Delicious appetizers, cold beers, and amazing people.

This is by far one of my favorite Solvang spots. I love the delicately pan seared salmon. The inviting and relaxed ambiance complimented by the friendly and courteous staff completes the experiences.

Let's start with the service.
We made reservations for eight when we got there hostess said not sure if we have a table. Then they said outside is available. Sure it's cold outside at night but we'll take it. Asked for water and can they turn outside heaters on 15 minutes later got water. Waiter didn't know how to turn heaters on. Another 15 minutes I turned heater on.
Service was absolutely terrible. We were deliberately ignored, because the waiter already assumed they were guaranteed a good tip no matter what. It was over 20 minutes AFTER we said we were ready to order that they finally took our order. They never came back to offer drink refills, check on things, or remove dirty dishes.
Food was sub -par for the price we were paying.
Bad experience overall.

We arrived around 6:30, wanting to check in, but no host/hostess was to be found for 10+ minutes, and every server just ignored us -- when the hostess showed up, we put our name down and waited for notification.

Upon arriving again to be seated, we were left with choppy and quite frankly sub-par service.

The food was extremely mediocre, if not bad. Carbonara was not a real carbonara, coke was flat, and more.

Overall, do not recommend at all.

Came here with my friends and the burger came out raw. It was literally ice cold in the center. My other friend also got a burger and it was burnt. We also got charged with no notice for two friends sharing an entree. The bill said "split plate charge" but we did not even ask for the dish to be served on two different plates. This place is overpriced for the quality of food and charges extra for weird things like sharing food or using a credit card.

This is a cozy date spot in Solvang. Dim lighting and very friendly staff. The food was delicious; the lasagna was the stand out dish- good portion size and very flavorful. The carbonara was also good, enough to share between two people.

Right on the main strip in Solvang. Indoor or outdoor seating available. Service was quick and kind. Specials of the day always available. Open for Lunch or Dinner. Had the Chicken Piccata and my friend has the Scallops and Risotto. Absolutely delicious. Bread ahead with a little wine and vinegar. Vegetables fresh and colorful. Can't wait to go back

The food was delicious!!! The service was impeccable, the wine list was amazing. The filet of sole piccata was flavorful and tender. The Burratta salad was perfectly balanced. We loved every minute of our experience at Osteria Grappolo

It is a shame when you visit a place on vacation and have a bad experience.

My daughter made a reservation prior to our visit in Solvang. So even though
my son noticed negative reviews, we decided not to cancel our reservation just to be nice. Unfortunately the food was subpar; service was inadequate and we were rushed. We were non drinkers but we did order appetizers. We walked in promptly for our 6 o'clock reservation and by 7 o'clock, the owner (appeared to be) - a stern looking, lack of smile, grey haired gentleman came to clear the table. He looked like we offended him with our presence. I also noticed that when he went to the other side of the restaurant to interact with other customers, he was able to smile. I could only attribute that to our looks. May be he did not like to serve certain groups who should eat Asian food, not Italian food. Who knows? Unfortunately we wasted one meal at this worthless restaurant. Would NOT recommend.

A lovely dinner to end a busy night! We wanted something that wasn't deep fried with beer and this place just happened to still be open, so we snuck in right before the kitchen closed for the night.

We split some mozzarella sticks and a Caesar salad between us as we waited for our entrees. Basket of fresh baked bread and olive oil on the table. Everything was crisp, fresh, tasty - just the way it should be. Service was accommodating and present when needed - the kind of atmosphere that is fitting for a romantic evening or a demanding family (cough cough my mom).

We each tried something different from the dinner entrees. The sole Delfina was delicate and flakey, and the noodles were perfectly cooked with just enough lemon sauce. The Milanese di Pollo was deliciously seasoned and counterbalanced by the arugula and tomatoes. My mom thoroughly enjoyed her steak, cooked medium rare how she likes it.

And I think my sixth sense helped me out here because I felt my Nordic salmon was the best dish of the night - every bite was bursting with flavor, and I wish I had some more of those delicious carrots covered in the sauce. The sauce was epic. I must have eaten an entire bread basket with the sauce by myself.

Needless to say, there were very few leftovers... and the ones that we took back to the hotel disappeared overnight. Total success.

Had a great time at Osteria Grappolo celebrating my sister in law's birthday. We pre ordered most of our food and had the caprese salad, chicken piccata, pene bolognese, and tiramisu for dessert. Everything was delicious and served on a timely manner. The people were very nice and accommodating. The owner even came to our table a couple times and made sure everything was going well. That was appreciated.As for the ambiance you can expect to walk in a dim place with a medium noise level. Your not going to see kids running around so it's perfect for a date and well as a big group. I would recommend this place to anyone.
