Was here for a referral for my children, through my insurance.
While I did arrive earlier then requested for my appt, I do see where they like taking long lunches. :)
All the girl were very nice and sweet to both my kids. Making them feel comfortable and safe- this is important because my son is scared of the dentist... BUT he let them clean and do X-rays!!
The dentist was also friendly and accommodating... He opened the doors early and offered water while we waited!
He did say my son had over 6 cavities!! Not really sure on this one, but will update after we see the pediatric dentist.
I was very hesitant about this place based on reviews, and while I personally won't be back, I didn't see it as the worst place I've been to.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Grace V.Evergreen, San Jose, CA03Apr 9, 2021
THIS IS THE WORSE DENTAL OFFICE IVE EVER BEEN TOO. after my root canal, they forgot to give me antibiotics so the infection came back. My face was swollen for days. When I went back for me to work on it AGAIN(this is the third time and I still need to go back). He was not gentle with my mouth at all even tho I was in pain. They also didn't tell me what I needed to do in order to not hurt my tooth. It's just terrible. I went to the one on king. I'm pissed.

I choose this place because they were open on the weekends so I wouldn't take time off from work and my kids from school, man they make you wait at least an hour in the waiting area then an other hour inside, we stopped coming because their service is just crappie my kids filling came off and they don't want to go back to them, and as went in to pay my balance they surprised me with a balance that my daughter has from 2017 which I was never informed,

DO NOT GO HERE!
This establishment is very unprofessional and uncaring. Services provided here are borderline illegal. Neither Dentist nor employees care about solving the problem, just coming up with an excuse to get you out.
Performed different operations than what was stated without parental consent. (Illegal? Yes) Excuse? Receptionists told us the wrong thing.
Receptionists don't know what is really happening. Different info than dentist gives out. Excuse? Must have been the receptionist that they just fired. Oh wait, it was multiple receptionists that told us the same wrong info and one was sitting right there! I guess they let their fired employees continue to work and have access to restricted files. (Illegal? Yes)
Dentist's personal errands were more important than keeping our appointment. 2:30 appointment didn't start until after 3:30 when the dentist slowly strolled in with her coffee and chatting away casually on cell. If you want to have a 3 hour lunch break maybe you shouldn't make appointments until 3pm or later? Show some respect for your customers.
Dentist doesn't discuss anything with parents unless you raid the back and corner her. Excuse? That's how they do things.
Phone calls and messages not returned. Excuse? Phone lines must have been down.
Doubles as a daycare? Had a kid running through all the rooms and the hallway, obviously related to one of the employees.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Rosalinda R.San Jose, CA209568Mar 21, 2017

This dentist office is the worst of the worst. We go to this office for my children due to their insurance company. Our first visit there we arrived at 2:00 - the staff decided not to arrive until 2:30 from their lunch. We were stuck waiting outside for 15 minutes past our appointment time. The staff came in looking like they just got back from a night club by the way they were dressed. The only apology I received was "oh sorry we didn't know you were coming." Excuse me? Your lunch hours end at 2:00, we had an appointment at 2:15, and you didn't know we were coming?? So we go in wait another 15 mins because the dentist isn't in. They take my kids back to their rooms and let them watch tv. The rooms and set up are nice because they are open, no doors. The dentist comes in, I go to the waiting room, within a couple of minutes my youngest daughter, 3, comes out and is done. The dentist did not come talk to me or anything. Next my son, 7, comes out. Once again no dentist. I wait for her to come speak with us until finally the front desk worker asks if I need something. I said " ya I want to know if the dentist has anything to say about my son's tooth. " Oh ya he needs a root canal" so we then scheduled it.
3 days before the appointment I called and left a message saying I wanted to talk with the dentist and ask her questions about the appointment and left specific instruction on how to contact me. No one called me back and their excuse was the phone system was down at that time.
Next visit the appointment was at 2:30. We arrive at 2:30 this time and to no avail the front desk worker comes and says " oh the dentist won't be here until 3 is that ok?" NO IT IS NOT OK! My husband was kind enough to let her know it was not ok. I said I am not willing to reschedule so I will wait. 3:30 came along and no dentist. They took my son back to get him comfortable and let him watch tv. I then walked up to the desk and said " can I speak with the dentist as soon as she comes in. I need to ask her questions before she works on my son because I would like to know our options and the procedure being done?" The lady said ok. 3:45 the dentist walks in with a gift bag and Starbucks in hand, takes her precious time chatting with the front desk and handing them bags of goodies. Before I know it she is in the room with my son but she keeps walking in and out. Finally I see her in the room and notice no one is coming to get me. I walk back there and see him crying to the point tears are falling off his face, jerking his legs in pain and moaning in pain. But she looks up, sees me there, then tells him it's almost over. I didn't want to upset him more so I walked back in the waiting room.
Once he came out I asked to speak with her. I expressed to her why I was mad, that I asked her staff to notify her to talk to me before working on my son. I told her I thought it was unprofessional and not ethical to work on a child without the parents consent. She just replied " I'm sorry I didn't know but that's how things are done here. We take the kid back and do what needs to be done." I said well parents need to know whats going to be done. And no one told me what the post care, pre-care, treatment or anything was. I asked if there was a corporate office. No she is the owner.
I will be notifying my insurance company of this treatment since I don't know who else to go.
I will never take my children here again. They do what they want with no permission or care.Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Rick H.Palo Alto, CA016Nov 14, 2014
I had two implant teeth installed and was very pleased by the work. Dr. Chen and the staff were always friendly and I felt that Dr. Chen's work was excellent. The price was much more reasonable than my original dentist and I plan to go back for two more when the savings are equal to the job.

If I had the choice to come back here for whatever reason I had, I wouldn't.
The first time I walked into this place I THOUGHT this was probably a good business... NOT! Don't let the sight of this place fool you.
Their employees don't seem like they care about you. They don't show you how to properly brush and floss your teeth with braces on. They expect you to just know it. I had to learn from people that had braces before.
One of their employees was really impatient with me picking my colors. I took at most 30 seconds to look at it when she told me to hurry up! How rude is that? Another employee hurt me so bad that I felt like the part connected to my nose was going to rip off! That was the most painful experience EVER!
If you are on a budget and want to be treated like you're not worth their time, then come on over to One Stop Dental!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Maria P.San Jose, CA02Jan 25, 2013
