What a great shop this is! There are all kinds of services offered: pedis, manis, a full barber shop and a complete beauty supply store. Walk ins are welcomed. The hours are amazing...8-8:00 on a Saturday? Woah.
I was amazed to even get a stylist when i called on a Saturday asking for a same day style/cut, but lucky for me Erika took me for the hour I preferred. She was very cordial and worked with me on the style I wanted. She when have me a first-timer discount. The normal process are very fair, too. I left a very happy customer and will definitely come back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Katherine L.San Antonio, TX0246Aug 14, 2016
Called on a whim to add layers to my hair and was seen within 10 minutes. Jamie did fabulous work with my hair. She let me know that my previous cut (from a different salon) wasn't straight and described how she would fix it. She flat ironed my hair very deliberately before adding in the layers I wanted. I have never had such a thorough cut in my life. She really took her time and made sure it was exactly what I wanted. The cut ended up better than I imagined. Definitely will be returning for regular cuts in the future.

I went to the Oh Nine Hair studio to use my Groupon and got a simple, basic trim for my long, straight hair. Easy, right? Yeah, pretty much. What set this place apart is how nice and natural the staff was. The girl that cut my hair, Melissa (I'm pretty sure), is one of the younger stylists there and was super sweet.
Cut and blow dry will run you $40. I think they told me a blow out is about $30. There is also a girl who does nails but only on certain days of the week, so be sure to call and find out.
Attached to the Oh Nine Hair Studio is a Beauty Supply store with tons of different brands and some pretty affordable hair accessories too. They also sell some random commercial stuff. On the other side of the Hair Studio is a Barber Shop which I can't review because I'm not a dude. :)Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Karen F.San Antonio, TX9414Apr 19, 2017
Decided to make a few significant changes in my hair and I am SOOOOOO glad that I went to Oh Nine. Jaime was amazing. She listened to me and to what I said as well as understanding what I meant. I showed her some pictures for general ideas and she was very straightforward that the pictures I showed her didn't represent the type of hair I have. The pictures were cute very short hairstyles where the individuals had straight and average to thin hair. I have curly/wavy and thick hair. She told me what would work with my hair and for the growth of my hair.
The cut was customized. No bland, one size fits all here. Jaime looked at what way my curls went, what a few cowlicks I have would do and she worked with the flow of the growth. As she cut she continually looked at how it would lay, spike and move. My cut will be pleasant to work with since I won't have to fight weird angles and such. There was no weird pressure to buy product. No droning chit chat or life story going on. A professional, custom meticulous hair cut with me in mind.
I would say I was a bit of a difficult customer in a I kind of knew what I wanted, kind of what I wanted it to do, open to suggestions, what do you think would work kind of way. Jaime was patient and helped me to get the cut I wanted. Thank you Jaime!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jessica M.Manhattan, KS04May 14, 2016
I just got my hair cut and styled and I loved how Angela did my hair. She did exactly what I wanted and gave me some tips about styling my hair. Great Job! I had to wait a little bit but it was worth the wait.

I've been getting my hair professionally cut and colored for over ten years now.
I've spent $50 for services, I've spent $350 for services.
I have thick and curly hair, so I understand that dealing with it can be difficult, but
this is the first time I have ever been 100% pleased with the final outcome.
Samantha at Oh Nine Hair Studio actually gave me exactly the look I had asked for, and the price was lower than what I was expecting. The girl rocked my locks!
I've never been happier with a salon experience!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Victoria W.San Antonio, TX01May 30, 2014
Followed Merector Oh Nine for mani / pedis, and met Samantha , who now does my hair.
Today was my third appointment with Samantha. Before touching my hair, she had me sit at her station to tell her what I thought about my last cut / color and what I wanted today. I asked if we could do soemthing so my dark auburn hair didn't fade to a brassy tone and to leave my hair as long as possible when trimming and shaping multiple layers because we have an outdoor family wedding in July and I need to wear my hair up.
I left completely satisfied. Sam used a different product / combination to give me color that should last 6 to 8 weeks, and just trimmed the back of my hair, noting that the layers were still in good shape.
I'm so happy to have found a hair expert who is creative and listens.
Mel's manicures (using Creative Nail's new Vinylux polish) last 7 to 10 days, pedis much longer. Love the hot towels that are part of her pedicures.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - sam d.San Antonio, TX1062Dec 25, 2011
I went in a couple of days ago for a simple trim and lost nine inches off my hair, at least. I even showed the girl a picture and she basically ignored it and gave me whatever haircut she felt like. It's horribly short and disgustingly uneven. I wish i could add a picture to this.. I'm a female and my hair looks like Kurt Russell's now. My biggest regret is that I told the girl I liked it because I didn't want to be rude. That's a mistake I'll never repeat. I will NEVER go there again, I cried for about 30 minutes afterwards.
