Omega Pediatrics

An incredibly unprofessional and disappointing experience. After sitting for 40 minutes in a dated, cluttered waiting area without any other patients present, we were told that our child could not been seen due to an internal clerical error. The office manager apologized for the inconvenience, but also said she has "seen this happen before" and "hoped the issue would fix itself" rather than training the receptionists on proper scheduling procedures. All in, my family wasted 90 minutes of a workday to not have any services rendered.

As soon as we left, we called a nearby pediatrician and explained the situation, who responded, "We've heard about this sort of thing happening at Omega before, unfortunately". Clearly there's a pattern of incompetence that is degrading the quality of care and reputation of this office. I'd advise any prospective patients to avoid it at all costs.

This is an awful place! Do not go! They just want to make money. I just moved to Atlanta and needs a pediatric visit to get medical forms filled.
I went to this place for the visit. During the whole process no one told the dental part will not be filled. I made it very clear that my goal was to get the forms filled so I can enroll my child to school as soon as possible.
We waited a long time for the doctor and the doctor only had like 2 minutes for us. And what is the worst is the dental part was not filled! After I submitted the school application, it was rejected because of the lack of information on the dental part.
I called the owner, and she was absolutely rude! I asked do I have the right to know what I will get for the visit. The owner's answer is NO! I was shocked to hear these words from her. That's insane!

Well, I absolutely adore the doctor himself. He's excellent and we've never had any issues. Until this morning, when the scheduler CALLED US to say there was a scheduling conflict and we'd have to be rescheduled. She asked if we could be there in two hours instead of late this afternoon (it's 9:30 AM, and we live over an hour away). When I told her no, that doesn't work for us we'd need a different date. SHE SAID WE'D HAVE TO PAY A $25 RESCHEDULING FEE FOR NOT GIVING HER 24 HOUR NOTICE. What?!! THEY CALLED US TO RESCHEDULE, and because we can't drop everything and be there in two hours, we get charged? Unbelievable. I repeated this to her twice and she insisted that we owed $25 now. I hung up on her. I better not receive a bill. Insane.

We took our daughter to get her ears pierced and all I can say is Dr. Nwaneri was Awesome!! He was both warm and knowledgeable, and made use feel at ease with the decision of piercing our baby girl's ears. If you are looking for a pediatrician to pierce your child's ears then go with Omega Pediatrics!

Please avoid this place at all costs...I really tried to give this place a chance, but I just couldnt keep taking my daughter there. I had expressed my concerns about wanting a referral to see a specialist and was told they would give me the referral information, via call..but I never got anything. Then I took my daughter to a sick visit which should have been a $35 copay but was charged $160. After several calls I was finally able to get my refund, but I had to have my insurance call them so that I could get reimbursed. She needed another referral that visit and I had to push to at least get a number so that I could call the place myself, because once again they told me they would just call. At that point I decided to move her to a new pediatrician and called and asked where to send the medical release form and was told to send via email. I didnt hear back after a week and sent email 3 times in the span of 3 weeks and still nothing. I called to tell them this was a priority because my daughter needed to see another pediatrician and they said they would check. Fast forward to the end of 3 weeks and I spoke to the supervisor very angry and upset and she said they didnt do it because it was emailed and not faxed. Every single time I called i was told to email... not fax. Again I told her the new pediatrician needs her records released in order to see her and she told me they would get to it; I was upset and told her to do it immediately because I was tired getting the run around (excuses) for weeks. We were a military family for 3 years and moved multiple times and I have never dealt with anything like this before. Records have always been released in a timely manner and/or I have communication as to why there are delays. Ive never had a pediatrician dismiss me the way I have at this place.

I usually do not write reviews but I feel as if this place needed it. If I could give less than one star I would! So glad he is not my child's pediatrician. We were recommended by one of our friends to get our babies ears pieced by this doctor. When we arrived the place was nice I had no concerns. We signed in an there was Dr Michael in the background on the phone. He did say hello and then we waited a good 10 minutes to be seen which is not bad because he was the only staff member there and we were the only patients. My daughter is 3 months old and with COVID19 going around we chose this would be the safest place for our baby to get her ears pieced. Well BIG MISTAKE. The Dr was friendly while we were there and he said he had been piercing for 3 years now so I didn't question how he went about piercing. First thing.. he did NOT mark each ear on where he would piece he kind of just winged it and with the baby crying so much we didn't realize until we got home how horrible it was. We called the doctor the same day his receptionist answered and we explained what happened and if we could re-pierce one side. She said she would have to call the doctor and ask. The Dr himself called us back and explained to us that if we wanted to re-pierce one side he we would have to pay him the $100(original cost for both) online again and that he would refund us $50. WTH! He still wanted to charge us more for HIS mistake. I feel as if you make the mistake or if he would have done the markings and we would have agreed then it would have been on us but that was not the case we even have a video because we recored the whole thing! Like I said if I could give this place zero stars I would because it was very unprofessional and rude !

I cannot say enough about Dr. Michael, he is the best!! Seriously!! They treat you like family and really take their time with you! I have been looking for a pediatrician for a long time and was unable to find anyone that I liked until a friend recommended Dr. Michael. First time we came in he sat down and talked to us and listened and addressed our concerns for over an hour!! He truly cares about his patients! I recommend him to all my friends! If you want a Dr that takes his time, truly cares and listens, you need to take your kids here!!

RUN! With your kids in your hands! I initially chose this office because I support black businesses but it grew to become one of the worst mistakes I ever made for my family. This office and staff are so unprofessional and unorganized. It was always an issue making an appointment and then would we would have one the doctor was always late. Or maybe just overbooked, I excused this several times because I did like him as a doctor. My initial impression of him was that he was kind, caring and educated. I didn't even mind his humor. I even enjoyed how personable he was with my children but then when it came to serious matters I always felt like he took my concerns as a joke. I took all 3 of my children here, but after it always being an issue either returning a simple phone call to receiving my personal records, referrals for therapy etc it has always been a hassle. I recently called to get my children's medical records. The phone was answered by a flat tone, non chalant receptionist by the name of Danielle. Not only did they not fulfill my request after allowing the whole day to go by, I called again and I was told that they no longer have any records or any of my 3 children in the system. That baffles me. I don't understand what is going on in this office but I advise you from one parent to another. Please find another pediatrician and do you research before you allow your children to be " cared for" in this hole in the wall. The front desk women all seem to be unprofessional and never know what's going on. I'm glad My children are no longer patients here! Do yourself a huge favor and RUN! To find a better office.

I absolutely love the doctor here! I was very nervous about his first shots and he made me so comfortable. I'm a first time mom by the way lol When he did my son's shots he played with him so he wasn't in so much pain. The doctors personality is fit for kids for sure. I started with two prior pediatrritians that I didn't feel comfortable with. You'll 100% love this doctor.

I looked high and low! I took recommendations from friends and family on different pediatricians. It was God who led me here to Omega Pediatrics. I delivered my son at 34 weeks and he spent about a month in the NICU due to feeding issues. The level of care I needed for him was important I just couldn't settle for a "regular" doctor. Dr. Nwaneri is extraordinary he takes those extra steps. Here we are a year later as my son just turned one. If I could do it all over again I'd choose Omega Pediatrics all over again. My fiancé is annoying and always asks 100 unnecessary questions and everyone is still always so nice. Im just so glad I found this place! I'm 8 months pregnant and the new addition to my family will also be going to Omega Pediatrics. Did I mention they are open until 9pm? Talk about dedication!
