I've brought my mom to several of her appointments. Each time the staff has been very professional, patient, and kind. I'd highly recommend.

I was sent from the dentist (Dr.Kathy) at Nelson Ridge to an oral surgeon for what I was told was an abnormality. When I went to the oral surgeon, he immediately looked at both X-ray images that the dentist sent me with and identified this "abnormality" as my chin bone. He said they took the image from slightly different angles, which made the difference in color slightly different. To further prove the point, he also did a 3D X-ray, which confirmed it was indeed just my chin bone. He said there was nothing actually wrong or concerning with the X-ray to begin with.
I now have a $540 bill from the surgeon to be told I have a chin.
I find it alarming and frustrating that the doctor couldn't tell the difference from a chin bone to a growth or abnormality.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

HI Caitlin, I am sorry that the there was a miscommunication about your case. I believe this has already been addressed personally with you and everything was taken care of. As always, we really do strive for 100% satisfaction. I, as well as the other doctors at the practice, all agreed with the referral and we feel badly that the surgeon gave the impression that was given, I believe he was looking at the incorrect area and this has been taken care of. I'm glad everything turned out to be alright! When we see something that concerns us, we always error on the side of better safe than sorry as things that appeared on x-rays that don't belong can be a symptom of serious things. I hope you can understand. Thanks for being a patient at the office! We would love if you were satisfied with how we handled your issue, if you wouldn't mind updating your review. Though we do everything in our power to make sure every patient is happy, sometimes things happen and we drop the ball, but we always do everything to make it right and if you feel differently still, we would love to hear about it and come up with something. Just moved to the area from the city and just had my first appointment at this dental practice! Highly recommend them! They called me in a few minutes early for my appointment, we're very friendly, and knowledgeable and efficient with their work. Very modern and clean offices too!

Tried to schedule an appointment and sent a message but I never heard back. But maybe it's for the best because it looks like they're more concerned with patient numbers than patient care.

Hi Stephanie, I promise you if we received a message we would have responded. That is a big part of our office and one of our core values is "Integrity", meaning we do what we say we will do and are available for our patients. I would love to know where you sent the message, because I am guessing there is an issue with something on our website or where ever the messages are going and I would love to find it so it can be rectified. Our phones always work as well, you can text us too. Not sure if that was considered when you didn't receive a response. I assure we are more concerned about our patients' well being and experience with our office than our "patient numbers."

One ma'am when i called to explain the pain I've been in since my filling she gave me an attitude which I was taken a back from because they're usually so nice. My hygienist is the absolute best. If anything she's the reason I still go there!!!

Terrible, patronizing beings.
The pregnant lady is nice.
Everyone else is honestly fake as hell sadly.
They seem to not really care for people of color.

Hello Kevin, I am sad to hear that you did not enjoy our experience at our office. Over our 9 years open, we have over 1500 five star reviews on the web, and this is now our 3rd 1 star review.
There are no fake people on this team. I honestly believe that there isn't a nicer group of people more committed to what we do anywhere else.
As for your comments of "not caring for people of color", we are extremely offended. Also that you say it is an "area thing". To us, that sounds rather prejudicial that you would blanket statement a group of people for where they live.
Again, I feel bad that you had a bad experience. Nothing is more important to us than taking care of everyone in our community. We have always tried to make right whenever we have wronged someone, but in this case I'm afraid we cannot. I hope you find someone who can provide dental care to your standards, because we want you to have the care that you deserve. NRFD's practice is a bit more comprehensive in their approach to dental hygiene than most. While I don't anticipate the documentation (photos/extensive note taking) related to my initial visit to be replicated; it's good to know they've established a baseline for my evolving dental health. It goes without saying but their staff was very thorough in their cleaning (and didn't scold me too hard for not flossing!).
The receptionist was personal and the office was anything but stale. Most importantly, because getting teeth cleaned sucks, the hygienist went out of her way to ensure comfort.

Very nice and efficient. I broke a tooth on Sunday called first thing Monday I was in the chair by 11:00 and had a new crown in and done by 1:30.

Fantastic place! Dr. Kathy and rest of staff are terrific..I go to the dentist a lot..just one of those lucky folks who is prone to teeth problems.
I came from a dentist that never answers their phone makes you wait forever, was completely disorganized in their billing process and had an outdated and ugly office...Nelson ridge was the complete opposite! Always answer the phone, gets you in right away for urgent matters and always very friendly!
Dr. Kathy is a wonderful dentist! She is very careful to make sure nothing she's doing is hurting..very good at explaining things and helping make a good plan for what issue to focus on next...my mouth needs a lot of tlc like I said and I won't go anywhere else.
Lastly the place looks like a spa! Nice chairs, TVs on the ceiling for crying out loud! bottled water and coffee...if you hated going to the dentist all your life, then come here...they will change your point of view about seeing the dentist!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Probably the best experience at a dental office I have ever had. The staff was extremely nice, walking me through everything they were doing and explaining why they are doing it. Extremely detailed and technology focused. After taking x-rays and pictures they take the time to walk through what they see and what needs to be checked more thoroughly. TV's mounted on the wall and ceiling so you can watch TV as you are getting worked on. They also take the time to walk through your benefit plan and what costs if any you may incur before any services are provided. They also have extended hours which is great. Definitely an A+ practice!
