Nicholls Of Parkgate

Can't wait for the warmer weather so that we can go up to Parkgate for the best ice cream ever.
It's nice to go there after we have had a meal along at the Old Quay.
The best of both world within a few hundred yards.
A walk along the parade and you don't feel guilty about the calories you have consumed.

This place, famous for its ice cream goes from strength to strength. You may have to park some distance away on a fine day, but despite there sometimes being queues, there always seem to be employed sufficient staff to minimise waiting time. Excellent ice cream in many flavours!

Nicholl's of Parkgate is been famous for their delicious home-made ice cream and quite rightly so! Summer or winter, visitors flock to Parkgate for an ice cream. Best eaten sitting on the edge of the sea wall admiring the vista across the Dee estuary to the Welsh Hills beyond although winter visitors can be spotted huddled in their cars enjoying their cone! Fantastic assortment of delicious flavours and you can combine scoops of different flavours to create your own concoction. Long queues outside the shop in summer are testament to how delicious Nicholls' ice cream is! The shop also sells sweets and quality confectionary and a useful selection of books on walks and places of local interest.

Go for a walk down to Parkgate and stop of at Nicholls famous for its HOMEMADE ICE CREAM its DELICOUS you wont have tasted anything like it and there are loads of variety mine is Rum and Raisin or Toffee in the summer there is normally a queue outside the shop even though they have about 8 staff serving so it speaks for itself. If you are not a fan of ice cream they have a good selection of handmade great quality chocolates you can indulge in instead and then you can have a good walk along the parade in Parkgate too walk all the calories of then you wont feel so guilty for having the ice cream or chocs!!!!
