Mother Earth. Juice bar and Health foods

Mother Earth Juice Bar is a gem in the Kew Gardens neighborhood. I absolutely love this place. I'm so glad I stopped by out of curiosity last year. I'm glad because it's the only juice bar in the neighborhood and it's ONLY health spot we have.

Being that we are still in a pandemic it's helpful to have some place we can go to for herbs, teas, healthy juices, and food that's not processed.
The owner, Dr. Lorde (and the entire staff) are super helpful when it comes to picking out what to drink or eat. If I'm low-energy they'll always have a healthy option to pep me up.

If you are in the Kew Gardens neighborhood I suggest stopping in for a number of reasons:

1 - If you are heading to Forest Park to walk/run/bike/jog or exercise in general. Stop here before exercising for a smoothie, juice, or even a power shot (ginger/lemon/turmeric). You'll need the energy.
2 - If you are feeling under the weather, try to knock it out the natural way. The staff will help if you need suggestions on teas to help. In no way am I suggesting this over medicine but I generally try to go the natural route first.
3 - If you are looking for a Caribbean dish (there are NONE in this area of Metropolitan Ave/Lefferts) this is the spot to go for patties, fish, curry chicken or stew chicken.

Here's what I've tried and suggest when ordering from here:

Juices: Energy Booster (Carrots, beets, pear, lemon, raspberry) and Liver Tonic (Ginger, radish, beet, carrot, apple, turmeric)

Smoothies: Man Man Power (Irish Moss, Peanuts, Hemp Milk), and VIP Smoothie (Almond milk, peanut butter, banana and honey)

Lunch/Dinner: Salmon Plate w/ spinach and brown stew chicken.

I'll definitely be visiting this health store when I need a pick me up or a taste of some stew chicken.

I just love this place. The salmon on Friday and Saturday's is a must. I live pretty far but if I'm in the area, I always go. The food is insanely good and I always feel like I'm doing something good for my body while eating from there. So glad places like this still exist. The books, teas and supplements are great too but that food!!!! It's everything your body is craving.

All the flavor in my mouth. Happy soul happy belly. Good people. Better than Netflix and chill is tasty and chill- which is what they are serving up here. Yum!

I love this place! I'm a regular here, we rely on their healthy food weekly and it feels like family every time we come in.
I normally get 2 platters, one with Brown Stew Chicken and one with Curry Chicken. My favorite juice is the Digestive Delight! Perfectly gingery and sweetened with pineapple. My husband is obsessed with their patties and always gets an Immune Power Juice.

If you're considering trying this place, it will not disappoint!

Stopped in yesterday to pick up several juices & smoothies and a lentil soup. It's hard finding places that offer juice cleanses, but I peeped their menu and decided to put something together. The prices are so reasonable too! .

When I came for pickup, everything was ready. The place is cute with lots of seating & background music. There's also a bench outside. Very clean as well. Took some pics of the supplements they offer. The juices/smoothies - so delish! Pleasant staff & manager. Will gladly return!

I had some time to kill and a hunger to sate before my flight, so I stopped by Mother Earth around 6pm for a quick dinner. On the recommendation of the staff, I ordered the Stew Chicken with mixed veggies and rice ($10, but check in on Yelp for 20% off!).

WOW. The portion size was ridiculous. I got a solid 6-7 chunks of chicken on a bed of rice and then generously topped with a mix of cabbage, carrots, and broccoli. This one plate is enough to fill me for two meals. The chicken was wonderfully moist, well-marinated, and basically fell off the bone to make for a great, delicious bite. The marinade is well-balanced with the rice and veggies.

The place itself is a humble little shop that specializes in health and wellness. There's seating by the windows and near the front by the TV. When I was there Thursday evening, I had the seating area to myself. I'm not normally in this area, but if I ever need a quick dinner before a flight, I definitely want to try the curry chicken as well!

Second time here and it was a total disappointment. Thought maybe the first time was a one off but No it was not. Music was too loud, the workers were not pleasant and the drinks were not what they advertised. My drink had celery and something else in it that was not advertised on the menu. It was a sharp distasteful water down version not worthy of Kew Gardens. Also my drink had no strawberries and it was supposed to have strawberries. Save your money and run away from this place. You can probably do better at home on your own. Do not even think the fruit was organic!

Today I was in the neighborhood trying to find a bathroom. It's early and most restaurants are closed. I just happened to walk by this cafe. I asked the ladies working there if I could use their bathroom but promised I would buy something from them. Out of my surprise, they were extremely friendly and welcoming. I looked around and found many interesting stuff there but I was in a hurry to an appointment. I bought a muffin from them. Wow, that's heavenly delicious! I am so happy I found this place. I am definitely coming back to try more of their stuff especially the drinks. Looking at others' reviews and just how friendly the people at the cafe are, I bless this cafe and wish you continue to do well because you treat every customer like a neighbor with love and warmth.

OH MY GOODNESS. Sorry, I just finished the bake and saltfish and I'm in utter awe. My mom (of course ) and I went there for breakfast and got the energy juice as well as a caffeine free chamomile and lavender tea. We got one bake and salt fish,

Total was $16 well worth it (saw the yelp coupon afterwards )

It smells heavenly as soon as you enter and everything is 100% fresh and delicious! One bake and salt fish was sufficient for my mom and myself, although we will come back to indulge in lunch very soon!

New healthy option in KG. Cant believe it!
