I hired Paramount Builders to change the siding on my house. When we made the deal and signed the paperwork, I was advised that since I have animals that the crew would be meticulous in cleaning up after themselves, and that a magnet would be used to cover the area, removing small pieces of metal and nails. Although the crew picked up the large pieces of foam and siding, they did nothing with policing the area for smaller pieces of metal and nails.
Although the crew worked very hard, and did a nice job on replacing the siding (I am pleased with the new look of my house) the crew consisted of five men, four of which, spoke no English. There was one man on the crew who spoke both English and Spanish, but there was one day that they were working when he was unavailable, and although we had questions and concerns about some of the work going on that day, we were unable to address them because of the communication barrier.
While completing the work, the crew obviously used ladders, which were placed in my newly constructed rock flower bed. Although straight when they began, their ladders pushed the barriers out on multiple occasions, and it is now wavy and not what it was like when they started. We were advised that they would send someone back to repair their damage. They also tore holes in five of our window screens, and again advised that they would return to repair the damage.
The work was completed on October 31 and they were desperate to close out this work order for the end of the month. I did not speak to anyone at the finance company who was handling the money for this project, but it was almost as if the crew pulled out of my driveway, and I received a text from the finance company advising that they had released the funding to Paramount Builders.
The following week, someone did return from Paramount Builders to replace the screens, fix the rock, garden and police the area. However, he was only able to replace three screens as he ran out of material, did not police the area for nails, and advised us that the rock garden was damaged more than he could handle and they would need to send someone else out to repair it.
Unfortunately, now that they have their money, they are not willing to finish the repairs that they caused. We still have two window screens that have not been replaced, there is a Spicket cover that they did not provide, and the rock garden still remains untouched.
They have been called on several occasions, and either the person is out or they advise that they have done everything they need to do and they are finished.
I have to say that I had never heard of Paramount Builders until Covid. Once everyone was pretty much tied to their homes, it seemed like the president of the company, Ed Augustine was on my TV screen multiple times a day with these fabulous commercials about how his customers were like family and how he appreciated people giving them their business. He seemed very genuine, and apparently the company has been around for a while. However, their customer service is poor at best. They will treat you like family until their job is done and then they cast you aside. I did have other work that I wanted to consider having done. I will have the work done, but I will never hire this company again. I had a very poor experience... Not necessarily with the work that was done to change the siding on my house, but the cleanup and the repairs of damages done while the work was being done is my complaint.
The main reason I went with this company is because they offer a lifetime guarantee on the siding. However, given the fact that we are having a difficult time, getting them to repair damages that they caused, I am now concerned that they will not follow through with , any warranty work in the future. I certainly have a different opinion of this company now. I do not feel that I can recommend them with regard to their customer service. I believe their crews do what they are told they need to do and if they were told to run a magnet over my yard for nails, I believe they would have done it. Apparently when you have animals, it's not important to the company for them to remove those items which might cause injury. It is two weeks since we had the job completed and I am still picking up nails in my yard and in my rock garden.
I know this company has received quite a few positive reviews, but I am not a satisfied customer, so I certainly am not one of them!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 1 - Mike L.Virginia Beach, VA04Oct 26, 2023

Rueben and Aaron, we're very professional. They explained how their windows were made. they do not use vinyl and if you want the frame to have a different color than white it is baked into the window frame not painted. We ordered triple pained windows that if the argon ever leaked the window is guarenteed to be replaced. they told us it might take 4 to 6 weeks for the windows to arrive but we only had to wait 3 weeks!

We do not do any door to door sales. If you're referencing our marketing team-we DO set appointments door to door. This appointment would be set for our sales team to come to your home to do a free estimate for our products.

PARAMOUNT BUILDERS: Ed Augustine, y'all!
These folks, with the Pseudo, "Hey Y'all", Greeting, which sounds like he's trying to convince people , he's really from Virginia, from the Owner, should be a first warning of the Professionalism I was greeted with.
Paramount Builders name alone eschews they do a lot of everything.
I stopped by their office , in Va. Beach, several weeks ago, to get an estimate on Window Sill Repair. After waiting in a small Dark Hallway for 15 Minutes, when there finally appeared a Young Lady who told me they don't repair , they just sell Windows.
Their Advertising gives the impression , Y'all , that they do it all!
I have some friends in my Community recommend I call Beach Windows and Siding. I called the same Day and spoke with the Owner and they came out and gave me an estimate for the Repair of 6 Windows and finished the Job in 5 Hours. They also gave me an estimate for Window Replacement of all 9 Windows next Spring.
Hey, Y'all, who you gonna call!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - John C.San Francisco, CA02Oct 5, 2023

I would not recommend them. years ago I had them reside my home which included wrapping all the trim. I also had them reroof the house. Years later ( now) the white trim is flaking away the white revealing the metal underneath. I called the company and they said they knew it would do this sometimes and it was my responsibility to go after the manufacturer to get compensation . (I did ,but got very little cash snd certainly not enough to redo the job.) They used faulty material on my home refused to make it good. (The roof also leaked a few years later too.)

I would not recommend Paramount Builders to do Trim wrap. I am actually still waiting for a phone call from them to address my concerns (from June, it's now end of Sept). It has taken from the end of spring (paid deposit), the whole summer and now into fall (still waiting on final walkthrough) to do this trim wrap job which is a one story house of about 1,400 square feet ... not a large house at all!
They didn't replace the rotted wood, simply covered it up but still left some out to elements. Appears the trim was cut too short in many spots so they used caulk to fill the gaps. They send someone to fix some portions of the job, now half the house looks one way and the other half looks different.
The crew left nails and screws throughout the entire yard close to the house, I picked up two handfuls. Thank goodness the dogs didn't swallow any and thank goodness I had on big sole shoes when I stepped on one. I've also been picking up pieces of trim from my front flower bed to this day.
The scheduling department was rude, had to ask the guy to please stop screaming into the phone so that I could tell him my issues. They are really good with giving out excuses, for everything!
Definitely do your research, go to NextDoor and ask your neighbors who they used - go with that company not Paramount Builders.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I hired Paramount to replace the siding and gutters on my home. The quality of the installation was a solid 4 stars. The workers were polite, professional, and efficient.
After installation, they left several boxes of siding and foam sheets. I had to call them to get that removed.
That said, sales was very poor indeed. They provided different quotes from their Virginia Beach office, their Fredericksburg office and ( for a period) from a more local office.
Two years after siding installation, I had Paramount sales people telling me that I needed to replace my siding because it had extensive algae growth on it. The siding was supposed to be resistant to algae growth and I had a lifetime warranty (or so I thought). They never fixed that problem but they charged me to look at it.
In summary, their work is good, quality is mediocre, and support nearly nonexistent
I do not recommend this company!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Bob B.VA, VA07Jun 4, 2022
Aggressive sales and way overpriced for roof.
They wanted an answer right away even though we told them we were getting quotes from different companies upfront. Makes sense since their pricing was at least 3 times more than any competitor. They pulled out all the stops trying to pressure us into signing right away.
They wouldn't even give us a card so we could contact them after we were done evaluating our options. I think it is because they knew they were handing out a bad deal.
A lot like dealing with a shady use car salesman.
Stay away!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
