Mondongo's Restaurant

The food was very good and the service was finely done to be honest the food wasn't that hot to me it look like it was heated in the microwave oven and it wasn't fresh meat. That's my opinion otherwise it's OK.

This is my favorite Colombian restaurant in Broward and Dade. Service was immediate and the food less than 5 mins. I was impressed. Limited menu but that's good. They don't complicate themselves. Prices competitive. I will be back. Food was great...Todo muy bueno El servicio perfecto y la comida rica.

I see I am not the only one that has made this complaint about this restaurant. We were recommended this place highly by a friend. When I got there I wanted a typical Bandeja Paisa with Steak instead of the ground beef as they have on menu. I was told I could not substitute. I was more than willing to pay more as this is always the option in Columbian restaurants. However I was flat out told no. Even if I paid more. I was perplexed as the restaurant was not even half full on Friday night. You would think they'd want the extra money. Nope. The ground beef was dry. I ate everything as I was starving. The food is good and fresh. But I wanted the steak. Not going back.

I can't believe this place doesn't have salad options, and they can change the sides on your plate, you can't eat what you want!!! Shame for the management team of this place I won't recommended and I will not go again!! Ever!!!

Oh this place is wonderful!!! Great Columbian cuisine!! The menu is not large but the Mondongo is really great!! And save some room for dessert and cafe!!

For all of you uneducated people. Mondongos is great, people are complaining there is not a lot of options well that's the beauty of the place even the Mondongos restaurant in Colombia is the same thing. The mondongo is amazing! So if you want "salad" and other cuisines go somewhere else.

They had great service yet there wasn't various amounts of traditional Colombian foods such as fish and other plates also the drinks were watered down

Service here is good ! As far as the food ummmmm... not so good. This Colombian restaurant is lacking spice. If you enjoy bland food then this is the stop for you. We flew in from Chicago and the experience was not quite what we expected. We were very disappointed. This was Colombian food at its worst.

If you have teenage boys and need to do some carbo-loading - this is the place. $17 steak dinner includes a hanger steak, tomato, avocado, fried plantain, rice, beans, corn cake, very simple and filling. I had the Antiquion special with the soup $15-16 and it has the ground beef, the fat back, the egg. fried plantain, rice, beans, etc. Here's what I think a lot of people don;t get, you need to add the spices to the meal. Like you add lime juice, chilis, salt to the soup to your taste. Same with the meal. It is tough to figure out and the wait staff are a little cautious in answering your questions - 1) the don't fully understand, and 2) they don't want to inadvertently insult you. Look at how the locals are eating it or bring a Colombian friend with you. It is hearty food.

I'm Colombian and this seems like the type of food they make half fast then put it on a nice/pretty plate. It's more about the "it's Colombian food" just to say you had it. The portions are small and it just seems plain/bland.
