told me good job too. He was so completely condescending to me and I will never return here for how my daughter and myself were treated and for how I was spoken to. I should be able to advocate for my daughter and felt completely disrespected. Also the only reason this review has three stars is because leaving anything less than a three star review is blocked by the owner.
