After years of having so many shirts come back looking old, and collars weird after only one cleaning, I STILL go here a bit! Yeah, I know, glutton for punishment. LOVE convenience, even at the expense of bad service at times. So close to my house.
They've always been VERY nice to me when I bring up the collar issue, but it just happened AGAIN. Brand new shirt, laundered ONCE. Got it back and the collar looks far older than it should. Has that strange shine from being pressed with something TOO HOT.
Showed the woman working there (again, very nice). She noticed as well, and confirmed it was pressed too hot. Said in the future they will do everything by hand instead of by machine. Think it's two or three extra dollars. I imagine there's gotta be another place that can do standard dry cleaning on this type of typical shirt, not have to pay extra, and not get back a shirt that automatically looks aged.
Unfortunately now I have my favorite brand new shirt that looks older than it should. Like my other shirts I've brought there. Shame.
ps. Awesome customer service tip would be to make up for the damage by offering some type of free cleaning, or better yet, reimburse for the shirt.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Sep 8, 2014Previous reviewSO convenient but anytime I try them again they STILL mangle the collars. What the heck? Horrible.
Aug 17, 2011Previous reviewI know a lot of people like this place but I must say, they have ruined so many of my shirts. The shirts are generally textured (not just a flat cotton) and I'm sure are challenging to clean. That being said, I don't want them to instantly look old and worn out from the very first cleaning. Terrible.
Also, on the few standard cotton shirts I would bring them... I'd always get them back with the left side of the collar being pressed in such a way that it looks/sits totally different from the right side. Never seen anything like that from any cleaners before.
I'm looking for another place now. Cost me a fortune in ruining really nice shirts I've bought over the last few years. Shame. - Cole C.Manchester-by-the-Sea, MA03Jul 27, 2018
This place is amazing! It is the best place to go for dry cleaning me and my friends go to there all the time. The service is amazing and it is very quick. I would recommend this to any and all of my friends

The staff at the Manchester branch of Nor-east Cleaners is excellent. I love the fact the
cleaners also has a tailoring service. I would highly recommend their services.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - A H.San Francisco, CA039Sep 3, 2013
Generally good service. We use them frequently for delivery service.
One complaint though is holiday scheduling. During a holiday week they do not modify the delivery schedule from m/th or t/f even though they do NO deliveries on Wednesday and could potentially mange to continue service. They simply do NOT pick up.
Over time this situation becomes increasingly annoying. As customers we still manage to squeeze a normal work schedule into a shorter week. A small complaint.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Kim K.Boston, MA111Apr 14, 2010First to Review
I have mixed feelings about this store. On one hand, I've gotten great service from Nor'east Cleaners -- they beautifully matched a zipper replacement on my living room pillow, clean everything nicely, and are friendly. BUT - - they outsource their shoe repair, and the courier for that service lost my favorite pair of shoes. While it isn't their fault, we went back and forth for an entire month about reimbursing me, and this created some bad feelings on my part. When the manager said since my shoes weren't new, I should not be reimbursed for what I paid for them, I told her, it'll cost me a lot more than that to replace them now, and alot for for them in my lost business! Only then did they agree to pay for my missing shoes. And I've never gone back; I take my drycleaning elsewhere. Businesses should never let their customers absorb the uncertainty of a situation; that's their job and one of the reasons you do business with them. Bummer.
