Multi air is fast, honest, detailed, fairly priced, and prompt. My old style wall heater finally died and within a few days I had an inspection, a quote, and a brand new installation. They worked quickly and cleaned up any sign of their worksite before leaving (crumbly plaster walls) which was so appreciated. They knew everything about the older heater systems and didn't try to upsell me or scare me into a new setup like other companies did. Highly recommend them!

I called Ricardo to look at my 95 year old mother in law's upstairs AC, which went out. (He fixed her heater last year.) He is extremely busy right now with the heat wave, but found some time to take a look. As I suspected, the whole system had pretty much "expired" (installed 39 years ago!).
I can't express how happy I was to see him. Although his diagnosis for our "patient" was terminal, he gave me some good suggestions to get us through the current situation until we can get a more permanent solution in the fall.
He is THE GUY!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Nov 28, 2022Previous reviewMy 95 year old mother in law's heater stopped working in her +80 year old home. I checked Yelp and found Ricardo at Multi Air Service and read all his 5 star ratings. I called him and although he was very busy, he came the next day to diagnose the problem. He was methodical in analyzing the problem and determined it was a bad circuit board. He ordered it and was able to install it a few days later. I could not be happier! What a great experience to find someone who is a professional, follows through, and does what he says he is going to do! All at a fair price! He is a really nice guy also!

Answered his phone on a Sunday. Being a business I was so grateful for that. He was able to come the next day. Came and texted when he said he was going to and was able to fox the A/C in 2 hours at a reasonable price. Thank you so much Ricardo! Appreciate you!

Ricardo at Multi Air Service is simply THE BEST!!! I am in disbelief at how amazing Ricardo truly is. I called him on the New Years Holiday and not only did he call back within minutes, he also came out the SAME DAY and FIXED an issue that I have been having for several months!
Just like my fellow Yelpers have described, Ricardo explained the "why" and "what" he planned to do and even showed me prior to fixing the issue with my heater. It's worked better than it has ever worked before. If I had known Ricardo before I had other Heating & Air Technicians, I could have bought myself a nicer Christmas present with the money I would have saved, lol.
Ricardo is simply THE BEST!!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lee S.Pasadena, CA02817Sep 9, 2022
What's the last thing you want in life? Broken AC when it's 110º outside?
Car dies in the middle of the desert?
Forgot your wallet when the check comes for dinner?
Well, I had the first one happen to me this week and it was miserable. It was 110º outside, and 97º inside. We have an old home (1906) and there are few walls that are properly insulated. I always stress this time of year knowing AC can die at any time, and it did.
I looked through the ads here, and we always try to use local, small businesses - especially since the last two years have destroyed so many of them.
Ricardo texted me very quickly after I asked for a quote here. He stated that he would try to get to me to look the same day, which in and of itself a miracle. He continued texting me throughout the day, giving me his status, even though he was swamped.
Later in the day, he texted saying he was on his way after finishing one small job. He arrived and I showed him the unit. We sat and talked while he opened it up and started cleaning the usual spider webs, etc., from the condenser case.
Ricardo then replaced one or two small pieces in the unit and put the cover back on.
I hesitated but was excited to go inside to flip the switch. I was hesitant because I feared it would still not work...
Well, guess what, it did! I mean, it was like the best Xmas gift I've ever received, and it's only September :)
Needless to say I would never hesitate for one second to recommend Ricardo to anyone, or use him again. He never once tried to upsell or otherwise scam me while I was clearly in desperation, which as we all know, happens a lot.
I got lucky - real lucky that my first contact turned out to be amazing!
If you need HVAC assistance, don't hesitate. While I wouldn't guarantee he will always be able to see you same-day, I trust he'll do his best to do so. He's not a 9-5 guy.
Use small and local businesses people. Chains are not good and don't help our local community.
Best to you Ricardo! I'm a big fan...no pun intended. ;)Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jenny K.South Pasadena, CA03Nov 17, 2022
I wish I could give Ricardo ten stars! I called him Saturday morning and he was able to come out to my house towards the end of his work day. He was incredibly friendly, respectful, and knowledgeable, definitely an expert in his domain. He was able to diagnose my weird rooftop combination AC/furnace and order a replacement circuit board. Once the part arrived, he came back and did the repair, patched up a few cracks in the casing, and even pulled out a few small trees growing out of my gutters, haha.
And most importantly, my heat is working! His rates were super fair and reasonable, and he was a pleasure to work with. Oh, and he sent me texts with pictures of what he was working on while he was doing it. Since my unit is on the roof and my air filter is in the attic, I really appreciated that. I would hire Ricardo again in a heartbeat.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mike T.Glendale, Los Angeles, CA02218Sep 2, 2022
Our air conditioner was leaking. Called several places, with no luck. Eventually I called Multi Air Service. Spoke to Ricardo. He came over the same afternoon. Fixed the problem right away. He is very professional, responsive, and prompt. Overall it was an amazing experience. I would definitely recommend this business.

I've spoken with Ricardo three times now regarding a project I need to do at my rental property. Ricardo is super nice, very patient with all of my detailed questions, a great communicator, responsive and VERY knowledgeable. He took the time to outline what he would do and why he would do it, to educate me and put me at ease (since I had so many questions). He even took the time (when he was out to give me the estimate) to look at another piece of equipment, and to give me some tips as to how to make it more efficient and increase its longevity. I look forward to using his company for our project!

While I haven't yet had occasion to hire Multi Air Service for a job, the encounter I just had with the owner, Ricardo, gave me a good deal of insight into what kind of person he is and, I think I can say with some confidence, into what kind of service he provides to his customers.
I was in need of a 3' long piece of flex duct for a simple DIY job. I wasn't eager to buy a 25' box of the stuff, because what was I going to do with the other 22'? Throw it in the trash? Then I had the bright idea (it happens, rarely) to call an HVAC service, on the theory that they might have some leftover pieces from installation/repair jobs. I called Multi Air, and Ricardo said he would check to see what he had and get back to me. True to his word, he texted me back, and not only did he have exactly what I needed, but he also delivered it to my home, right when he said he would! And, incredibly, he did all this without any expectation of receiving anything in return. (I did offer him a little bit of money--in retrospect too little. Sorry, Ricardo!) On top of all of this, he made a very professional, personable impression. What more could anyone ask for?
Based on my experience with him today, I know whom I'm calling if and when I'm in need of HVAC service or repair. Thank you, Ricardo!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
