I used "My Auction Addiction" as a buyer and as a seller. I'm impressed at what they actually do besides selling and putting those sales together. People are always friendly, and yes sometimes you have to wait in line to get your items, but this is okay, we all stand in line for other services also.
This team is professional and very helpful!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Marcy B.Rio Rancho, NM42191Jan 22, 2022
Worst estate sale company ever. They had customers stealing, they had no control over the crowd, they were unprepared and they were extremely unprofessional. They even damaged personal property which cost $10,000 to repair. It is hard to believe they are still in business. I regret as does my family, ever having hired them. They are a major ripoff and don't deserve one star.

Disappointing: the items and ease of use of their website is light years ahead of the customer service you'll receive after you buy the items. Nothing like standing in line forever while the service personnel take a break after each person, play favorites by taking people they know as they show up instead of the people who have been waiting for 30+ mins in their lobby. They don't answer emails and when you mention a lack of communication, they get snarky immediately. Unimpressed.

I found this to be the best option for my 3 generational estate sale. The company comes in and photographs and catalogs all the items you want to sell. The items are placed online for bidding. Then people come on pickup day, with invoice in hand, to pickup the items they purchased. It's so much easier than those estate sale companies that take 3 days, kick you out of your house, and have people coming and going constantly stealing and breaking your stuff. Was it perfect? No. Some items were overlooked and a few items that weren't for sale got sold. But, believe me, it is a thousand times better than those 3-day free-for-all estate sale companies. I will definitely use them again for moving, down-sizing, or estate sales. I recommend them to all my friends and acquaintances.

Have used this service both as a buyer and seller.
Mom in law passed away and we needed the house cleared out to sell. Lloyd responded quickly and got things started. Auction pickup was orderly and well organized.
As a buyer, I find the inventory well priced and pictures/descriptions clearly illustrated.
This is a great company and recommend it to everyone.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tammy M.Los Lunas, NM011Sep 15, 2020
My aunt buys stuff from here, but lately, she has been complaining that most of the stuff is not described properly. This has been happening for some time now, but she is basically fed up with it. Today, she was looking at a Ford F-150 that is for sale at www.albuquerqueauctionaddiction.com. The description states that the Ford is a 1994 model (and according to the VIN that is posted, it does come back to a 1994 Ford F-150) but the pictures posted, you can clearly see the F150 is not a 1994, its more like a 1979. That is just one example of many things that are described incorrectly.
Another thing that is bothersome is that this place fails to give measurements, model numbers, or other important information on things that are being sold.
My uncle bought a trailer from them and they gave him the wrong title for the trailer. The title he was given was for a 1973 trailer but the trailer was a 1985 or late 80s model.
It's just very stressful dealing with this place. Advice: stay away from this place and just shop elsewhere. You have been warned!!
Does the picture of the F150 look like a 1994? More like a 1979!

My relationship with them goes back 4+ years, and they just can't seem to deliver the service. Great concept...poor execution. I hope they get this under control soon, as the business model has great potential.
I've used this company in two capacities as a seller, and as a buyer. As a seller downsizing, they did a good job for two of our downsizing sales, although they are disorganized, and sometimes unprofessional. The prices received from the auction were typical for most NM auctions...the buyers tend to be resellers, with few end buyers - meaning low prices. Most auction houses do not do effective marketing. It is what it is.
I also referred them to a few clients that hired them...my followup with those customers yielded "meh" comments, and that taught me to not send them any more referrals.
From a buyer of auction items that they offer...they are not consistent on item descriptions. They have a lack of command for the English language...several item titles are misspelled, which can make searching by key words a challenge. What is supposed to be a quick review of items I am interested in buying, means I need to scour the online catalog to find items the key word search doesn't catch.
Several items have been downright in unacceptable condition, which they did not disclose, and oftentimes, what was disclosed as New In The Box (NIB) was actually with box, and in broken condition, or with missing parts. Several items had serious water damage and mold, which was easily found on the items...yet, not disclosed in the item descriptions. The owners did not take accountable actions, and instead put the blame on their employee(s).
As a reseller, I did fine with the majority of the items I bid and won, and the poor descriptions did not cripple my business...just annoyed and I would have expected much better from them. They have fallen to an unacceptable performance level during the last 18 months.
They will likely reply that I was upset with them not picking up items from a recent long distance auction, and that is not the case at all. For out of town auctions, they usually have other buyers that can bring things back for other buyers. We've helped in that role several times. Also, they might suggest I was unhappy with prices bought as a reseller...I purchase between $2,000 to $3,800 per month in inventory from several auction venues, and theirs was a VERY small fraction of my monthly purchasing...primarily due to poor quality.
When you buy items online, you do not have the opportunity to inspect it before buying (other than photos and descriptions). If they are to continue building a loyal fan base with repeat buyers, they need to pay attention to the details, and not sell stuff that could be misleading with condition issues, or unhealthy to handle.
We wish them the best in figuring it out.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1 - Bngo B.Albuquerque, NM01Aug 31, 2017
Great concept and business model but poorly executed. Husband and wife team that should consider playing to their strengths instead of dividing work down the middle. The wife, Esther, is far better suited to deal with the public which leaves Lloyd to do the behind the scenes technical work. Errr, well maybe not the website, please stop with the website. I am an art and antique dealer in the area and have purchased a few times over the past year and am continually shocked that they are still in business. The website is an absolute monstrosity and bidding on items is like throwing darts in the dark. Most of the time photos are unclear and descriptions are lacking. The bidding is cumbersome and the whole thing has a 1990s early eBay feel.
I want them to succeed because Albuquerque needs a good inclusive estate class, unfortunately this duo is not up to the challenge. Mainly the cocky attitude and ignorance is what is driving this company to failure. They claim to do the research to price items correctly but every single item I have purchased was incorrectly identified and severely undervalued. Although this has been to my benefit I feel badly for the owners being short changed by laziness and ignorance. When I have questioned items in the past, hinting at a possible higher value, I have been rudely told that I do not know what I am talking about. That is why the same item purchased for $20 is then sold in one of my clients gallery for several thousand. I write this review to shed light to future consignors to go ahead and do business just do your own research and make sure some blowhard doesn't undervalue your family's heirlooms.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

I've used this company about 4 times and never do they seem to have their act together. First I completely agree with reviewer Harry. Learn to use spell check or hire someone who can. If you need to look something up with their 'search' bar you better be able to misspell exactly as they do or not find it. Secondly the condition you get things in is rather shoddy . Either broken or dirty or both. They do sometimes remark about broken items but pictures could be better since this is the selling device. This last auction did me in though. I live 20 miles out of town(not their fault) so when I have to travel to the other end of the city my expectation is to have things correct. I come prepared with my receipt and anything I need to pick my items up. This occasion I walked in and the first thing was another customer telling me nothing was tagged so I would have to find help to retrieve my purchase. I found my purchase on my own and found help to verify. Problem was someone had helped themselves to half my order! And it was the half I had specifically bid for...Lloyd did not care and his help was nice but clearly overwhelmed. The lack of oversight and accountability is disheartening. I agree with others the business model is positive but the execution is slap happy and negligent.

Dropped my stress level several notches, needed to get everything out of my apartment in four weeks. They came in, inventoried my items that I was not moving, uploaded and away things went. I didn't have to rent a truck, find people to help me load and unload, no garage sales. They guaranteed everything would be gone and it was. ... Made enough money to buy some new furniture on the other end. Friendly folks... stress free..
