The cutest hidden gem in Fremont! It's a tiny little door sandwiched between two larger buildings, and truly looks like a little fairy hideout from an imaginative world. The actual space is very small, almost a little cramped, but you kind of don't notice it because of all the unique decorations.
The mead flights are so yummy, and only $14 for a flight of 6 tasters. The menu is color coded based off sweetness level, and as I love a good sweet drink, I obviously opted for all the sweeter options. I love that you get to sample so many different types, and enjoy the mead in a cozy atmosphere with your date or friends!
When you leave, it feels like you've been pushed through the doorway from Wonderland, back to the dreary Seattle streets, wondering when you'll be back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

I simply couldn't walk past this cute colorful exterior without walking in! I'd never tried mead but love honey and wine so thought this might be right up my alley. Jon, the bartender, was absolutely delightful, offering suggestions and taking time to explain all things mead to me and my group of 4. I ended up trying a flight of 6, and having so much fun tasting, shared another flight of 4 with a friend. The playlist was awesome, just great vibes all around really. I ended up taking a growler home of my favorite mead. Make sure you visit the bathroom-- it's magical! This was such a great find and can't wait to return. I'm officially a mead fan!

Just what they need to boost business, yet another 5 star review. Tiny little bar with a few tables and, from what I gather, the largest Meade assortment in the free world. Grab a flight or a bottle, chill out and enjoy. But no matter what you do, make sure you use the bathroom; it's spectacular.

This place is super cute and I love how it's tucked away downstairs between other buildings. The service was great. It's very small but there was outdoor seating with heat lamps. Great place to grab a drink to start the night! They also had NA options, which is always appreciated.

Have been a fan of this meadery since it first opened a couple of years ago. We stumbled upon this place because of its cute entrance. After stepping in, we were just in awe of how cute the shop is.
The owner Brandon is super nice and friendly, and he shared with us the story of how he started making & selling meads. We love the variety of flavors and our favorites are rose and lavender. If you'd like to try different ones - you can get a flight and pick 6 from the menu. They also have an option for you to get a bottle to bring home.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 3251013254Aug 9, 2023
We stopped in while enjoying some Fremont time -- after noticing someone stumble out and realizing the door went somewhere. They were about to close but the bartender said they would stay open if we wanted a drink, so we went in, enjoyed a DELICIOUS fizzy fermented honey drink, took a few blurry but fun pics in the colorful whimsy of their dollhouse-sized space, chatted a bit about tarot Tuesdays and other things with the bartender, and went happily on our way, pleased with someone going the extra mile to make our night!
Bottom line: I love this gem and will be back. Perhaps for tarot and finding out what my next chapter holds. Not with a large group (there is zero space) but for a large and lovely time!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 26, 2023
Have you ever walked by the random yellow door in Fremont, between Rudy's Barber Shop and Nuna Ramen? I have, and one day I read what it said on the door. "Mr. B's Meadery."
I vowed to one day return, when that door opened.
And I did. And it was kinda magical.
We walked down a narrow staircase and to the right was the entrance to a small & dark bar- but the bright colors made it inviting. It had a slightly mysterious and funky vibe.
The worker had just opened the place up so we were the only ones there. This would normally make me feel awkward, but the worker was so easy to chat with.
We ordered a flight of six and sat outside because the staircase/patio was strangely just so pleasant. All the meads were delicious! You can see which we tried, pictured below.
OH! And the bathroom is epic... perhaps one of the most epic I have ever seen. You will understand when you show up.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Apr 3, 2023
We stumbled upon this cool little mead bar in the Fremont area of Seattle.
It's literally a colorful door on the block that transports you to this wild and wacky bar that serves mead.
The bartender was so funny and cool. He really brought to life our Seattle experience.
My favorite was the Unicorn. I'm a sucker for sparkling drinks.
The decor was fun and so unique. I could see this as my neighborhood spot if I lived in Seattle.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - Apr 2, 2023
I've been meaning to try out this place and I finally got the chance to try it out. This place is super cozy and cute, I love the decor!
We got to sit at the bar and the owners were so friendly! TBH mead is not my thing, I'm not a huge fan honey flavor mixed with alcohol flavor. The sparkling mead was very refreshing though!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0 - May 15, 2023
Best mead I've ever had and tried!
My friends and I found this place next to a ramen place we ate at. It had a tiny sign and we followed it downstairs where we found this hidden gem.
The person serving us (sorry I forgot his name) was an absolute pleasure. He told us the background of mead, where the mead comes from, the history of the place, and let us sample some.
It was delicious. We got the sweeter meads because the bitter ones were, well, bitter. It was an intimate setting with only 5-7 seats and couple tables.
Would definitely recommend for a place to drink mead or even a date night place!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
